VINCENT CHARLES OWUOR
Career Objectives
I intend to improve the living standards of my society through innovation and creativity.
My future ambition is to touch as many lives as possible in a positive way, and in turn,
inspire change and development. I consider myself very blessed to have been part of
Chase Bank IR reopening. New laws, thesis and even case studies are being done
regarding Chase Bank Kenya IR and its unheard of story of going under and in a record
21 days, re-emerging from the deep and not only so, but thriving! Customer confidence
beyond the roof, even before reopening. Because of this, I am already inspiring change
and development in my Country.

DOB: October 31st 1988
Religion: Christian
Nationality: Kenyan
Marital Status: Married
Work History
Position: Service Delivery Manager
Employer: Chase Bank (k) ltd IR
Period (start to end): July 1st 2016 to Date.
Achievements:
 An honor to take part in bringing Chase Bank IR back to Operationalization.
Personally, since I am in direct contact with clients, I managed to bring the
clients confidence back in the Chase brand. In addition, through Excellent
Customer Experience, clients not only left their deposits, but also deposited more.
 Getting in touch with our clients and with a lot of empathy, explaining our
current In Receivership situation and the way forward in regard to their finances.
 I am proud of the fact that I directly took part in encouraging clients to continue
banking with us, since my Branch is top in transactions and my tellers are also
actually the best in terms of transactions. Due to the enabling environment and
balanced leadership, my Customer Service team has been able to consistently
activate dormant account almost in a daily basis due to the return of clients.
 In my role, I have personally managed to frustrate four attempted fraud
incidences which would have resulted in a loss to the bank in millions. Due to
careful scrutiny of documents and adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC),
Prudential Guidelines and Anti Money Laundering (AML) Policies, I have
managed to keep at bay fraud.
 I work with a diverse team with different strengths and from different fields with
different personalities. In account of all this, I am glad to say that I have worked
with the best young minds in the industry. Very agile, tech savvy and also very
vibrant full of innovative ideas. I have so far come up with over five ideas of
which some are in the pipeline for implementation.
 I have worked directly will Central Bank of Kenya and Kenya Commercial Bank
Staff to bring back Chase Bank Kenya IR. The pool of great minds from these
three institutions has grown me considerably as a seasoned banker with the best
experience.
Position: Customer Service, Credit Officer, Teller, Senior Support Officer.
Employer: Chase Bank (k) ltd
Period (start to end): March 24th 2014 to July 1st 2016.
Achievements:
I joined the bank as a Customer Service Officer and also a Teller. These roles helped me
a lot since I dealt will all the pillars of the bank, Business Development and Operations.
I also got an opportunity to work in Kisii branch in support of the branch Customer
service. During this time I got the opportunity to interact with a different market and also
staff members who contributed to my growth in branch operations.
When I got back to Kisumu Branch, I took up the role of Credit Officer in a bid to slow
down and push down the branch Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
During my time performing this role, I got called up to hold fort at Narok branch as the
Senior Customer Service officer was going on leave. When I got there, I managed to
seamlessly settle down and increase my experience by interacting with a different
market. The senior role helped me position myself for growth as it gave me confidence
since I was alone handling all clients at the customer service desk.
When I got back to Kisumu Branch, I fully took up the role of Bank Teller at the main
branch and did so for quite some time. When Kisumu Express Naivas branch was
opened, I was recommended for the position and I took it up serving as Teller/Customer
Service and also business Development. I was later recalled to the main branch where I
had to relieve the Assistant Branch Manager when he went on leave for 2 weeks.
Immediately he came back, I went to Narok Branch to again relieve the Assistant
branch manager for 2 weeks. When I got back, the Assistant Branch Manager was
promoted to Branch Manager of Kericho Branch and I took up the role.
Position: Competitor (Team Leader)
Employer: Unilever East and Southern Africa
Period (start to end): August to November 2013
Responsibilities:
 My duty involved the formulation of an innovative and creative idea that would
improve Lifebuoy sales and encourage hand washing. I got to the final 7 out of
1,450 other ideas together with my team mates in the competition.
 Business plan drafting
 Execution plan drafting
