Drop Shipping in the Q-Commerce Era, A case study of Daraz. pk | Project by FAHAD HASSAN NOOR under observation by Mustafa Hannan Mehboob | UCP University Of Central PUNJAB
The research project considered dropshipping in the Q-commerce era in our national setting as
Pakistan's E-commerce industry is evolving, and the supply chain structure of Daraz.pk is
exactly the phenomenon to be studied. The article acknowledges that more entrepreneurs are
turning to dropship, which is market-driven and a way for entrepreneurs with little cash to set
into an e-commerce business. The importance of dropshipping as an instrument that dismantles
retailers from stock and warehouse concerns is emphasized here. The effort is shifted to
marketing and customer acquisition. This research will be about analyzing what Q-commerce –
assumed to be a non-conforming model that conforms to modern consumers’ demands of
instant service– has done to the economies and the dynamics in Pakistan.

Personal Experience
Discoveries/Observations
Doing internship in MCB Islamic Bank is very interesting and challenging experience for
me as a business student. I have gain a lot of experience in my internship duration and it was a
great experience working with the different people. I have to performed many activities during
my internship about which I just had bookish knowledge. With the help of this internship I
improved many skills like communication confidence and problem solving. I will recommend for
every BBA Student should performed all assigned activities with full passion so that this time
period helped her/ him in his /her practical life. Internship is a precious asset for our future life.
Additionally, I have learned more about HR department and their duties specifically
Learning & Development unit of HR. I have learned how HR people have to manage, assess,
motivate and train companies’ resources. I got a clear concept of HR. I get to know how office
work is done and manage, how you can complete your work easily and more efficiently. To be
very honest, I have learned how to deal with political situation in an office. Most importantly I
got a lot of experience by doing internship in this organization.
9. Page9
Moreover, you want to get experience what they give to you and also by seeing and
observing them, how they work and what they do.
Problems Identified
Following are the problems which I have observed during the tenure of my internship.
o Lack of benefits given to the employees
o No source of motivations except wages and salary
o A lot of paper wastage
o No curricular activities or any entertainment
o Not enough space for employees
o No common/prayer room to spent break hours
Personal Account of Interactions with Others at Work Place
Talking about the personal interaction with other at work place is good all the
employees of rank first line to top level managers are humble and polite towards the internees
and the people who are in learning stage to understand the company’s dynamics. Not only with
their internees but also with their staff and customers they treat them very politely and well
manneredly.
Specific Skilled Learned
During the tenure of my internship I developed
o Patience
o Teamwork
o Smart Work
o Responsibility
o Communication Skills
o Got more efficient in MS Office, especially in MS Excel
o How office work is done and managed
10. Page10
Most Challenging Task Performed
. As I was working there as an internee so they only gave those tasks that can be
performed easily and can be attainable. Whenever they gave me any task, first they guide me
what to do and how to do so, I didn’t find any difficulty to performing my task which was
assigned to me.
Future Recommendations
Following are the suggestions/recommendations which I like to suggest MCB Islamic
Bank Limited.
o Online and Computerized Banking Facilities
The Bank should convert paper work and file system to a digital format. Now-a-
days, soft wares have been much established, so The Bank should take measures to
reduce paper work load from their employees by introducing latest digital system.
o Reward System
The Bank should provide perks and benefits to each and every employee on the
basis of their performance. E.g. proper employee space, common room, separate prayer
area, proper washrooms or in other words a whole new and well established building
for office employees.
o Curricular Activities
There should be some activities for fleshing employees mind. Organization
should manage some games or trips so they can relief their stress by taking parts in
these activities.
11. Page11
Overall Comparison between Theory (things you have learned in the
classroom) and Practice
During the tenure of my internship I have done as well as observed many practical
activities and I observed that there is a big difference between the bookish knowledge and
practical work but we cannot deny the importance of theoretical knowledge because this
knowledge provides a base line for practical work.
In my opinion practical work is different and more challenging from theoretical work.
Things that I have observed at MCB Islamic Bank Head Office are as follows:
o Theoretical knowledge just gives us an idea about an activity but in practice these
activities are more cleared to us by doing them.
o We learn more by the execution of activities in practical.
o MIB keeps data of every purpose or every issue that happened, but in classroom the
data is not compulsory to be stored of every matter.
o We have to follow the rules and policies strictly in MIB whereas we skip the rules and
regulation in teaching institution.
o A complete medium is used for any task where in classroom it is not compulsory for
routine work.
o Every employee (officers as well as staff) follows the hierarchy of supervisor or
authority.
12. Page12
