Veritas Recruiting Group offers two types of direct-hire placement services, Retained Executive
Search and Contingency Search:
PRIORITY RETAINED EXECUTIVE SEARCH
A Retained Executive Search is ideal in situations where you have a critical Senior-Level Executive
opening. A Retained Search has all of the advantages of a contingency search, without many of the
disadvantages.
Retained Search process:
• Client pays an up-front retainer.
• We conduct a highly focused recruiting partnership with your company.
• We create an extensive plan specifically for this unique search to identify, attract, evaluate
and secure the very best talent in a timely manner.
• We create a compelling presentation to take to market that you will approve before we
ever speak to a potential candidate about your opportunity.
• Once we cover the market and screen based on the needed skills and parameters, you will
then receive “first right of refusal” and we will not present these vetted candidates to any
other company until you have made the decision to proceed or pass.
• After you decide to hire the right fit for your team, the balance of the placement fee (total
fee minus retainer) is then paid.

CONTINGENCY SEARCH
Working with Veritas on a contingency basis is a risk-free way to evaluate and ensure that you
hire the best fit for your team, as you only pay a service charge if you decide to hire someone that
we refer to you.
Contingency search is typically used for Staff level and Mid-Management level openings and can be
used for executive level positions.

Our three-phase placement process is comprehensive:
1. Recruiting: 8-step recruiting process to identify & attract top-tier talent, thoroughly
evaluate potential candidates for technical and subjective criteria, and help manage the
interview process so that both candidate and client make educated and informed decisions.
1. Needs & Opportunity Analysis - we thoroughly discuss with the hiring manager(s) the key
aspects for each role, the immediate and long term business objectives of the role and the
culture of the department; as well as the traits, knowledge and experiences needed to meet
those objectives. Clarifying the technical and subjective needs and wants helps us
determine the profile of the right candidate. Determining the opportunities available and
reasons why top talent would want to work there helps us craft a compelling message to
attract the best talent.
2. Research & Planning - We do not post on job boards any of the positions we are working on
for our clients. Our clients work with us because of our recruiting skills, market knowledge,
contacts and ethics. We identify talent by direct-recruiting out of other companies,
referrals and networking.
3. Connect & Attract - for any one search we connect with over 100 potential candidates and
confidentially discuss and position the opportunity, focusing in on their identified criteria
for change.
4. In-depth Interviews - we thoroughly interview potentially qualified candidates (10
candidates per job on average), digging into their technical abilities and experiences as well
as their criteria for change beyond compensation/benefits.
5. Client Interview Prep - we provide information and guidance to both client and candidate
in preparation of any interviews and meetings to help both focus on the right areas.
6. Client Interviews - Help coordinate interviews with the top 3-4 candidates in the market,
either in our offices (Lake Mary and DT Orlando) or in the client company offices.
7. Debrief - we debrief both candidate and client with pre-set questions that dig into their
analysis of the interview and overall fit. We also discuss compensation at each interview
stage and continually pre-close on potential offer and counter offer.
8. Reference Checks - rather than completing generic reference checks, we dig into areas of
concern that the hiring manager would like further clarification. This provides the decision
makers with a better evaluation tool.
2. Offer: we help broker the offer between company and candidate, helping to ensure that
extended offers are accepted.
3. Transition: we make certain that the candidate who accepts an offer isn't lured back to their
original company by a counter-offer; isn't using the offer as leverage with other
opportunities; and that they are and stay 100% focused on starting their new job.
Ultimately, our goal is to help our client companies reduce the chance of hiring the wrong
person (which wastes valuable time, resources and money). Whether the hire is one of our
candidates or someone found through other sources, our clients make the hiring decision with
the peace of mind that they are hiring the best person for the job and not just the best of what
they get from a posting.
