This document summarizes the results of a finite element analysis (FEA) simulation conducted using HyperMesh. The analysis modeled stress on a rectangular steel plate with nodes constrained on the left side and a displacement applied to nodes on the right side. The simulation found the maximum principal stress was 2.368 x 10-2 N/mm2 and the displacement at node 5 was 0.002 m. Graphs of displacement, stress, and von Mises stress over the plate are presented. The results show uniform stress across the plate, indicating the model passed the patch test for this ductile material.
