posters and wallpapers and are using Nature as
a theme.
The wall decoration is infused with Cobalt
Chloride, which will shift color when exposed to
a high level of humidity from sky blue to purple or
even pink.

In collaborations with real estate agencies VELUX
offers a personal home check, whether you are
interested in renovating or buying a new home.
We will send an expert introducing and guiding
you to achieve the best possible indoor climate in
your home. We also give you a recommendation
for a complete package of Velux products, as for
example our VELUX ACTIVE with NETATMO,
that makes it easy to get a healthier indoor climate.

14. The Indoor Climate Certificate
We believe that VELUX has the power to put indoor climate on the political agenda.
We have developed the Indoor Climate Certificate - similar to the well-known Energy Performance
Certificate.
The ICC will evaluate the indoor climate situation in a given home, by the five parameters:
Temperature, humidity, CO2 level and noise.
The evaluation will result in a score, which will be used when selling/buying a home. This will help
consumers to evaluate the Indoor Climate in a home before buying it.

Temperature
The optimum indoor
temperature in a home
should be 22 degrees
celcius. This will keep
you and your home
warm without the risk of
mold emerging. If the
temperature is below 22
degrees it can lead to,
condensation and mold
which can lead to
asthma. If it is above 22
degrees it can lead dry
skin, eyes, and
mucous membrane.
Humidity
The level of indoor
humidity should be
between 60-65% in the
summer and 40-45% in
the winter. It is measured
in g/m3 and shows the
mass of water vapor in a
certain amount of air. If
the humidity level is too
high it can lead to head
aches, asthma, and the
emerging
of mold.
CO2 level
There should not be
more than 1000 ppm
(parts per million) indoor
which is the number of
CO2 molecules among
air molecules. If the CO2
level is too high it can
lead to head aches,
fatigueness, and
concentration problems.
Air pollution
There can be many
sources for indoor air
pollution. The most
common ones are caused
by cooking, burning
candles, cleaning
detergents, dust, animal
hair, and pollen.
Each of these particles
are measured in different
units. Too high air

Noise levels
