The problems of academic fraud are rooted in the NCAA s academic standards, and rules. After
receiving many complaints about the relaxed punishment for low academic performance, the
NCAA raised the stakes for doing badly in college. Although this originally seemed like a good
thing, the NCAA covertly and subsequently lowered the standards for enrollment to these same
colleges. Hence, less qualified people were subject to more pressure to succeed, and their fear of
punishment spurred a series of scandals regarding academic fraud (Watkins 81). The purpose of

9th Street Children Park Problem
Kids thrive off interaction with each other and playing . They need this interaction to grow socially,
physically, and mentally. When there playgrounds get torn down, mistreated, and rundown it
presents problems for these kids lives. The problem I am focusing on is the 9th Street Childrens
Park. The problem with it is that it s getting worn down and becoming a small hazard.
This problem has been becoming worse and worse over the past decade. Concerns have grown
with it as well. Parents are concerned about their children s safety, and I would have to both agree
and disagree. The main problem with the park is the main structure. The wood is untreated and the
bolts are well past starting to rust. Rust can turn metal sharp and increase the risk of injury and

Both Arm Wrestling with My Father and Shooting Dad written by Brad Manning and Sarah Vowell,
respectively, portrays a damaged and rough relationship that a son and/or daughter holds with his
father. Although they both find themselves struggling, they are dealing with different things,
Manning is dealing with a physical bounding, while Vowell finds herself handling a more emotional
and communicative type of bonding. Eventually, both characters find themselves in a mature

One of the many arduous decisions parents face is how to raise their children. Over time, renowned
thinkers the world over have identified and coined different distinct styles of parenting and their
outcomes. Diana Baumrind is credited for her three styles of parenting: permissive, authoritarian,
and authoritative. Amy Chua first identified a particular style of parentingcharacterized by strict
regulations known as Tiger Parenting in her book Battle Hymns of the Tiger Mother. In contrast,

create? Do you see the nature all around us? Those were many of the thoughts and questions that
ran through my head when reading the poem The World Is Too Much With Us , by William
Wordsworth. Throughout the story there were three messages that stood out the most in
Wordsworth s poem, which involve love, the power to not care and be greedy, and creation within
the mind.
In the poem the writing can be taken and understood many different ways, but one thing that
stood out to me was the message of love. Now not necessarily love for one another but love for
nature was expressed throughout the poem through various ways. We have given our hearts
away, a Sordid boon! (Wordsworth, Line, 5). What William was trying to explain in just that
line was we would give our hearts away to nature at any point, because it s the love for the way
that nature is and all its beauty and peace. It can so easily capture our hearts to love nature and
all it has to offer. Furthermore, Wordsworth, talks a lot and describes a lot about what nature does.
For instance. He talks about how the sea is at night time, how the wind has a sort of howl to it, and

When warned by her sister that she should not go against the decree, she says, He is my brother

statement shows her pride in the fact that as long as she is doing right by the gods, by giving

Introduction
The essay will from my example show that individual including myself are not rational when
making decisions. I will be using a diverse range of theories from the standard economic model to
explain how the decision made during these experiences showed a rational behaviour and how it
violates the standard economic model. Behavioural Economics according to is the combination of
psychology and economics that investigates what happens in markets in which some of the agents
display human limitations and complications. The major theories that I will be discussing for the
standard economic model will be (Smith, 1976. Schiffman, 2007. Lowenstein et al, 1991) to
understand the economic model and its assumptions on individual rationality. Behavioural
economics theory helped explains my observation from my online shopping experience and
irrationality of individuals when it involves decision making.
