What is VASER Lipo?
VASERlipo® can produce impressive results by treating areas of fat with ultrasound
energy, then gently removing the fat through a small tube inserted under the skin.
The procedure is tissue-selective, targeting fat while protecting other tissues from
damage. It’s powerful enough to eliminate substantial areas of fat but gentle enough
to treat delicate areas such as the neck and arms.
This is a minimally invasive process with less tissue injury than traditional liposuction
procedures.

How it is done
SPEP 1: INFILTRATION
The targeted area is injected with a special saline
solution (tumescent fluid) to numb the area and
shrink local blood vessels. It also temporarily expands
the volume of the target area, making fat cells easier
to remove.
STEP 2: ULTRASONIC DELIVERY
Small probes are then inserted into the body through
small incisions. These probes resonate at a high
ultrasound frequency, shaking fat cells loose while
leaving surrounding tissues intact.

How it is done
STEP 3: ASPIRATION
The loose fat cells mix with the tumescent fluid, and
are then removed from the body using special
cannulas which help preserve the tissue matrix.
STEP 4: SKIN RETRACTION
After surgery, patients are prescribed a recovery
regimen to promote maximum skin retraction and
smooth results. Your physician may recommend
massage therapy to enhance results and speed
recovery.

Will I be have to pay for the consultation?
At Nu Cosmetic Clinic, we charge for consultation only once. You can visit us multiple
times and talk to our surgeon as many times as you wish. We will arrange for you to
talk to our surgeon via phone and email as well. We will not charge you every time
because we understand that you will be confident about your surgery only when all
your concerns have been answered satisfactorily.
If you wish to go for the surgery or any of the alternative procedures which have
been explained to you by our patient coordinator, then we will waive off the
consultation fee.

What happens at the consultation with Nu Cosmetic
Clinic?
1. At your first consultation you will be asked what is bothering you about your
body, what are the problem areas and about your expected outcome from the
surgery.
2. Your patient coordinator will then explain about the procedure that’s ideal for
you based on your lifestyle and budget. You will be examined to check if you are
suitable for the procedure . If you are considered suitable you will be told about
the operation, the expected outcome and all associated risks and complications.
3. You will also be explained about all the alternative options available to you along
with the merits and demits of each.

What happens at the consultation with Nu Cosmetic
Clinic?
4. You will be given a quote regarding the cost. You will be offered a package price
that covers the cost of treating any complications arising in the initial weeks after
the operation.
5. You will also be explained about our Lifetime Aftercare Policy . As per this policy
if any complication arises due to the surgery, we will provide you the required
aftercare free of cost.
6. If you wish you can choose to talk to our surgeons multiple times before making
up your mind about the surgery

What can I expect while I am undergoing the procedure?
• Vaser Lipo is a safe and minimally invasive procedure, it can remove upto 4 litres
of fat in few hours.
• Treatments normally take between 45 and 90 minutes depending on the area to
be treated and no overnight stay is required.
• The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia (awake), IV sedation, or
general anaesthesia.
• Because of the anaesthetic used, the procedure is performed with minimal
discomfort. Some patients report feeling some gentle pokes and prods but the
procedure is completed with very little pain or discomfort.

What can I expect after the procedure?
• After treatment, you may experience some bruising, swelling, redness and loose
skin around the treatment area, but this will subside over the following weeks.
• We will advise you to wear a compression garment for two weeks after the
procedure to help the healing process.
• We recommend that you to take up to a week off work following the procedure
(more if your job is particularly physical). Strenuous activities, heavy lifting and
intense exercise should be avoided for about 6 weeks after your surgery.
• You can expect to see a change in your shape immediately after treatment, and
this will improve week on week. But, the full effect won’t be visible for 3 to 6
months after your procedure.
