This document discusses two new frontiers of tangible interaction: 1) physical representation of digitally enriched objects that can be manipulated, and 2) touchless gestural interaction using body movements without additional devices. It then describes a Kinect-based application for autistic children that aims to create interest and motivation, foster physical activity, improve communication skills, and promote social interaction through relation and teamwork with customizable and remote therapy options that are flexible and adaptable.
