Utthan is an organization that aims to eradicate problems like child labor, school dropouts, lack of girl education, and child abuse. It does so through organized volunteer groups and a core team that provides training and resources to the volunteer groups. The volunteer groups work directly in schools to implement programs around making school more engaging for students, providing skills training to help students learn and earn from marketable products, and conducting awareness programs around sensitive topics like sex education. Utthan centralizes the marketing and sale of products made by students across different schools to reach a larger market. Its goal is to address social issues at the grassroots level through community involvement.

27. SRE Program
When we were surveying and looking for answers why girl drop out
are high after certain section basically after attending puberty.
We came across this fact from many people that
“ladke pareshan karatein hain ladkiyoan
ko”
And when we went deeper to the problem we came to know the
problem is -the way they conceive things in their minds, have a lot of
misconception about SEX, Psychological changes and Relationships.

28. How to conduct SRE.
Since this is a sensitive topic we need to handle it properly.
Most children in India get most of this information from
peers, books, magazines, websites and various other
sources. This leads to misconcepts and does more harm
than actually good.
Organizing teachers Training Workshops: regarding this important
issue, equipped them with proper, trusted references.
Female volunteers to interact and to make parents and
guarding aware regarding these physical and psychological
changes occurring to his ward and how to handle it, and start
talking about it.
Sex education we have to start talking about it otherwise
someone else will do, and we do not know weather he will
pass right information or not.

29. Benefits of SRE.
Since this is a sensitive topic we need to handle it properly.
For us no kid is Good or Bad, it the way we mould
them, so we need to take care of this sensitive topic
proactive without letting untrustworthy sources
reaching them, providing wrong information.
Change in attitude of boys for girls
Better understanding about SEX and Relationships, which help
them in later stages of life.
Providing them knowledge about inappropriate behaviour
to protect them selves in these circumstances
They would respect woman.
A clear and better picture for all physical and psychological
changes.

Only possible when teachers and parents are trained.
