I oversaw the process of hiring consultants and coordinated organization baseline surveys, midterm
evaluations and end programme/project evaluations which were funded by WVUS, WV Germany, WV
Australia, WV Switzerland, WV Japan, WV Honkong, WV Irend, WV Canada, WV UK, “Area Development
Programmes” programmes which aimed to contribute in transformational Development and sustanined
well-being of children within families and communities, especially the most vulnerable.
Outputs:
Designed the baseline survey and evaluation ToRs, including questionnaires, and checklists for
household surveys, FGDs, KIIs, Secondary data, observational and case studies to measure changes
both quantitatively and qualitatively.
Trained enumerators and worked with 8 evaluation consultants in FY16 to ensure consistent results
from more than 4,800 households surveyed 1,600 children in primary schools for Functional Literacy
assessment, and 3,200 adolescents in and out of schools for Youth Health Behavior Survey in the 8
multi- sectoral Area Development Programmes operating in different Regions of Tanzania.
Trained focus group discussions enumerators and held key informant interviews to gather information
for the evaluation.
Reviewed fact sheets submitted by the consultants for data quality assurance, re-analysed data
submitted data sets using excel, disaggregating results by gender for accuracy verification.
Reviewed Evaluation reports before they were sent to the respective support offices; the report
assessing the results for each indicator in the log frame and recommending changes for the remaining
