I am currently engaged as the Senior
Pavement Design Engineer within DPTI.
Currently my role involves new pavement
design, rehabilitation, involvement in (and on
occasion) design for major projects, updating
of specifications and standards. The role also
requires review and innovations of current
practices through liasing with contractors,
consultants and internal/external key
stakeholders.
I am currently engaged or completed

(Southern Expressway Duplication)
I was engaged as the Design
Manager/Completions Manager on the
Southern Expressway Duplication project in
South Australia. This was a joint venture
project between Baulderstone and Abi Group.
This $400M project involved 18.5km of new
freeway duplication with several bridges and
pedestrian bridges.
This D&C contract was carried out as a
collaborative arrangement with DPTI. The
project was substantially completed in
September 2014.

Aug 2008 – Aug 2010 (Fulton Hogan,
Compliance Manager)
I was engaged as the Compliance Manager on
the Northern Expressway project in South
Australia. This was a joint venture project in
South Australia and was the largest
infrastructure project in South Australia in
recent times. This $560M project involved
23km of new freeway construction with 5
interchanges and connections to the Gawler
Bypass and Port Wakefield Road. It included
3.0 mill cu m of earthworks, almost 500,000
tonnes of granular pavement and 450,000
tonnes of asphalt.
This D&C contract was carried out as a
collaborative arrangement with Department of
Transport Energy and Infrastructure. The
project finished ahead of the scheduled
completion date of December 2010
