JOB SUMMARY
For elevated roads and bridges, I personally manage and supervise the work for the application/paving of
Polymer Modified Asphalt (PMA) from table planning up to the physical implementation and handover. My
primary function is to ensure that all works are done in accordance to the working drawings and complete the
same at the soonest possible time and at the highest possible quality standards known to trade.
Other related works as QA/QC Manager in consonance to asphalting works includes:
Bored Piling works
Earthworks from excavation to backfilling and water proofing works
Post tensioning of concrete deck slabs
Steel fabrication and placing
Concrete works from erection of scaffolds/formworks up to placing.
Traffic Management, Planning and Diversions
2. Material Testing (Steel, Concrete, Post Tensioning, Waterproofing, Compaction, Asphalt, etc.
Finishing Works (Painting using Anti-Carbonation Paint, Tile Settings, etc)
Fabrication and installation of Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and
Partial involvement with Mechanical/ Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works.
OUTLINE ON ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Project Manager in the performance of his duties in relation to asphalting works concerning
problems and issues that needs to be addressed to.
Coordinate with other departments such as Technical Offices, Survey, Safety, Procurement, and other
concerned department for the smooth implementation of the asphalt paving works.
Manages the overall operation of the batching plant to ensure that no delays caused by equipment and
machine breakdown will affect the project.
Attend coordination meetings with the client consultant, (Dar Al Handassah), in relation to progress of
work and other matters/issues of relative importance to the project.
Directly supervises field personnel assigned to the project.
Review working drawings and make necessary recommendation for the improvement of the project.
Preparation of project quality assurance plan, procedures, ITP and issuance to client/consultant for
review and approval.
Ensure all Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documents such as plans, working procedures,
ITPs, method statements, checklist are completed and approved by the Consultant before distributing
to project team for implementation.
Briefing the QA/QC requirement to the site team and sub-contractors for effective implementation of
all quality documents.
Supervises and coordinates the project team of QA/QC engineers and activities during the execution of
the projects.
Liaising with the project team to ensure that quality deliverables are executed in line with contract
requirement
Reviewing of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Instructions (SI) an consultants comments on
inspection request and recommend necessary measures for corrective action to close the issues of
concern.
Monitor, manage and coordinate for QMS implementation- including new procedure generation,
revision and compliance.

Ensure that inspection of all project activities are carried out prior to consultant’s inspection.
Ensure that effective management of on site QC inspection and testing activities.
Control of monitoring and measuring and testing equipment and the calibration records.
Evaluating reports from quality assurance and control inspection and accurately relaying this
information to top management and advising for the improvement.
Reviewing technical problems and procedures of departments and recommending/implementing
solution to problems or changes in procedures.
Prepare weekly/monthly quality report for submission to consultant and management.
Ensuring the all quality records are completed, indexed, maintained and ready for handover in final
package.
