The Gorgon Project
The Gorgon Projectis one of the world's largestnatural gas projects and the largestsingleresource development in
Australia'shistory. The project will develop the Gorgon and Jansz-Io gas fields,located within the Greater Gorgon area,
about 130 kilometres off the north-west coastof Western Australia.Itincludesthe construction of a 15 million tonnes
per annum (MTPA) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) planton BarrowIsland and a domestic gas plantwith the capacity to
provide300 terajoules per day to supply gas to Western Australia
2. Wicet Project
Wiggins Island Coal ExportTerminal Pty Ltd (WICET) is owned and being developed by existingand potential coal
exporters located in Queensland to provideincreased longterm export coal capacity. The Terminal will be located at
GoldingPoint, to the west of the existingRG Tanna and Barney Point
Terminals.
Once fully commissioned,the multi-billion dollar industry-owned and privately funded Terminal will provideover 80
million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) in additional exportcoal capacity through the Port of Gladstone. The estimated cost
to build the projectis $2.5 billion and will provide800 jobs on siteduringthe construction phaseand employ up to 120
personnel duringoperation.
