Consafe Logistics needed to improve and scale its quality processes to keep up with its growing global customer base. It contracted with System Verification to conduct an analysis of its inventory management system and development processes. This revealed opportunities to increase process adherence, refine project structure and measurement metrics, and implement test automation. As a result, Consafe Logistics improved delivery quality and efficiency while freeing up staff time, and plans to roll out the new quality assurance concepts across all its business areas.

OW2con'14 - Open Source software quality and OW2 SQuAT initiative, CETICOW2
Ensuring the sustainability of Open Source projects is important, especially when organized in ecosystems of interrelated projects. Generic methodologies like SQALE or QualOSS describe how to assess maturity covering product, process and community aspects. Specific ecosystems have defined their own quality model, like OW2’s SQUaT Mature Transition Checklist. Such quality assessment of Open Source Ecosystems should be efficiently supported. In this talk we will present the CHOOSE toolset we have developed to help in automating and uniformly managing the quality of a whole Open Source Ecosystems. Our toolset is based on 35 key indicators related to maintainability, reliability and community which are used to implement and automate the production of OW2’s Mature Transition Checklist. The generic architecture of the toolset will be presented how it is instantiated to implement the OW2 Mature Transition Checklist and to efficiently interface with the OW2 forge. The toolset implementation will also be detailed stressing the use of Open Source components for the workflows' orchestration (Bonita), project/code analysis tools (HtmlUnit, QualOSS) and automatic report generation tools (JasperReports). Finally, a validation on a subset of 21 OW2 projects with an in-depth focus on a few projects (Chameleon, Spago and Orchestra) to produce maturity reports.

AN INNOVATIVE SQA SERVICE MATURITY MODEL USING CMMI AND ITIL cscpconf
This paper details a maturity model for SQA services which has been developed during QMS
implementation in the IT division of a large multinational European bank.
The scope of the engagement was to establish a standard set of processes based on CMMI® and
ITIL® Framework across four business verticals scattered in Europe, United States and Asia.
The services of Software Quality Analyst (SQA) from different vendors were leveraged by the
bank to facilitate implementation of the processes which was referred to as the Quality
Management System (QMS).
To co-ordinate and support QMS process implementation, a Software Quality Assurance Group
(SQAG) was established at the organization level. The role of SQAs was to facilitate the
deployment of QMS by mentoring and guiding practitioners through the software development
and maintenance lifecycle, identify deviations and addressing the same, based on CMMI and
developed to eventually conduct periodic process compliance checks to verify process
implementation at pre-defined intervals, collate feedback from practitioners on challenges faced in implementation, identify process improvement opportunities and implement the same.
The CTA implemented an ISO 9001 quality management system and ProjectNet, a web-based project management system, to improve efficiency in managing its multi-billion dollar capital improvement program. The systems were designed to streamline processes, focus on customer satisfaction, and enable continuous quality improvement. After implementing the systems over 12 months, the CTA received ISO 9001 certification. ProjectNet and the quality system provided benefits like reduced project durations, improved collaboration, and cost savings. Examples showed projects being completed ahead of schedule and under budget. The quality initiatives improved the CTA's capital program management and delivered benefits to citizens through more efficient transportation improvements.
This document discusses advanced software quality assurance practices that deliver business and customer value. It outlines an end-to-end software testing life cycle approach along with automation frameworks, delivery models, and metrics. Key aspects covered include building an effective testing team, implementing testing processes and tools selection, offering outsourcing options, discussing test automation strategies, and defining business-oriented metrics. The presentation aims to explain how to establish a mature software quality assurance program.

New College Lanarkshire was implementing digital ID cards to replace physical cards for its 12,000 students annually. This was to address issues with producing and distributing plastic cards at the busiest time of year, which cost over £1 per card when including materials but not staff time. The college partnered with Yoti to provide a digital ID card option through their app that students could download, reducing the need to carry a physical card. Over 2,000 students utilized the digital ID card app in the first year of implementation, delighting registration staff and being cost neutral compared to physical cards. While some students preferred a physical card, the program was considered a success and will be further trialled.
This document discusses strategies for effective hybrid delivery of lessons. It begins by outlining some challenges of the hybrid model and assumptions about remote and in-person students. It then provides approaches for designing consistent lesson plans that ensure equity of experience for all students. Tips are provided for preparing the physical space and technology setup. The document gives advice for delivery, such as connecting with students and sharing the lesson plan. Potential experiences of students and lecturers in the hybrid model are also summarized based on research. Overall, the document aims to provide guidance and best practices for implementing high-quality hybrid instruction.
Are social media platforms the new Library? YouTube, Instagram and TikTok are increasingly being used as sources of teaching and learning content. Textbooks come with barely a paragraph of terms and conditions about their use. The social media platforms, however, are accompanied by seemingly never-ending terms of service, community guidelines and privacy policies. Do you read this information, does anyone at your college? Do you understand the terms "takedown", "cease and desist"? Have you/your college ever received a "Getty letter"?
This webinar will provide an introduction to the convoluted world of copyright and social media terms and conditions. Buckle up - it could be a bumpy ride!

For many managers, there is a real challenge both in managing remotely, and having confidence about the quality of remote or online delivery. Most managers have years of experience of managing campus based learning, and have had the benefit of peer and specialist support on site. However, few managers have the experience of teaching remotely, so supporting staff and recognising good delivery is a greater challenge. This session looks at adjustments to their management approach that may be helpful, and identifies some of the key characteristics of well delivered on line activity.

This document summarizes research on blended and digital learning. It finds that blended learning can be as effective as traditional learning, though some students may struggle more online. Research shows blended learning develops independence and skills beyond the classroom. However, teaching methods often rely more on lectures than interaction. Strong design, social connection, and teaching quality are keys to student success online. Sources offer further guidance on implementing blended models.
This session is aimed at managers with responsibility for the delivery and evaluation of online learning and teaching. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic colleges have been forced to make an abrupt shift to remote learning, often existing in makeshift offices. Join us as we examine the challenges that this new environment presents and the lessons learned thus far from approaches developed in other UK nations and further afield.
We will share our thoughts on what leaders have learned about how to manage their institution during this difficult time and how they are addressing the challenges now and anticipating those in the future. Colleagues will be invited to join the discussion, raise questions and contribute examples from their own experience.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.

Committed AOs are Pearson, C&G, OCR, NCFE and SQA. (SQA has
not committed to timescales, but we are working towards these dates.)
Engaged centre MI suppliers include Capita FHE, Tribal (EBS - SITS to

normal processing
OCR and AQA are not making any commitment at this point.
