There are some families that love to win and influence their children to be the very best they can
be. Little Miss Sunshine written by Michael Arndt is a warm heartfelt movie about a little girl
named Olive Hoover with the dream of competing in the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in
California. Olive is part of a very dysfunctional family which includes the supportive mother
Sherrill, the determined father Richard, quiet brother Dwayne, crazy grandfather Edwin, and the
suicidal uncle Frank. The family members all come together a to bring the young aspiring
daughter Olive to her dream pageant. The Hoover family does not live in the best conditions and
are forever going through a constant struggle, but they try to make the best of things. The family
all piles into an old Volkswagen van to drive from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Redondo Beach,
California. The drive is not stress free and the family encounters a few bumps along the way. They
eventually make it to the pageant and Olive comes to life on stage with her family s support. I

I am experimenting into the reaction rates of Sodium Thiosulphate and
Hydrochloric acid when under different concentrations.
Both Sodium Thiosulphate and Hydrochloric acid are clear solutions but when they react together
they produce a cloudy solution, the solution become so cloudy you cannot see through it. To
measure the rate of reaction I am going to print off a cross from the computer onto a piece of
paper, place it under the beaker with the solution in it and record the time taken for the cross not to
be visible.

psychoanalyst, Carl Gustav Jung. Jung s work brought forth several new concepts in psychology.
While alive, his work influenced colleagues and continued to influence the future of psychology

To many convicts in the United States the jail or prison is often times the first resort of
punishing. Legal teams do not research sentencing options; they like to sentence an offender to
the easiest place to do their time which is the jail. The jail has the amenities that an inmate seeks
or wants. They can get a shower, a warm meal, and some clothes free of charge and get released
the next day. If they go to prison, the inmate can get all those perks, and get released years later.
These inmates that come to prison for small crimes, are causing the prison populations to expand
person by person. The cells are not designed more than two people , and the shower can only one
body in it at a time and of course the toilet is only designed for buttock at time.

It was a dull Monday morning. I was sitting in religion class and looking out the window.
Suddenly, I heard my teacher say the words Midnight Run. Little did I know, this would forever
change my perspective on the way I saw the world. A Midnight Run is when many volunteers come
together and distribute goods for the homeless. We gather items such as toiletries, blankets, jackets,

The overall experience reminded me of a time when my cheer team and I were competing. My
team and I were feeling discouraged but my coach gave us some tips on the routines to improve.
We all worked together and valued her suggestions. That seemingly small gesture of hers came a

hired a new university president. President Seymour Rollins has a notable pedigree, but does not
have an affiliation with Hilltop or any other HBCU. President Hardaway, the previous president and
Hilltop alum, retired after overhauling the campus technology system, and setting a record for the
most recent fundraising campaign. President Hardaway was known for being aloof and
authoritarian with student and faculty, and received a vote of no confidence from the faculty senate.
During his tenure, President Rollins created an atmosphere that increased both the student and
faculty morale by opening communications lines between the faculty and administration, while also
building new facilities and research centers. With little information, I am assuming President
Rollins proposed a change in the governance structure of the board leading to the letter from the
vice chairperson noting her displeasure with President Rollins. President Rollins ignored the initial
