Introduction Christopher “Chris” Roberts, past president of Universal Music Group’s (UMG) Classics and Jazz division, is a composer who also works as president of New York City- based Robisong Consultants. In collaboration with Jeff Leonard, Christopher Roberts most recently released the 2013 Val Gardena album titled A Different Place, A Different Time. Universal Music made headlines when it announced its global music merchandising company Bravado was teaming up with the Lucky Brand denim company to help kick-off The Rolling Stones’ North American tour ZIP CODE as well as the reissuing of the band’s Sticky Fingers album.
- 3. Rolling Stones Merchandise The collaborative merchandising effort includes limited- edition tees and jackets, in-store merchandise, and a VIP Experience giveaway. In the UMG press release, Carlos Alberini, CEO of Lucky Brand was quoted as saying that the brand “was founded upon a love of music paired with an irreverent rock and roll attitude.” The partnership launched at the same time as the Rolling Stone’s ZIP CODE tour on May 24, 2015. Items from the collection, called The Lucky Brand x Rolling Stone, became available online at LuckyBrand.com and in the company’s stores on May 28.
