The band 'Disturb the Balance' chose Blink-182 as inspiration for their music and videos due to Blink-182's success and award-winning music videos, which portray themes of rebellion and social outcasts through skateboarding, alcohol, and random people that provide inspiration for Disturb the Balance's own video. Blink-182's dress style of ripped jeans and skate tees also influenced the look of Disturb the Balance, though with a more modern twist.

With many singles hitting the top 10, and their album Take Off Your Pants and Jacketreaching number 1 in the charts, the boys form one of the world’s most known Pop Punk band ever. We chose them as an inspiration and ‘template’ for our own band ‘Disturb the Balance’ due to their relative success, and also several awards for their music videos themselves. Our theme of ‘rebellion’ and ‘social outcasts’ is a recurring theme in most Pop Punk videos and songs- including many of Blink’s. Their portrayal of teenage hood provides most of the inspiration for our own video; including lots of skateboarding, alcohol and shots of random people.The band’s own dress style is also fundamental in the development of our bands look- though with a more modern twist- with the ripped jeans, and skate tees being very apparent in our own band.
