1. GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The General Assemblyis the main deliberative, policymaking and representative
organ of the United Nations. Comprising all 193 Member States of the UN, it provides
a unique forum for multilateral discussion of international issues including peace
and security. Here everyone has one vote.
2. SECURITY COUNCIL
The UnitedNations Security Council (UNSC) is one of the six principal organs of the United
Nations charged with ensuring international peace and security, recommending the
admission of new UN members to the General Assembly, and approving any changes to
the UN Charter. ( 15 MEMBER )
3. ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL
The UnitedNations Economic and Social Council is one of the six principal organs of
the United Nations, responsible for coordinating the economic and social fields of the
organization, specifically in regards to the 15 specialised agencies, the eight functional
commissions and the five regional commissions under its jurisdiction. IT HAS 54 MEMBERS.
4. SECRETARIAT
The Secretariat is the United Nations' executive arm. IT has an important role in setting the
agenda for the deliberative and decision-making bodies of the UN (the General Assembly,
Economic and Social Council, and Security Council), and the implementation of the decision
of these bodies.
. INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) sometimes known as the World Court. It settles disputes between states in
accordance with international law and gives advisory opinions on international legal issues. The ICJ is the
only international court that adjudicates general disputes between countries, with its rulings and opinions serving
as primary sources of international law. It has a panel of 15 judges elected by the General Assembly and Security
Council for nine-year terms. Abdulqawi Yusuf is the present CHIEFJUSTICE.
6. TRUSTEESHIP COUNCIL
The United Nations TrusteeshipCouncil ; It established to help or ensure that trust territories were administered in
the best interests of their inhabitants and of international peace and security. The trust territories most of them
former mandates of the League of Nations or territories taken from nations defeated at the end of World War II—
have all now attained self-government or independence, either as separate nations or by joining neighbouring
independent countries.

FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UnitedNations (FAO) is a specialized
agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger and
improve nutrition and food security. It was founded in October 1945. It has 194 member
countries.
EDUCATIONAL,SCIENTIFIC & CULTURAL ORGANIZATION
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) is a specialised agency of the United
Nations (UN) aimed at promoting world peace and security
through international cooperation in education, the sciences,
and culture. It has 193 member countries.
WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
The World HealthOrganization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for
international public health. The WHO Constitution, which establishes the agency's governing structure
and principles, states its main objective as "the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of
health. It has 194 member countries.
WORLD BANK GROUP
The WorldBank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to
the governments of low and middle income countries for the purpose of pursuing capital
projects. The World Bank is a component of the World Bank Group. It has 189 member
countries.
INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND
The International Monetary Fund(IMF) is an international organization, headquartered in Washington,
D.C., consisting of 190 countries working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability,
facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and
reduce poverty around the world.

CONFERENCE ON TRADE & DEVELOPMENT(UNCTAD)
The UnitedNations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) was established in 1964 as a
permanent intergovernmental body. UNCTAD is the part of the United Nations Secretariat dealing with
trade, investment, and development issues. The organization's goals are to: "maximize
the trade, investment and development opportunities for developing countries.
ENVIORMENT PROGRAMME(UNEP)
The UnitedNations Environment Programme (UNEP) is responsible for coordinating the UN's
environmental activities and assisting developing countries in having environmentally sound policies and
practices.UNEP was founded in 1972 by Canadian businessman Maurice Strong.UNEP aims is to help the
world meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Over the last thirty years, it has increasingly focused
on climate change.
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME(UNDP)
The United Nations DevelopmentProgramme (UNDP) is the United Nations' global development network. It promotes
technical and investment cooperation among nations and advocates for change and connects countries to knowledge,
experience and resources to help people build a better life for themselves. The UNDP provides expert advice, training
and grants support to developing countries, with increasing emphasis on assistance to the least developed countries.
CHILDREN’S FUND(UNICEF)
UNICEF is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children
worldwide. The agency is among the most widespread and recognizable social welfare organizations in the world, with a
presence in 192 countries and territories. UNICEF's activities include providing immunizations and disease prevention,
administering treatment for children and mothers with HIV, enhancing childhood and maternal nutrition, improving
sanitation, promoting education, and providing emergency relief in response to disasters.
POPULATION FUND(UNFPA)
The UnitedNations PopulationFund (UNFPA), formerly the United Nations Fund for Population
Activities, is a UN agency aimed at improving reproductive and maternal health worldwide. Its work
includes developing national healthcare strategies and protocols, increasing access to birth control, and
leading campaigns against child marriage, gender-based violence etc.
OFFICE OF THE HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR REFUGEES(UNHCR)
The UnitedNations HighCommissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a UN agency mandated to aid and
protect refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people, and to assist In their voluntary
repatriation, local integration or resettlement to a third country. It is headquartered
in Geneva, Switzerland, with over 17,300 staff working in 135 countries.
WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME(WEP)
The WorldFood Programme (WFP) is the food-assistance branch of the United Nations. It is the world's
largest humanitarian organization,the largest one focused on hunger and food security, and the largest provider of school
meals. Founded in 1961, it is headquartered in Rome and has offices in 80 countries. As of 2019, it served 97 million people in
88 countries, the largest since 2012, with two-thirds of its activities conducted in conflict zones.
World trade organization
The World Trade Organization (WTO) is an intergovernmental organization that is concerned with the
regulation of international trade between nations. It is the largest international economic organization in
the world. Its main focus is on reduction of tariffs and and other barriers to trade. It has 164 member
countries.

The International AtomicEnergyAgency (IAEA) is an international organization that seeks to promote the peaceful

Comprising all 193 Member States of the UN, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of international issues including peace and security. Here everyone has one vote.

SECURITY COUNCIL The UnitedNations Security Council (UNSC) is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations charged with ensuring international peace and security, recommending the admission of new UN members to the General Assembly, and approving any changes to the UN Charter. ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL The UnitedNations Economic and Social Council is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, responsible for coordinating the economic and social fields of the organization, specifically in regards to the 15 specialised agencies, the eight functional commissions and the five regional commissions under its jurisdiction. IT HAS 54 MEMBERS.
