The Dallas Harar Crisis Committee presented March 9, 2019 in Richardson, TX on the current state of affairs in Harar and what their recommendations would be for the Dallas Harari community to take action.

Jerusalem.
CENTER FOR TRADE & COMMERCE
Beginning in the 16th century, the capital of the
Harari Kingdom was a major center of regional
trade and Islamic learning.
HARMONY WITH OUR NEIGHBORS
Neighbored by various ethnic groups such as the
Oromo, Somali, Guragey, Argoba, and Amhara
people – Hararis lived in peace and harmony
amongst them.

Unity for a Cause
We MUST put our differences aside for a greater
cause, it is our responsibility to be a voice for those
who do not have one.
Nationwide Crisis Committee
Reach out to communities across the world, and ask
for representatives to join the Crisis Committee.
Kuba Town Hall Panel
Bring IHMS and other representatives to discuss this
issue during a July 4th town hall panel, with the goal
of deciding on a day to host a Unity March.
The Harari Crisis Committee has developed a preliminary action plan to begin outreach efforts to other Harari
communities as well as steps to bring awareness to our cause.

• Fundraising for those that are affected by the crisis in Harar –
Atlanta Amana Foundation (need to send this information to
everyone so they can have somewhere to provide donations)
• Need to setup a communication list and send out minutes
• Coordinate to form a North American Harari Council
