Unit 3.1 – Clarify, agree and revise working arrangements, promoting good working
relationships
Make sure you set benchmarks in the process to come together to discuss how everything is
going and organise timescales, whose involved and any changes made throughout the
process of the task, this ensures everyone is happy and the project is managed correctly and
that any time that can be saved is saved. This includes everyone involved in your set task
and holding discussions promotes good working relationships as any issues can be ironed
out easily and it provides support from your colleagues as well as providing support for your
colleagues.
Unit 3.2 – Communicate own decisions clearly and constructively
During discussions it would be beneficial for everyone to be able to put in their ideas
forward for the project/task to put across any opinions or concerns etc. Explaining these to
the rest of the group would be good as then everyone is clear on what they are doing and
understand each other’s roles. This could be done using visual aids, hand outs or via
presentation.
Unit 3.3 – Resolve any conflict situations or dissatisfaction as necessary
If there is a problem with a member of staff in the workplace then you deal with it by
bringing the problem to your manager. If there is a problem with a project or a task you’ve
been set then discuss with your team and come to the solution that everybody agrees on.
Unit 3.4 – Liaise with appropriate colleagues to ensure effective and productive working
By talking to all members of staff who you deal with regularly is the best way to ensure the
work process goes well. Doing this makes sure everyone is well informed and clearly
understands their own roles and other people’s roles who they are working with, then
everyone can work together quickly and efficiently to the best standard possible.
