Unit 30 LO4
Evidence of pitch
• When presenting my pitch I decided to use a camera in order to record me so
that I was, after the presentation, able to look back at the recording and establish
what I did well and what I did well on. One weakness that I discovered was that I
went through some of my slides to fast and therefore didn’t go into too much
detail. Because of this I wold then need to go a bit slower through the slides so
that I can explain more information to the audience so that they area bel to
understand my choices a lot easier and there read more into depth with what I
was saying.
Environment of presentation
• The environment where I conducted my pitch was in the room MS1 I
decided to use the white board that was available in order to display
my presentation which I had already made before the day of the
presentation The camera that was used was a Nikon and it was located
about half away in the room which seemed perfect when I was
presenting While presenting my pitch I had a clicker in my hand and
this allowed me to do the pitch without any distractions.
Survey monkey
• I decided to use survey monkey as my best course of action when
recording the data that I could later analyse my pitch with. The data
that I collected and analysed would later help contribute to my LO5.
The data that I collected were strengths and weaknesses that I could
use in order to improve my pitch fort he future. One of my
weaknesses was that the colours that I used were too dark making it
hard to read some of the content on the page. To overcome this
problem I decide to make the colours a lot brighter so that the
readers and the audience would then be ale to read the content
easily and understand it a lot better.
Conclusion
• In LO4 I have mentioned a lot about my setup that I used in order to
both record and display my pitch. It was important that I analyzed
why I did each part as it meant that I could more easily focus on
explaining my magazine idea rather than worry about what I could
have done wrong. To ensure that things stay smooth and safe for the
future I could use the set up idea and the recording of my pitch in
order to work out what I could do better for next time and what I
should stick with. Moreover, I also mentioned that I recorded my
feedback through the process of survey monkey which would display
my results in graphs and answers so that I am able to compare my
results.
Witness Statement
Starting with my witness statement it is clear that I did include most of the content that needed
to be added. However, one thing that I could have included was information on The theories
such as Katz, Hartley's and Maslow's towards the target audience. By doing this could have
more accurately explain who my magazine is targeted towards and how it relates to the genre.
Furthermore, it is also mentioned that I should done a clear sweep through all the slides to
ensure clear spelling and this would help the viewers to understand my pitch more clearly.
Corrections to front cover
When adapting sand making my
magazine front cover better I decided
to add more colour on the page
making the text more visible and
easier to see. I also added a drop
shadow and this helps with the front
cover as it makes the main image
stand out more prominently and
creates depth in the image.

  • 4. Survey monkey • I decided to use survey monkey as my best course of action when recording the data that I could later analyse my pitch with. The data that I collected and analysed would later help contribute to my LO5. The data that I collected were strengths and weaknesses that I could use in order to improve my pitch fort he future. One of my weaknesses was that the colours that I used were too dark making it hard to read some of the content on the page. To overcome this problem I decide to make the colours a lot brighter so that the readers and the audience would then be ale to read the content easily and understand it a lot better.
  • 5. Conclusion • In LO4 I have mentioned a lot about my setup that I used in order to both record and display my pitch. It was important that I analyzed why I did each part as it meant that I could more easily focus on explaining my magazine idea rather than worry about what I could have done wrong. To ensure that things stay smooth and safe for the future I could use the set up idea and the recording of my pitch in order to work out what I could do better for next time and what I should stick with. Moreover, I also mentioned that I recorded my feedback through the process of survey monkey which would display my results in graphs and answers so that I am able to compare my results.
  • 6. Witness Statement Starting with my witness statement it is clear that I did include most of the content that needed to be added. However, one thing that I could have included was information on The theories such as Katz, Hartley's and Maslow's towards the target audience. By doing this could have more accurately explain who my magazine is targeted towards and how it relates to the genre. Furthermore, it is also mentioned that I should done a clear sweep through all the slides to ensure clear spelling and this would help the viewers to understand my pitch more clearly.
  • 7. Corrections to front cover When adapting sand making my magazine front cover better I decided to add more colour on the page making the text more visible and easier to see. I also added a drop shadow and this helps with the front cover as it makes the main image stand out more prominently and creates depth in the image.
