In sexual reproduction, two individuals of different sexes participate.
The offspring are similar to their parents.
● Male humans are called men. They produce sperm which are the
male sex cells.
● Female humans are called women. They produce eggs, which are the
female cells.
THE MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
The male reproductive system has two functions: to produce sperm and
deposit the sperm inside the female reproductive system.
Parts:
- The testicles
- The penis
- The vas deferens
- The prostate
- The urethra
THE FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
The female reproductive system has two functions: to produce eggs and
to protect and nourish new life if fertilisation occurs.
Parts:
- The vagina
- The ovaries
- The Fallopian Tubes
- The uterus
- The vulva
PREGNANCY
Pregnancy is the approximately nine-month period from when the embryo
implants itself in the uterine wall until the birth of the baby.
