Laura created a proposal to take 7-10 photos in each of three categories: macro, landscape, and portrait. However, her photo taking did not follow the plan. She only took one landscape photo compared to 13 macro and 10 portrait photos. Laura believes she should have stuck closer to her original locations in the proposal to get more landscape images and make her exhibition stronger. Her editing process did not have a clear theme, though she leaned towards black and white photos using selection tools. While her pre-production went well, Laura acknowledges she could have spent more time taking photos, especially landscapes, for her final project.

Unit 21 Evaluation
For my final proposal I said that I will be doing 7-10 photos on each topic. The topics I did
were: Macro, Landscape and Portrait. I took more photos in Macro and Portrait then I did
for Landscape. I only ended up getting one final picture for landscape. This didn’t go to the
plan I made. I said in my final proposal where these pictures were going to be taken which
again did not go to plan. I don’t think it went to plan because when I was going around with
the camera I took pictures from where I was and I got enough that I didn’t have to go to
these places. I should have gone to different places that I said I would in my proposal this is
because then I would have been able to gather more landscape images, which would of
made my photography exhibition look better.
These are the story boards I created before I went out taking photos. I don’t think I went
according to my plan. Some of my pictures went to plan like the Macro and the Portrait. But
because I only took my photo for Landscape my landscape plans did not go to plan.

These are some of my edited photos; I didn’t really have a theme for how I was editing my
images. When I was editing my images I played around with all the different tools such as;
Black and white, Quick selection tools and the brightness and contrast of the image.
I think my pre-production went well for this task. I think it went well because I used to my
timing well and I had lots of different ideas for what pictures I was going to take. I think
photography is my strongest unit I have done which is why I chose to repeat it, I knew all of
the photography skills, how to take a good picture and how to edit and play around with the
images.
I didn’t really have a theme for when I was editing my images but I think I was going for a
black and white theme. The majority of my images were black and white and I used the
quick selection tool to bring out the original colour to the image. I used black and white for
the majority of my edited images because I liked how most of them looked.
I am pleased with the outcome of each of my images, I think I spent just the right time on
editing them and choosing how I would display them.

A disadvantage to this task is that I didn’t take all the pictures I wanted. I only took one
landscape image and I was supposed to come out with 7 and I took about 13 macro and 10
portraits. I think I could have spent more time taking pictures for my final project.
