My evaluation

Part one
How did I decided what area to do your
exhibition on?
When I was planning for my exhibition I was having a look at all different types of
photography including Fashion Photography, Nature Photography, Wildlife
photography, Black and White, Hi speed Photography, Wedding Photography, HDR
Photography, Travel, Time Lapse Photography, Motion Photography, Macro
photography, portrait photography. When I was looking through all of these
different types of photography a couple of different ones stood out to me. Theses
types of photograph were macro, hi speed, black and white, motion and portrait
however in the end I decided to do macro and portrait and in one of my portrait
photographs I incorporated black and white in to it.
Where did I get inspiration from?
When I was looking through all the different types of photography, macro and
portrait stood out to me for want I wanted to do. I looked at a couple of
photographs and the photographer called Annie Leibovitz stood out to me because
her portrait photographs were really good and that was my inspiration for my
portrait photography. My inspiration for my macro photography was a
photographer called Alan m who's macro photography is amazing and gave me my
inspiration to do macro.
What equipment did I use to create your
project
When I was doing my project I used a range of equimpment.
- Canon EOS 1100D 12.2MP Digital SLR with 18-55mm Kit lens
- Tripod
- 8gb sd card
- Adobe Photoshop cs5.1
- Black and white setting on the camera
Did I edit any of your photos?
When I was making my exhibition I used Photoshop to edit a couple of my photos
to either make them smaller to fit in the frames I got off the internet and I also put
effects to adjust the colours to make the images more crisp and better in my
opinion.
Part two
My strengths and weaknesses of my
photographs
When I was taking my photographs I thought that that it went well and I think that
my strengths were that I knew what I wanted to take photos of and how I wanted
to do them, as if I could see the photograph before I took it, I also so think one of
my strengths was on Photoshop when I edited the colour balance to make the
images I took stand out more and look crisp. However I think that my weaknesses
cam to show when I was editing my photographs when I wanted to put them in the
frames they weren't the right size so I had to crop them a bit what I thought ruined
the photo a bit.
Am I pleased with my images?
I think that my images came out really well and I am happy with how they look.
However I'm not as happy with the way they sit in the frames it looks rushed and I
think that if I was to do it again I would take a lot more time so the images can look
like they are exhibition worthy.
Has it turned out the way I planned?
I think that it has turned out the way I thought it was and I am very happy with the
out come about it and they way it looks. However I think that I could improve it
even more to the highest standard of work but other than that I am really happy
with the way my exhibition turned out.
How I improved as a photographer
When I was doing my exhibition I think that I improved as a photographer by they
way I look at images and how I think through before I take the photo because I
want it to turn out really well. Now after I have done this project I think that I have
a better sense of what would make a good photo and how to edit it to get the most
out of it.
What would I change or do differently if I did
this project again?
If I was to do this project again I think that I would take more time to edit the
photographs being where I put them into their frames and I would also wright
more about why I took the image to tell people what going through my mind and I
maybe would of done different topics such as Hi speed Photography and Time
Lapse Photography just so I can experiment with different things I haven't done
before.
