Analysis
From looking at the responses I got from my survey, I am able to adjust my edit in a way that it will
suit my audience, showing them what they would like to see and making sure that everything
makes sense.
The results have showed me that the majority of people thought the film made sense, had
effective camera work and lighting, and decent audio aswell; however, there were a lot of votes
against the audio being clear, therefore this is something I must work on fixing in my edit.
I learned that the lighting was too bright in the film, and in doing this washed out the tone of the
actresses skin aswell, making her look quite pale, this is something I will fix through using a colour
grade on top of the film and possibly using luts.
The camera work also could have been changed, I should have used a wider range of shots and
angles, and even the headspace in some of the shots was slightly off.
I learned that the flow of the story in the film was okay and easy to follow for the audience, this
will improve within the final edit with the help of additional audio and effects. The audio turned
out to be one of the biggest issues with the rough cut, however this was expected, due to there
being a lot of sound that I planned to add in afterwards anyway.
Overall, it got quite a high rating from my audience with an average of 75.
