Admission requirements
For undergraduate courses, students should be educated to a standard comparable to
British GCE 'A' Level standard, such as the Malaysian STPM, Hong Kong Advanced
Level Certificate, Botswana Bachelor Degree (Part 1) or Pakistan BA/BSc/BCom
(Honours) - second division or above. Some qualifications may enable you to enter a
later stage the course, for example directly into Year 2.
For postgraduate courses you should hold a qualification which is comparable to a
British Bachelor's degree. Some postgraduate courses also require you to be above a
specific age or have relevant work experience.

to enable working students to attend.
MA Research Methods (Education)
1 year full-time. New course providing research training for those with an interest in
educational research.
Taught Doctorof Education (EdD)
3 years full-time or 4-6 years part-time with research and taught elements. The EdD is
taught in Singapore, Hong Kong and in the UK either through evening and weekend
lectures or at summer schools.

M.Phil.: Relevant degree or equivalent and career experience, not necessarily in
education.
Masters (Psychology)
M.Ed.: As above plus must have undertaken study in psychology equivalent to the
Level 1 Class in Psychology.
M.Phil.: Normally a good honours degree or equivalent and some relevant experience
in psychology, e.g. equivalent to 1st level undergraduate psychology.
Masters (Art, Design..) M.Phil. in Art, Design and Architecture in Education
A good honours degree or equivalent in any field related to art, design, architecture in
education may apply. There is no requirement for the student to have a teaching
qualification.
Diploma/Certificate Educational Management & Leadership
