Different Kinds of Terrorism
Different Types of Terrorism: 3 You have probably heard and may have used the word terrorism.
When we did, it had an image in our mind. When other people used the word (terrorism) they had
their own images or meanings for this term. As a result, terrorism means different things to different
people. The nature of terrorismhas changed over the course of history. Violent activity called
terrorism at one point in time was called war. Liberation or crime in another period of history.
The media has come to play an important part in some forms of terrorism. Religion has come to

In this context, agro terrorism is defined as the deliberate introduction of an animal or plant disease
with the goal of generating fear, causing economic losses and or undermining stability. (University

general issues of terrorism and bioterrorism. People more generally associate bioterrorism with
outbreaks of human illness (such as from anthrax or small pox) rather than disease first affecting
animals or plants. Agriculture has several characteristics that pose unique problems for managing
the threat. (USDA bio security site) 1). Agricultural production is geographically disbursed in
unsecured environments. (ex. Open fields, and pastures throughout the countryside). While some
Different Types of Terrorism: 6 livestock are housed in secure facilities, agriculture in general
requires large expanses of land that are difficult to secure from intruders. 2). Livestock are
frequently concentrated in confined locations (ex. Feedlots with thousands of cattle in open air
pens, farms with tens of thousands of pigs or barns with hundreds of thousands of poultry).
Concentration in slaughter, processing and distribution also makes large scale contamination more
likely. 3). Live animals, grain and processed

An independent quality assurance team defines test cases to evaluate whether the product fully or
partially satisfies the requirements outlined in the first step. Three types of testing typically take
place: unit testing of individual code modules; system testing of the integrated product; and
acceptance testing, formally conducted by or on behalf of the customer. Defects, if found, are
logged and feedback provided to the implementation team to enable correction. This is also the
stage at which product documentation, such as a user manual, is prepared, reviewed and published.
5.Maintenance
This step occurs after installation, and involves making modifications to the system or an individual
component to alter attributes or improve performance. These modifications arise either due to
change requests initiated by the customer, or defects uncovered during live use of the system.
Actually, every change made to the product during the maintenance cycle is recorded and a new

My Reflection Of My Writing And Communication
Writing is essential to communicating on many levels, and it can display your level of
understanding or lack of understanding communicating. Whether is Facebook, Twitter, an email
to your co works, or a professional document you will be judged by your writing style based on if it
s good or bad. If your writingstyle full of miss spelled words, bad grammar, and horrible flow you
will fail to get your point across clearly and people will think you are uneducated. This class is
step one on my journey improving my writing and learning as much as possible about the
English language. Just like anything else you have to start with the basics and I feel like I
accomplished that over this last eight weeks. The first bad habit this class help me correct was
mixing up future, past tense, and current situations in one paragraph. My papers didn t have
good flow because I didn t maintain parallelism, I was just all over the place. Some of my papers
read like a bad scary movie, just jumping all over the place. That can confuse the reader because
the document become hard to follow. Parallelism add smooth flow to your paper, it can keep the
reader eyes on your document. Additionally this method helps the writer maintain consistency, and
a balanced flow of ideas. Parallelism is most important when you are trying to persuade your
audience. Run on and fragments are something most of us struggle with. Social media is full of
run on and fragments and it drive my wife crazy. I

What Defines Us as Americans??? Over the years there have been many events that have taken
place. These events not only affected the people and the world of the present at that time, but also
the future and even the way things are today. Knowing this we must ask ourselves what defines us

the Constitution, Westward Expansion, and the Civil War and Reconstruction. What do you think

American Education Reform
Throughout history, United States of America has been one of the most vigorous economies in the
world. With the most advanced military and serves as a beacon of hope and peace. It is obvious
that one would expect United States of America to be at the top of the lists when it comes to
education but unfortunately, that is not true. Day by day, our economy is becoming more and more
depended on technical notions which leaves us behind in math and science in the world. Our
government spends about 10,000 dollars every year on each student in the public educationsystem
(Lessons in Education). The solution to our failing schoolsystem is not to spend more money, but to
spend the money wisely. Not surprisingly, students with high performing teachers develop three
times better than students with poor performing teachers. Many agree... Show more content on

American Students lies in the hands of teachers. Since, this is such a great responsibility, we have
to make sure that we are employing the right teacher for not only the students growth but also our
nation s growth. Hard working teachers should be appreciated and celebrated and neglectful
teachers should be fired. Unfortunately, the firing of teachers is not possible. In most states, there
is no legitimate evaluation process to be met for the teaching position and after a few years, the

Progressivism Was Motivated By Various Progressive Ideas...
Progressivism was the change development that kept running from the late 19th century through the
main many years of the 20th century, which driving educated people and social reformers in the
United States looked to address the monetary, political, and social inquiries that had emerged with
regards to the quick changes carried with the Industrial Revolution and the development of current
private enterprise in America. The Progressives trusted that these progressions denoted the end of
the old request and required the formation of another request suitable for the new mechanical age.
Expansionism was motivated by various progressive ideas. Imperialism was an adjournment of the
movement to direct and normalize society, economics, and government.
Order, Regulation, and World Economy
The United States dominated the world market in producing items by 1900. They produced
petroleum and agricultural machinery to sewing machines and cameras. Foreign investments
tremendously increased from $700 million in 1897 to 2.5 billion in 1908; and again to $ 3.5
billion my 1914. Businesses in the U.S. eventually controlled about 78 percent of all the mines in
Mexico (silver, lead, and copper) by 1917 and about 58 percent of oil production. The U.S
investment nearly approached $1 billion toward just Mexico alone. Due to the laissez faire policies

This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of enzymes on its substrate when the
quantity of the substrate and the concentration of the enzyme is altered. More specifically it was
looking at how the fat content in the milk is broken down by lipase. At the start of the
experiment it was hypothesised that if 4% lipase solution was added to a mixture of sodium
carbonate and bile salts then full cream milk will have a faster rate of digestion if all variables are
kept constant.

Service autonomy is the term used to describe a service which is sel sufficient in terms of
managing all the necessary logic, resources and environment and which is independent of external
devices.
пѓ Business Driven Infrastructure on demand
Using service orientation for the infrastructure provides a way to define dependencies of higher
level business services on the lower level infrastructure services, dow to the actual physical
resources, such as network appliances, storage, and servers.
пѓ Service Management
Service orientation defines service level objectives as well as the measurement of the delivery of
those objectives.
CONCLUSION: Service Oriented Architectures are rapidly being accepted by the IT world as a
sound, modularized approach for building and deploying services across the extended enterprise.
Practical extension of these architectures requires careful planning. The SOA is mainly
implemented with web services. In this paper I have tried to explain the so many things about
service oriented architecture I and I think this paper will help to other for further study in the
service oriented architecture.

The Meaning Of Life In Siddhartha
iddhartha LAP
Topic #8
Abid Ahmad
Everything we do in the world is absolutely pointless. We as humans are irrelevant specks in the
vast universe that go about our repetitive lives for no apparent reason. At the end of the day, it
makes no difference how much good or bad we do in the world. This is the ignorant view of the
world that fails to see the perfect harmony in which we all live our lives. The redundant cycles
that we try so hard to get away from are part of our overarching connectedness as humans. As
parts of a whole, all of us have a role to play in making our lives better for ourselves and others.
Our role is the very meaning of life, and we should embrace it wholeheartedly. The novel Siddhartha
by Hermann Hesse stresses this cyclical unification through various circular constructions
throughout Siddhartha s life. Siddhartha had to deal with many individual stages of his life that
seemed pointless. These cycles almost drove him to the point of suicide, but he was saved by the
river which acted as a symbol for his entire life, as a united whole. This was the gateway to his
attainment of enlightenment, allowing him to feel closer to everyone around him. Siddhartha
began as an affluent Brahmin s son, coveted by all close to him. His family and friends greatly
admired the level of intuition and intellect that Siddhartha had possessed. Govinda, his best friend,
constantly adored him and followed in his footsteps. In this life, Siddhartha began the

Depression is a mental health disorder that can be characterized by loss of interest of once
enjoyable activities, and a persistent mood of depression (MacGill, 2017). As previously stated
earlier in this paper, hundreds of millions suffer from this debilitating mental disorder on a global
scale and is extremely prevalent in today s society. According to MacGill, those individuals
suffering from depression often times have symptoms consisting of feelings of loneliness,
worthlessness, apathy, or depressed moods and tend to have a difficult time doing things or getting
out of bed (2017). Other symptoms that arrive with depression can also include irritability, anxiety,
isolation, lethargic tendencies, suicidal thoughts, appetite loss, and weight gain or loss. There are
numerous causes of depression, according to MacGill, ranging from genetics, environmental
factors, traumatic events, psychological and psychosocial problems, drugs and drug abuse, having
had a major depressive disorder, or a change in neurotransmitter levels (2017). Serotonin, a

Near Death Experience Research Paper
Near death experiences are far from being serene and will cause your heart to race. For example,
you know that feeling you get when the roller coaster begins to go downward and it feels like

change in perspective, time slows down, and adrenaline rush. When it comes to a change in

Now, that may be an exaggeration, but it does feel like it is longer than what it truly is. Most

Polycystic Kidney Disease Analysis
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a disorder in which clusters of cysts develop primarily within
your kidneys. Cysts are noncancerous round sacs that vary in size containing water like fluid
(Igarashi, 2002). This can be associated with a number of conditions, including: High blood
pressure, Urinary and kidneyinfections, Kidney stones, and Kidney failure (AudrГ©zet, 2012).
Furthermore, Kidney failure resulting from PKD is caused by a combination of Pressure from
expanding cysts, compressing normal kidney tissue or scarring in the normal support tissue in the

Mutation PKD1 is located on chromosome 16 specifically 16p13.3 and mutation PKD2 is
located on chromosome 4 in the vicinity of 4q21 23 (Grantham, 2008). In addition, the PKD1 is
very large compared to PKD2, it encodes for a 14.1 kb mRNA transcript that is translated into a
protein composed of 4302 amino acids (Igarashi, 2002), whereas PKD2 encodes a 5.3 kb mRNA
transcript that is translated into a 968 amino acid protein (Igarashi, 2002). ADPKD follows a
dominant inheritance. This means that if either the mother or father has ADPKD, the offspring
will have a 50% chance of inheriting ADPKD (Grantham, 2008). If the gene for ADPKD is not
passed on, the offspring will neither inherit the disease, nor be able to pass on the disease to
future offspring (Grantham, 2008). Ways to develop ARPKD require each parent to be a carrier
of at least one defective copy of the disease gene; in this case, there is a 25% chance of having the
disease. If only one parent carries the defective gene, the offspring will not inherit the disease
(Igarashi, 2002). In Mary s case, the pedigree resembles an Autosomal Dominant PKD pattern, due
to the high frequency of complications

The Causes And Consequences Of The Great Depression
At the beginning of the 19th century many important events of the world history had occurred.
Starting with the World War I, known as the Great War, and ending with the most devastating
World War II. When the World War I was over people were hoping for the better future to come.
But the opposite was truth and the world was about to get another blow. The period before the
World War II was affected by severe global economic crises. This time is known as the Great
Depression. The origins of the Great Depression were in the United States and had several causes.
The major one was the crash on the stock market in 1929. The other causes include bank failures or
the drought conditions over the land. This worldwide event effected not only the United States, it
had devastating effect on the poor countries and on the rich ones as well. One of the countries that
was hit the hardest was Canada. The main reason was CanadaВґs high dependency on its natural
resources and farm exports, which were now rapidly slowed down. Furthermore the time of
drought joined this problem and the Canadians were experiencing social and economic shock. The
unemployment started to increase as the industry felt down, the government had to make steps for
recovery of their previously prosperous economy. The consequences of the Great Depression were
economic, political and social as well.

Comparing Martin Luther And King Henry VIII
The two individuals who changed Global history were both Martin Luther and Henry VIII, during
their time in history. Martin Luther was a monk of the Roman Catholic Church and a religious
leader in his spiritual works, such as the 95 Theses, availability of the translated Bible and, made
some of the Catholic Churchfollowers think for themselves. Also, Martin Lutherwent as far as
challenging the Pope of the Catholic Church to his supreme authority. [The pope cannot remit any
guilt, except by declaring and showing that it has been remitted by God; or, to be sure, by remitting
guilt in cases reserved to his judgment. If his right to grant remission in these cases were
disregarded, the guilt would certainly remain unforgiven] Despising the Pope s disapproval, Martin
Luther went on to telling and preaching his true message. Martin Luther didn t accept the Catholic

Catherine had several of King Henry VIII children. He wanted to marry a woman by the name of

refused to annul the marriage based on the Roman Catholic believes on annulment (divorce). So by
law, King Henry made the religion, named Church of England, which he made himself head of the
religion. King Henry VIII only made this new religion to get away from the strict rules of the
Catholic Church, for his own liking. In his new religion he could divorce Catherine and remarry
Anne without the Pope s authority or permission, going against the Catholic religion.
He made a rule that anyone who denies his authority will be dying. Everyone followed King

Digital And Print Media s Effect On The Self Respect Of...
Electronic and print media have brought about sweeping changes in human life and have had far
reaching implications for all walks of life. Originating in the early 15th century, the printing press
of the newspaper made the first appearance in Germany in the late 1400 s in the mode of news
pamphlets or broadsides (Barber, P. 2014) [1]; and now people are easily capable of getting
information through various digital devices such as sophisticated televisions and smart phones.
Mass communication, however, is likely to have adverse effects on the way people, especially
children and adolescents, perceive knowledge. Although mass mediacurrently provides adults and
teenagers with essential opportunities to receive insight into a wide range of fields, it also raises
knotty problems pertaining to their self esteem, behaviour and actions.
On one hand, mass communication has a detrimental influence on the self respect of the older
generation (over 65 years old). In fact, when advertisers strive for promoting their products, they
do not include images of the elderly because they are often associated with ineffectiveness,
unattractiveness, immobilisation and unhappiness. There are few senior citizens presented on
television and almost all are male: only one in ten characters judged to be 65 or older is a woman
(Delloff, M.L. 1987) [2]. Furthermore, Dail (1988) states that elderly populations suffer from
negative stereotyping more than any other identifiable social group (Tupper. M)

How Does Housing Affordability
2.1 Theoretical Literature concept of Housing Affordability
Yates, 2006, notes that other expenditure outcomes can also be reduse by housing affordability.
Housing consume a high proportion of household expenditure, the trade offs households are
required to make in order to meet their housing needs may mean they have inadequate resources to
meet their non housing needs (Yates, 2006).Specifically, the low income families devoting a large
share of their income to housing, often make sacrifices to meet their housing costs, such as going
without food, or children missing out on

Putting these three life modes into a house/home, or affordable housing perspective, one could
relate them as follows:
The first mode is self employed where means of production are owned and included within the
house. Therefore, the house serving as both living and working place, and no separation between
working time and space time.
The second mode is wage earner, where the house is either regarded as a primary place serving
for recreational purpose, or as a place where important spare time activities are undertaken. The
third mode is career oriented, where ideally the house reflect the personal progress in order to
reflect position, social status, and past and recent experiences.
Affordable housing and housing affordability have become the dominant and debated issues in
the housing policy arena all over the world for the last two decades and the term housing needs
has been replaced by housing affordability and has occupied the center of the debate on the
provision of adequate housing for all (Quigley, 2004; Swartz and Miller, 2002; Whitehead, 1991).

EXPERIMENT 1: REACTIONS OF ENOLATE IONS WITH CARBONYL GROUPS
Aims
In this experiment we used two techniques for the reactions of enolate ions with carbonyl groups.
One technique used was Doebner reaction and the other technique used was Claisen Schmidt

Air Pollution In The Environment
A major public health challenge facing the people of Honduras is the issue of household air
pollution (HAP). HAP is a dangerous form of environmental health hazard, so much so that the
World Health Organization (WHO) has called it the most important global environmental health
risk today . HAP is air pollutionthat is produced inside the home due to cooking, lightening, and
heating needs and is typically the result of burning biomass fuels such as wood or coal, which
produces products of incomplete combustion such as carbon monoxide and particulate matter
(PM). Behaviors such as smoking indoors also contribute to poor indoor air quality. The
worldwide impact of HAP is massive, with the WHO estimating that a total of 4.3 million deaths
were linked to HAP in 2012. Honduras is part of this global burden of disease, as over half of
Honduras s population cooks with biomass, placing thousands at risk. The overall trend in health
ailments in Honduras is one of epidemiological transition. Essentially, Honduras is currently
seeing a rise in noncommunicable diseases (NCD) while the burden of infectious disease
persists. HAP is contributing to this rise in NCD. People in Honduras between 30 and 70 years
old have a 16% chance of dying from the four main NCDS, which include cancer, diabetes,
cardiovascular diseases, and chronic respiratory diseases. HAP has been found to contribute to all
of these areas of NCD, excluding diabetes. In Honduras, cardiovascular disease and

What I Want About Washing Clothes
We all do it; it just depends on how and where. I m talking about washing clothes. You do it
yourself at home, go to a Laundromat or have them professional cleaned. One way or the other it
has to be done because we like to look and smell good. I wash my clothes at home on a weekly
basis. I do this so that I can take my time and pace myself because, washing clothes is very time
consuming. The tricky part of it is that your way may not be my way, but since this is my story,
it s my way, so here we go. WE start first with the products. We have to make sure we have all the
products we need. We need dirty clothes of course, detergent, fabric softener, bleach, dryer
sheets, spray wash, a basket, water and of course a good washing machine. These are the main
products that are used in washing, but like I said this is my way, so we are going to element
some of things. I have eczema which means my skin is very sensitive, so we will element the
fabric softener. Once, we get all of our products we are ready to start the process. The first thing
is gathering all of the dirty clothes. Most dirty clothes will be found in the hamper, but like I
said, my story. We will find clothes on the floor, under the bed, bottom of the closet, draped over
a chair, or just about anywhere, but very few in the hamper. Take all the clothes and dump them
in one big pile. Next we will separate by color. We will have light, dark and white color piles. Just

The Representation Of Refugees Through A Political And...
Refugees are a prominent group of people in today s society. A refugee is someone who is
outside his or her country of origin and is at risk of being persecuted if he or she returns . The
Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees establishes the basic human rights to which refugees
are entitled wherever they are (Dauvergne, 2012, p. 1445). Refugees are talked about and handled
in certain ways within different discourses. Foucault s defines discourseas the rules and practices
that produce meaningful statements about a topic at a particular historical moment. He argues
that it constricts the topic . (Hall, 1997, p.44). This essay will analyse the representation of
refugees through a political and media discourse. A political discourse on refugees is explored in
Rocco Fazzari and Denis Carnahan s video Stop the Boats (with cash) Tony . The video highlights
the political language for talking about refugees and the ways in which they are viewed by the
Australian government. In comparison the media discourse will be examined through Nilufer
Demir s (2015) photograph of a drowned Syrian child refugee. The image stresses the pivotal role
the media plays in constructing and circulating meanings (Hightower, 2014, p.336). By analysing
refugees through these two texts, an understanding of the different representation and meanings
produced by separate discourses on the same topic can be developed.
A political discourse allows the government s policies on refugees and the

Endocrine System
What does the Endocrine System do for my body? Among the Endocrine system is seven glands
that secretes a specific hormone throughout the body for its regularity. WIth that being said the
hypothalamus, in the brain, is in charge of theses secretions through the pituitary gland or
hypophysis. The pituitary gland consists of the anterior portion and the posterior portion. Both of
these portions have different functions and secretions of hormones. In the posterior part of the
pituitary, the hormones secreted are oxytocin and the antidiuretic hormone. Oxytocin is responsible
for the contractions during delivery of a newborn and also produces the breast milk needed for the
newborn. The anterior portion, on the other hand, has quite a few different hormones that are
secreted to the body such as, the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), Adrenocorticotropic hormone
(ACTH), follicle stimulating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then there is the Pineal gland, or the sleepy gland. It produces melatonin which helps in sleep
cycles. The thyroid gland releases 3 different hormones that are beneficial to the body. These
hormones are calcitonin, triiodothyronine, and thyroxine. Triiodothyronine and thyroxine cooperate
in regulating the body s metabolic rate. Whereas, Calcitonin works to absorb calcium in the blood
and sends it to the bone matrix. The parathyroid gland is actually located at each corner of the
thyroid gland. This gland produces the parathyroid hormone and it regulates the calcium levels in
the blood and in the bones. Now, the adrenal glands consist of two separate parts that sit on top of
the kidneys, the medulla and cortex. The medulla portion produces the hormones, epinephrine and
norepinephrine. These hormones are how the body reacts in a stressful situation. The cortex is the
secondary part of the adrenal glands and its function mainly regulates blood pressure and blood
sugar levels by breaking down the proteins to produce glucose.

The Postcolonial Writers May Not Achieve International...
Abstract : The postcolonial writers may not achieve international success unless they address
certain themes, or more established figures discover them, should be considered as well.
Mahasweta provides a fruitful example: Mahasweta is an intensive and a social alert writer who
showcases the rural realities as well as a broad narrative of the importance of the unprivileged or the
people living on the extreme. While Mahasweta originally written in her native Bengali language,
most of her works are translated into English and regional Indian languages. The credit for
translating her works into English for the first time goes to Gayatri Spivak, who had translated
Mahasweta s Draupadi in 1981 and Breast Giver (Stanadayini) in 1987. Since then many of her
stories have been translated into English by other scholarly translators, and until now about a dozen
translators have translated Mahasweta s stories into English, among whom the foremost are Spivak
and Bandyopadhyay. Mahasweta claims on translators capturing the spirit of her work, which to her
is more important than technical or even artistic perfection and she readily authorizes those
translations of her fiction that have been faithful to the spirit of her fiction. A very important aspect
of Mahasweta s text is spontaneity and capturing of sudden surge of thoughts which runs in the
mind of the characters. For instance, Spivak has translated the text Draupati thereby compromising

The Problem Of Providing Coverage Using A Group Of Mobile...
The problem of providing coverage using a group of mobile agents is investigated, where it is
desired to minimize the overall coverage metric (service cost) while achieving maximum
coverage with minimum actuator energy required by each agent. In addition, a distributed multi
agent area coverage control (MAACC) law is then provided which guarantees the convergence
of agents to the optimal configuration with respect to the cost (coverage metric) function. A
common assumption in all of the coverage control results is that the distribution of sensory
information in the environment is known apriori by all agents. The proposed cooperative area
coverage control framework is based on two interdependent tasks: (i) online learning of the
coverage area and storing of the data in the form of a probability map ; and (ii) utilization of the
probability map (which is used as a search map) and other data collected to compute online a
positional error trajectory (e(t)) for the agents to follow at specified sampling time steps. The group
of agents is considered as being a group of autonomous agents which exchange data but ultimately
make their own decisions based on the received data collected during an area coverage mission. In
addition to the probability map, each agent in a multi agent system transmits its position
information to its neighbours and receives the same information from them. The agents possess the
probability maps (made possible via time varying density function) of targets

policies affirms that China has good intentions regarding the South China Sea. China is required to
have an assertive behaviour to bring regional stability and solve the territorial disputes on the South
China Sea. The opposing argument on assertive foreign policies displays concerns with the
aggressive and provocative behaviour of China (Chen, Pu ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The maritime claims and sovereign claims of China in the South China Sea through the nine dash
line must comply with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (Rapp Hooper, 2016, 78).
China had historic rights to the South China Sea through the nine dash line until it ratified the
UNCLOS in 1996 (Rapp Hooper, 2016, 78). China is bound to follow the international law to
defend its sovereign rights despite the tribunal in the Hague ruling in favour of the Philippines
(Rapp Hooper, 2016, 81).
The ruling of the tribunal in The Hague was hard on China (Rapp Hooper, 2016, 78). The ruling
has placed limitations to the maritime claims of China in the South China Sea (Rapp Hooper,
2016, 80). The maritime claims of China to water and airspace was declared invalid under
international law (Rapp Hooper, 2016, 76). China cannot legally continue to declare military
zones in the water or airspace around the reefs it occupies, nor can it do so more than 12 nautical
miles from the rocks it controls (Rapp Hooper, 2016, 80). The invalidated the maritime claims of
China to the waterways in the South China Sea through the nine dash line (Rapp Hopper, 2016, 77
78). China had sought to get entitlement to the South China Sea through Itu Aba (Rapp Hooper,
2016, 79). The tribunal declared that Itu Aba was not an island like the Spratly Islands and China
could not legally claim the entire South China Sea

There are different forms of civic engagement. Many people can be a part of this and help out the
government for example we can help with the following: community problem solving, fund raising
for charity, running for political office, and many more. Community problem solving is when

Interrogating Culture And Psychology
Interrogating Culture and Biology in the Understanding the theory of Person
Overview
Within the purview of the understanding of the theory of the person, relativism holds sway.
Several things are at play in forming an individual s response to external stimuli. An individual s
understanding of his culture often informs these responses. Whereas individual s understanding of
culture(s) is limited, that is the point where relativism comes in. where a knowledge stops is
where another start, hence opinions vary in relation to the individual experience of a subject
matter. The dynamics of a culture is dependent on its environment. These variables also have deep
rooted relations with biology (Sapolsky 2017: 3). Sapolsky infers that there is a ... Show more

the generalization made there cannot be overemphasized. An inherent inhibition would be a
product of an individual or group s experience. If not, how would we explain the making of a
serial killer? What informed Hitler s decision to annihilate the Jews?
This paper interrogates the various contradictions in Nordstrom s opinion, about the various levels
of violence and their interpretations. Culture influences interpretations of events and they are
relative to context and individuals or groups. It also interrogates Berkowitz (1978:707) tentative
summation of pain as being the source of aggression in man. I attempt to test their ideas using
Sapolsky s research in neuroscience and Eagleton s literary theory. Nordstrom questions the idea
that projects the intrinsic nature of aggression in man against the backdrop of theories in
psychoanalysis theories eschewed by Eagleton and Sapolsky. Also, it appreciates the philosophical
musing of Nordstrom while she offers a case of what ought to.... as against what is in war and
violence narratives.
The Irony in Nordstrom s reality
Nordstrom s description of war as cultural reality (Nordstrom 1998: 148) elucidates the thoughts of
this paper and reiterate the idea of cultural relativism. Hence, it casts a shadow on the notion of
political aggression or otherwise. Aggression at this point would be relative to an

Organic And Non Organic Foods
When you or your parents visit the grocery store, which food products do you consider
purchasing? It is difficult not to notice the current trend of organic foods on the shelves at the
supermarket. 1 The word organic refers to the way farmers grow and process agricultural
products (Mayo Clinic Staff, par. 3). Whether or not to purchase organic foods has been a subject
of debate in recent years. Since in today s society people are always in search for the healthiest
foods available to nurture their bodies. Although few people can tell the difference between organic
and non organic foods, there are various benefits and differences in terms of the nutritional value,
physical appearance, cost, and farming practices.
When deciding whether or not to buy organic items, one factor to consider is their nutritional
value. The general belief is that organic foods are healthier for you than non organic foods. 2
According to the Professor Carlo Leifert at Newcastle University, Organic food has more of the
antioxidant compounds linked to better health than regular food, and lower levels of toxic metals
and pesticides (Carrington and Arnett, par. 3). 3 Organic produce typically carries fewer pesticide
residues than non organic produce (Mayo Clinic Staff, par. 15). Non organic crops also have higher
levels of cadmium and a toxic metals (Carrington and Arnett, par. 4). The animals used in the
production of organic foods continuously graze on grass, which increases the amounts of conjugated

Samuel Johnson Vocabularies
Samuel Johnson who is also known as Dr.Johnson was one of the best known English experts who
ever lived, Johnson was not only an English expert, but also a writer, biographer, and
lexicographer. He was well known especially in the 18th century for his English dictionary.
Samuel s dictionary was and will always be one of the most known dictionaries in the entire history.
The making of his dictionary took a little more than eight years to accumulate, it contained around
40,00 words and each and every word in his dictionary was characterized in detail in addition to that
it also showed with citations covering each branch of learning ,therefore, there are more than
114,000 citations in the dictionary. Johnson was the main English etymologist... Show more content

One of the best things about Samuel Johnson is that he had a goal to invent a dictionary of his
own and he successfully achieved his goals and now his dictionary is one of the most well know
dictionary around the world. Therefore, that s why the lexicographical people fought with
grammarians because the grammarians only depended on summing the rules so they added some
resources to it. I, personally, agree with many others that the dictionary is way better than the

The Essentials Of The Requirements For Secured Transactions
I wanted to reach out the team today and go over the requirements for Secured Transactions and
to be sure that all team members of the business are aware of what it is and how to create one.
Secure Transactions will help to ensure that we as a business will be able to recover our interest if
any client defaults on a credit obligation to the business. While the Secured Transactions help both
parties, we should be very cautious in entering any agreements that are not secured or have not been
fully perfected and understand the risk associated. There are 6 key terms that the business should be
familiar with when entering into secured agreements with consumers (business and personal
consumers). They are Secured Transactions, Debtor,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To create the Security Transaction, the creditor will need to 1) create a written authenticated
security agreement that clearly describes the collateral subject to the security interest 2) The secured
party must give the debtor something of value and 3) The debtor must have rights in the collateral.
These three things should be clearly defined in the Security Agreement so that both parties
understand the condition of the transaction. If more than one creditor has a security interest in the
same collateral, both companies may not recover the debt from the debtors in cases of bankruptcy
where a third party may have their debts satisfied from the same collateral. One way to avoid this
is to perfect the agreement which is the legal process that secured parties protect themselves against
third party claims to have their debts satisfied from the same collateral. One of the most common
ways to perfect a secured transaction is perfection by filling. This is when a debtor files a financing
statement with the appropriate government office. By filing with the government office, this will
be satisfactory in notifying the public of the Security Interest in the collateral. Another form of
perfection is perfection by possession where a debtor transfers the collateral to the creditors
possession. When the debt is paid off, the collateral is then returned to the debtor. Another common
perfection method is by

The Famous Greek Philosopher And The Best Greek Philosophers
Socrates was known as one of the best Greek philosophers born in Athens in 469 BC. He wasn t
one to keep his legacy alive by physically writing it down. Socrates was a verbal philosopher who
taught orally. He always had questions beyond questions for anyone and everyone who he
crossed paths with. He was a curious person and his curiosity is what lead him to become the
great philosopher he is known by today. He would talk to anyone who was willing to listen, no
matter the gender, wealth, or age of the person. Socrateswas known for not accepting money for
his teachings. He lived a fairly poor life but he was known for his character and the way he
presented himself. He taught himself before he taught others without even realizing it. Self
development was the main aspect he used to tell his fellow believers, rather than focusing on
becoming a wealthy person. The Socratic Methodis known as the famous process in helping
people. He would ask them a number of questions and listen to what one had to say, rather than
making assumptions and jumping to conclusions. His goal was to let the other person listen to
themselves and realize what they are speaking. He tried to give them a voice of reasoning and
have them truly understand that the answer doesn t necessarily have to come from someone else s
perspectives but their own. Socrates ended up being put on trial for a number of reasons. Our
modern day knowledge of the word apology has no where near the same meaning as the title

Cuban Embargo
1.Economic sanctions placed on Cuba by the US as a result of cold war era problems have
resulted in a halt in Cuban economic growth. This problems included their friendliness with the
soviets, and the missile crisis as a result of this. Other factors that contributed to the hatred
between the two nations, the one having the most effect being the travel and economic embargo
placed on the island nation. This occurred shortly after Fidel Castro s entrance into power,
mainly on his decision to nationalize private US oil companies. The embargo that has been in
place for more than 54 years has not only been widely rejected globally, due to its effect on the
island s economy which has led to a reduction in the quality of life of many working class Cubans
and its effect it has had on the establishment of the Cuban government. This includes shortages of
food, crumbling infrastructure, and lack of jobs. Secret peace talks... Show more content on

The result of this was three Cuban prisoners were released by the US and by the release of Alan
Gross a US citizen. The US gov has been considering reopening their embassy in Havana as a
result of this. 2.The UN has always urged for the embargo to be lifted by the US imperialists
with the first vote having been in 1992. This has been reflected continuously by the vote of the
general assembly to have the US lift the embargo. In the 193 nation assembly 188 voted in favor
of lifting the embargo with the USA and Israel opposed. Through the years it has been made clear
that the world is in favour of the lift of the embargo which would not only help reestablish
diplomatic relations, but would also allow the Cuban economy to develop once again. Many
nations have praised president Obama s and President Raul Castro s actions to reestablish
diplomatic relations between the two providing a path to friendliness and eventually a lift in the
embargo. The most influential NGO that has dealt with this issue

Mechanism For Melanocyte Apoptosis
There are no sufficient data about the definite mechanism for melanocyte apoptosis, but
autoimmune mechanism is thought to be stongly involved in vitiligo development, especially non
segmental vitiligo (Yang et al., 2015).
Cytokines such as IL 1, IFNОі or TNFО± are paracrine inhibitors of melanocytes and can initiate
apoptosis. Increased TNFО± protein and transcript levels in patients with vitiligo have been shown,
suggesting an early apoptosis of melanocytes. Apoptosis of melanocytes in vitiligo may also be due
to melanocyte specific antibodies (Laddha et al., 2013).
Moretti et al., used TUNEL assay and electron microscopy to confirm increase of apoptotic
keratinocytes in vitiligo skin biopsies (Diab et al., 2016).

While its pathological increase inhibits melanogenesis and induces melanocytorrhagy leading
eventually to development of vitiligo (Kumar and Parsad, 2012).
9 convergence theory:
This theory supposes the multifactorial origin of vitiligo. Many factors including stress,
accumulation of toxic compounds, infection, autoimmunity, mutations, altered cellular
environment, and impaired melanocytes migration can all contribute to pathogenesis (ChOudhary,
2015).
Clinical Manifestations of Vitiligo:
Vitiligo manifests as acquired single or multiple depigmented macules or patches that are chalk or
milk white in color, surrounded by normal, hyperpigmented or sometimes red inflammatory border
(Basha et al., 2015).
Depigmentation preferentially appears around body orifices such as eyes, mouth, nostril, genitalia
and umbilicus (Biswas et al., 2015). It may also involve the eyelids and hair. Lesions are well
demarcated, round, oval, or linear in shape. The borders are convex. Lesions enlarge centrifugally
over time at an unpredictable rate ranging from millimeters to centimeters in size. (Kumar, 2015).
Vora et al. (2014) noticed that the commonest site to be affected was lower limb, followed by upper
limb, face, trunk, and genitals. The commonest morphological pattern observed was vitiligo
vulgaris, other patterns noticed were acrofacial, segmental, universal, and mucosal. Bilateral
distribution was a common observation among patients and most of patients showed more than

Whether is Facebook, Twitter, an email to your co works, or a professional document you will be judged by your writing style based on if it s good or bad. If your writingstyle full of miss spelled words, bad grammar, and horrible flow you will fail to get your point across clearly and people will think you are uneducated. Just like anything else you have to start with the basics and I feel like I accomplished that over this last eight weeks. The first bad habit this class help me correct was mixing up future, past tense, and current situations in one paragraph. • 11. The Meaning Of Life In Siddhartha iddhartha LAP Topic #8 Abid Ahmad Everything we do in the world is absolutely pointless. We as humans are irrelevant specks in the vast universe that go about our repetitive lives for no apparent reason. At the end of the day, it makes no difference how much good or bad we do in the world. This is the ignorant view of the world that fails to see the perfect harmony in which we all live our lives. The redundant cycles that we try so hard to get away from are part of our overarching connectedness as humans. As parts of a whole, all of us have a role to play in making our lives better for ourselves and others. Our role is the very meaning of life, and we should embrace it wholeheartedly. The novel Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse stresses this cyclical unification through various circular constructions throughout Siddhartha s life. Siddhartha had to deal with many individual stages of his life that seemed pointless. These cycles almost drove him to the point of suicide, but he was saved by the river which acted as a symbol for his entire life, as a united whole. This was the gateway to his attainment of enlightenment, allowing him to feel closer to everyone around him. Siddhartha began as an affluent Brahmin s son, coveted by all close to him. His family and friends greatly admired the level of intuition and intellect that Siddhartha had possessed. Govinda, his best friend, constantly adored him and followed in his footsteps. For example, you know that feeling you get when the roller coaster begins to go downward and it feels like your heart is in your throat? Well, that is the experience you get when you have a near death experience. Now, some are preventable, while others are not. If you were to ask those that have had a date with death and make it out alive, you will learn they all share the same characteristics: change in perspective, time slows down, and adrenaline rush. When it comes to a change in priorities Tom Benecke, Scott Lear, Patrick Daniels, and Isabelle Knarr, they all had a change of heart. For example, Isabelle stated that when she was in the wreck she felt as if someone had paused all the motion going on around her then all at once everything started to play in slow motion. Cysts are noncancerous round sacs that vary in size containing water like fluid (Igarashi, 2002). This can be associated with a number of conditions, including: High blood pressure, Urinary and kidneyinfections, Kidney stones, and Kidney failure (AudrГ©zet, 2012). Although mass mediacurrently provides adults and teenagers with essential opportunities to receive insight into a wide range of fields, it also raises knotty problems pertaining to their self esteem, behaviour and actions. On one hand, mass communication has a detrimental influence on the self respect of the older generation (over 65 years old). In fact, when advertisers strive for promoting their products, they do not include images of the elderly because they are often associated with ineffectiveness, unattractiveness, immobilisation and unhappiness. • 36. The Representation Of Refugees Through A Political And... Refugees are a prominent group of people in today s society. A refugee is someone who is outside his or her country of origin and is at risk of being persecuted if he or she returns . The Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees establishes the basic human rights to which refugees are entitled wherever they are (Dauvergne, 2012, p. 1445). Refugees are talked about and handled in certain ways within different discourses. Foucault s defines discourseas the rules and practices that produce meaningful statements about a topic at a particular historical moment. He argues that it constricts the topic . (Hall, 1997, p.44). This essay will analyse the representation of refugees through a political and media discourse. A political discourse on refugees is explored in Rocco Fazzari and Denis Carnahan s video Stop the Boats (with cash) Tony . The video highlights the political language for talking about refugees and the ways in which they are viewed by the Australian government. In comparison the media discourse will be examined through Nilufer Demir s (2015) photograph of a drowned Syrian child refugee. The image stresses the pivotal role the media plays in constructing and circulating meanings (Hightower, 2014, p.336). By analysing refugees through these two texts, an understanding of the different representation and meanings produced by separate discourses on the same topic can be developed. A political discourse allows the government s policies on refugees and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

WIth that being said the hypothalamus, in the brain, is in charge of theses secretions through the pituitary gland or hypophysis. The pituitary gland consists of the anterior portion and the posterior portion. Both of these portions have different functions and secretions of hormones. In the posterior part of the pituitary, the hormones secreted are oxytocin and the antidiuretic hormone. Oxytocin is responsible for the contractions during delivery of a newborn and also produces the breast milk needed for the newborn. The anterior portion, on the other hand, has quite a few different hormones that are secreted to the body such as, the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), follicle stimulating... The thyroid gland releases 3 different hormones that are beneficial to the body. These hormones are calcitonin, triiodothyronine, and thyroxine. Triiodothyronine and thyroxine cooperate in regulating the body s metabolic rate. Whereas, Calcitonin works to absorb calcium in the blood and sends it to the bone matrix. The parathyroid gland is actually located at each corner of the thyroid gland. This gland produces the parathyroid hormone and it regulates the calcium levels in the blood and in the bones. Now, the adrenal glands consist of two separate parts that sit on top of the kidneys, the medulla and cortex. The medulla portion produces the hormones, epinephrine and norepinephrine. These hormones are how the body reacts in a stressful situation. The cortex is the secondary part of the adrenal glands and its function mainly regulates blood pressure and blood sugar levels by breaking down the proteins to produce glucose. ... Abstract : The postcolonial writers may not achieve international success unless they address certain themes, or more established figures discover them, should be considered as well. Mahasweta provides a fruitful example: Mahasweta is an intensive and a social alert writer who showcases the rural realities as well as a broad narrative of the importance of the unprivileged or the people living on the extreme. While Mahasweta originally written in her native Bengali language, most of her works are translated into English and regional Indian languages. The credit for translating her works into English for the first time goes to Gayatri Spivak, who had translated Mahasweta s Draupadi in 1981 and Breast Giver (Stanadayini) in 1987. Since then many of her stories have been translated into English by other scholarly translators, and until now about a dozen translators have translated Mahasweta s stories into English, among whom the foremost are Spivak and Bandyopadhyay. Mahasweta claims on translators capturing the spirit of her work, which to her is more important than technical or even artistic perfection and she readily authorizes those translations of her fiction that have been faithful to the spirit of her fiction. A very important aspect of Mahasweta s text is spontaneity and capturing of sudden surge of thoughts which runs in the mind of the characters. For instance, Spivak has translated the text Draupati thereby compromising with the syntactic structure of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. The Problem Of Providing Coverage Using A Group Of Mobile... The problem of providing coverage using a group of mobile agents is investigated, where it is desired to minimize the overall coverage metric (service cost) while achieving maximum coverage with minimum actuator energy required by each agent. In addition, a distributed multi agent area coverage control (MAACC) law is then provided which guarantees the convergence of agents to the optimal configuration with respect to the cost (coverage metric) function. A common assumption in all of the coverage control results is that the distribution of sensory information in the environment is known apriori by all agents. The proposed cooperative area coverage control framework is based on two interdependent tasks: (i) online learning of the coverage area and storing of the data in the form of a probability map ; and (ii) utilization of the probability map (which is used as a search map) and other data collected to compute online a positional error trajectory (e(t)) for the agents to follow at specified sampling time steps. The group of agents is considered as being a group of autonomous agents which exchange data but ultimately make their own decisions based on the received data collected during an area coverage mission. In addition to the probability map, each agent in a multi agent system transmits its position information to its neighbours and receives the same information from them. If more than one creditor has a security interest in the same collateral, both companies may not recover the debt from the debtors in cases of bankruptcy where a third party may have their debts satisfied from the same collateral. One way to avoid this is to perfect the agreement which is the legal process that secured parties protect themselves against third party claims to have their debts satisfied from the same collateral.
