This document discusses integrating the virtual world Second Life with the learning management system Moodle, called "Sloodle". It proposes using Sloodle for virtual field trips and cross-cultural collaboration. Two professional development courses are described: one focused on social studies using virtual museums, the other multi-disciplinary covering various subject areas. Participants would learn about virtual worlds, Moodle tools, and create lesson plans or presentations to share. Contact information is provided for the project leaders to find out more.
