The meet-up will be hosted by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), a research university specializing in engineering science & technology.
Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.

- 2. What is Twitter? n Microblogging n 140 characters
- 4. Creating your Profile n User name n Twitter Handle (this is known as your @username) n Bio n Who you are n What you teach n Your philosophy n Topics of Interest n Use a picture, not an egg!
- 5. Anatomy of a Tweet 1. @mention / @ reply 2. Retweet 3. Hashtag 4. Direct Message 5. Favorite
- 7. @ mention (aka an @ reply) n an @mention used when a person is having a conversation with another twitterer. n Use @ mention when referring to other twitter users. This means the other users will be alerted of your conversation. (can be done via phone) n You only see @ mentions if you follow both twitterers or you are looking at another person’s tweet timeline.
- 8. RT (also known as a Retweet) n Any tweet starting with “RT” means someone is re-tweeting some one else’s tweet. n Used to quickly share tweets by someone else that might contain links, news or anything you think your twitter followers will find interesting.
- 9. # (Hashtags) n Any word starting with t he “#” hash symbol is known as a hash tag. n Hash tags make it easier to search and follow the twitter conversations on specific topics n Serves as a filtering system

- 11. DM (aka) Direct Message) n DM’s are private mess ages sent from one Twitterer to another. n You can only send a DM to a person who follows you; they can only reply to your DM if you also follow them.
