HOW TWITTER WORKS
• Twitter provides a platform to individuals and firms to create
messages (tweets) of up to 140 characters, which can be broadcasted
to all the users subscribing to your account (followers).
• These messages are displayed on your timeline (news feed) whenever
you login from your account.
• Tweets may include:
• Hashtag: generally used to converse on a specific topic that can be searched
using this hashtag
• Mention: the user name of a business or individual you are refereeing to
• Web links: you can send links of your favourite web pages to your followers
