Turn it Up Pre-Production
Synopsis
The journey that a girls take to get to party whilst spending time/ going into in her head
(bright and colourful, neon etc).
The music videos consists of the journey that two girls take going to a party, however, they
feel like the atmosphere is lacking something. Throughout, they are hallucinating to be
someone better. They started to listen to music and music gave them the feeling that they
needed.
The opening scene consist of someone putting on the cd into a portable player and pressing
start to play the music. Outside of their heads the scenes are going to be black and white,
but the thoughts in the head are coloured.
The instrumental part of the music would be where the main lead would be doing everyone’s
make-up to get ready for the party night, then as the main chorus approaches it would switch
back and forth reality and inside thoughts.
We will take some of the lyrics literally, in some cases, such as Dress up bright tonight, and
we will have main leads wearing bright colour clothes. We will finish with the inside thoughts
and robotic movements.
We will be using videvo.net for stock videos that will be included in our music video.
Licensing
Videvo offers free stock videos and motion graphics for use in any project. You may
use these video clips free of charge, in both personal and commercial productions.
Video clips that carry the Creative Commons 3.0 license must be attributed the
original author.
Recces
These recces are taken from Google Maps, we have decided that we are going to film in a
pub for the party scene, as well as Norwich for the travelling scene. We are also going to use
W16 for extra scenes such where the inside thoughts would be filmed at.

● Make up kit (provided by Maia)
Costume (makeup etc):
● Rainbow Ragged Priest dress
● Brightly coloured shirts
● Neon colours, bowie-esque, metallics (mainly silver), some drag makeup

Turn it up Pre-production

  • 1. Turn it Up Pre-Production Synopsis The journey that a girls take to get to party whilst spending time/ going into in her head (bright and colourful, neon etc). The music videos consists of the journey that two girls take going to a party, however, they feel like the atmosphere is lacking something. Throughout, they are hallucinating to be someone better. They started to listen to music and music gave them the feeling that they needed. The opening scene consist of someone putting on the cd into a portable player and pressing start to play the music. Outside of their heads the scenes are going to be black and white, but the thoughts in the head are coloured. The instrumental part of the music would be where the main lead would be doing everyone’s make-up to get ready for the party night, then as the main chorus approaches it would switch back and forth reality and inside thoughts. We will take some of the lyrics literally, in some cases, such as Dress up bright tonight, and we will have main leads wearing bright colour clothes. We will finish with the inside thoughts and robotic movements. We will be using videvo.net for stock videos that will be included in our music video. Licensing Videvo offers free stock videos and motion graphics for use in any project. You may use these video clips free of charge, in both personal and commercial productions. Video clips that carry the Creative Commons 3.0 license must be attributed the original author.
  • 2. Recces These recces are taken from Google Maps, we have decided that we are going to film in a pub for the party scene, as well as Norwich for the travelling scene. We are also going to use W16 for extra scenes such where the inside thoughts would be filmed at.
