Essential Question:       How can I get students excited about writing using technology?
Assignment                I will teach students how to use Little Bird Tales to bring their
Summary:                  stories to life.
Approximate Length of Unit (days, weeks)
Two Weeks
Goals:
Students will create stories using Little Bird Tales Website
Objectives:
       Students will write a simple story with a title page, and three additional
       pages.
       Students will record their voices reading the story.
       Students will become familiar with using the Little Bird Tales website

 Lesson Plan Sequence of Events – give day-to-day details:
Day One: Show Students the Power Point Presentation. Students will begin writing drafts
     of their stories with their partners.
Day Two: Students login to Little Bird Tales and write a title for their story, choose a
     picture from the gallery and record their voices.
Day Three: Students will add the first page to their Little Bird books. They will type the
     text, choose a picture from the gallery and record their voices for page one of their
     story.

Day Four: Students will add the second page to their Little Bird books. They will type the
     text, choose a picture from the gallery and record their voices for page two of their
     story.

Day Five: Students will add the third page to their Little Bird books. They will type the
     text, choose a picture from the gallery and record their voices for page three of their
     story.
Day Six: Students will learn how to share their stories on Little Bird Tales website.

Day Seven: Students will watch other student’s stories on Little Bird Tales.

Day Eight: Teacher assessment and student feedback.

Resource Student: One on one peer coaching throughout the lesson. Teacher support
