Trnava is one of the oldest and most beautiful medieval towns in Slovakia. It has a population of about 70,000 people and was the first town granted privileges as a Free Royal Town. The skyline is dominated by numerous church towers reflecting its rich history and spiritual significance. Some of its most prominent landmarks include the Renaissance Town Tower from 1574, the Holy Trinity Sculptural Group from 1695, and the St. Nicholas Basilica built in Gothic style between 1380-1421, which is the dominant landmark in Trnava.
