Trigonometry
Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the relations between the elements (sides and angles) of a triangle. You might
now be remembering many trigonometric formulas and equations you learned during your school or college days. Some of them are
cot x = 1/tanx , six x/cos x = tan x, sin(900-x) - cos x and so on. Excel offers a number of built-in functions that deal with trigonometry.
Using Degrees
To supply an angle to SIN in degrees, multiply the angle by PI()/180 or use the RADIANS function to convert to radians. For
example, to get the SIN of 30 degrees, you can use either formula below:

How to use the SINH Function (WS)
The Microsoft Excel SINH function returns the hyperbolic sine of a number.
The SINH function is a built-in function in Excel that is categorized as a Math/Trig Function. It can be used as a worksheet function
(WS) in Excel. As a worksheet function, the SINH function can be entered as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.

Arguments
•array - A square array of numbers only.
SUM Function
The SUM function is categorized under Excel Math and Trigonometry functions. The function will sum up cells that are supplied as
multiple arguments. It is the most popular and widely used function in Excel.
Formula
=SUM(number1, [number2], [number3]……)
The SUM function uses the following arguments:
1.Number1 (required argument) – This is the first item that we wish to sum.
2.Number2 (required argument) – The second item that we wish to sum.
3.Number3 (optional argument) – This is the third item that we wish to sum.
The function sums values supplied as arguments (up to 255 arguments). Arguments can be supplied as numbers, cell references,
ranges, arrays, constants, and the results of other formulas or functions.
