The Discovery Educator Network, ISTE standards, and the Institute for Cooperative Education in Second Life aim to foster collaboration between educators using digital tools and resources. The Espurna Project wiki allows educators to freely access and share presentations, while Connectivitas researches the growth of connectivism in Spanish-speaking communities.

2. The Discovery Educator Network is a global community of educators who are excited by the power of digital media and want to collaborate and share resources with other teachers.

3. ISTE's National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) have served as a roadmap since 1998 for improved teaching and learning by educators. ISTE standards for students, teachers, and administrators help to measure proficiency and set aspirational goals for the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to succeed in today’s Digital Age.

4. The Institute for Cooperative Education (ICE) is lead by a group of educators who believe in continuing the tradition of quality education in Second Life. In our goal to collaborate, ICE does not have a single leader, rather five group officers who work together as a team.

5. The Espurna Project is the sum of various communities of educators (IOC, the ICE at UAB, IERN Pangea, Novadors, ...) who gather to share resources and create educational tools. Has developed a wiki that is handled via Web and allows you to see the presentations in the screen of the virtual auditorium without any financial cost.

6. Connectivitas is a group that studies the effects of increasing Connectivism in the Spanish speaking world.
