The Theological Concept Of The Divine Mother Essay
Debates on the theological concept of the Divine Mother
The 20th century feminist criticism of the systems of re presentation have attempted to expose the
system of power that authorises certain representations while blocking, prohibiting, or invalidating
others .83 Corrington further evaluates that if this is true for modes of expressing concepts in
general, it is even more true for modes of expressing religious concepts .84
Moreover, summarising Ochshorn s argument for the expression of such concepts in monotheistic
religions, Corrington states that the limitation of a deity to a single dynamic personality entailed
the assignment to that persona of a gender that was perceived as the least limited in its socio
biological role .85
Such expression is seen in early Christianity, when Jesus as the incarnation of God has become a
crucial model for the saviour of the human race.86 In the work of Ruether who argues for
misappropriation of the saviour figure in the early Christian thought, the discussion on such
gender limitation takes the most dramatic turn: Who is this saviour, and from what does he save
us? This saviour of men comes to free men from birth, from women, from earth, and from limits.
This saviour can only come in the image of the male. As God can only be imaged as male, as the
male is the proper image of God, so the saviour too must be male.... .87
The key to understanding this tension lies in understanding of both the aforementioned expression of

Narrative About Drivers
Driving has never been an interest of mine. Numerous movies and television shows make getting
your driver s license a monumental part of every teenager s life. To most of my peers, it is.
However, I have always preferred to enjoy my time having somebody else take care of my
transportation. As I ve grown older, I couldn t help but notice more and more downfalls to driving.
One particular experience with my uncle and two of my cousins stands out more than the rest. I
will admit I should have expected something to go wrong while my uncle was driving; I had
heard about his tendency to become distracted and his occasional wrecks before. However, none

Ariel was crying loudly in my right ear, but it was mostly drowned out by the sirens of
approaching police cars that were still out of sight. My uncle had left the car to unbuckle Ariel
from her car seat while I slowly bent my hand down to unbuckle myself. Once I was outside, I saw
the young, college aged couple who were driving the red truck. The girl who was in the passenger s
seat was crying while the man who was driving simply looked shocked. As the police cars were
driving toward us, my uncle told Ashlyn to take us into their house since it was only a few blocks

Essay about achieving success and virtual teams
Case Analysis 3
Achieving Success in Virtual Teams
Overview: In today s competitive world, companies are gradually vacating their cubicles and enter
into the virtual workforce to increase work efficiency, reduce cost and resolve organizational
problems (Ahmed Ebrahim, 2009). Nowadays, companies are investing a bulk amount of money on
virtual teams to enhance their performance since it has become an indispensable prerequisite for
companies to stay in competitive in the era of globalization (Ahmed Ebrahim, 2009). Virtual teams

348). Virtual team members have to be more self motivated and disciplined in their assigned work
and they must be proficient in using variety of tech tools in order to accomplish their task (Settle
Murphy, 2009). Likewise, Virtual team members have to have the ability to manage their time
effectively and those who can understand that how much time they need to get their task done are
usually far more productive which in turns contribute to the success of virtual team. Moreover,
communication effectiveness and stimulating work are the two vital features of actuating the
success or failure of virtual teams; for instance, team members should know what to communicate,
how and when and the whole communication process should be concise and lucid to avoid any
misinterpretation (Nelson Quick, 2013, p. 348). In contrast, the failure of virtual teams relies on
several things wherein people play a major part in the context of virtual arena; for example, a
consulting service company; NetAge reveals the fact that the percentage of having failure of virtual
teams is around 90% of people (Nelson Quick, 2013, p. 348). Vagueness in communication might
lead to the failure of virtual teams; for instance, if the message is unclear and tough to comprehend
then it would hamper the work procedure and

Power In The Handmaid s Tale
The good want power, but to weep barren tears. Powerful goodness wants worse need for them.
Wise want love; those who love to want wisdom; And all best things are thus confused to ill.
Shelly claims about the desire for power over one s self or others is always a dominant factor in

Characteristics Of Princess Diana
Abstract
Princess Diana was known as the people s princess; but Diana was much more than that. Diana was
an activist, humanitarian, public servant and a leader. Princess Diana s entire adult life was focused
on helping those less fortunate, those suffering from debilitating diseases and offering aide to
people from third world countries. Diana didn t just contribute time but focused on attracting the
attention of the media which brought spectators and in return brought followers. These
followers were willing to contribute time and resources to hundreds of causes Princess Diana
found important. Diana had great charisma that she spread to all the people she met. In the
developing countries she was able to empower others by improving their self esteem (Gram
2013). Princess Diana led a life of giving and through many years of personal grief and loss
followed by a tragic death the world has suffered a great loss as well. Fortunately, Diana was
such an impactful leader that to this day there are memorial funds set up in Princess Diana s name
to assist with many of the charities that the Princess adored. Because of the hours and back
breaking work the Princess put in to these charities, they still reap benefits from the followers of
the people s leader, Princess Diana.
Princess Diana; a Leader A leader can possess many unique qualities. Merriam Webster defines a
leader as someone who guides others. A quick google search provides a definition of a person
who commands a group. Princess Diana was known to compassionately guide people to service.
Without instructing, verbalizing or motioning Diana was able to influence the way the world felt
about many different causes. Princess Diana was able to change the world s views and
perceptions about contagious diseases, third world countries and many different world crises.
Diana was passionate about all of the charities and work performed and was never fearful to be the
first to volunteer. Diana did not discriminate in any charity, she worked for the homeless, youth,
drug addicts, and the elderly (thefamouspeople.com 2013).

The board of directors and top executives won t admit they are wrong, they didn t think they will

They thought ESI was bluffing and after December 31st 2011, they dropped Walgreens from their
network services.
LITERATURE REVIEW
A Literature review was conducted to determine how alienating Walgreens from the ESI network
has caused a major constraint on the payer, patients, and employees. Each party used different
strategy to keep their patients in their network. Walgreens began putting signage out encouraging
consumers to talk to their insurance plans about excluding them from the network and for
Medicare members to choose plans that aren t run by Express Scripts. Walgreens also gave out a
pamphlet about what happens when you remove them from the network. It goes as follows:
Key Statement: Excluding Walgreens from a pharmacy network will result in little to no savings
for most sponsors and patients, and in some cases will raise costs, while causing significant patient
disruption and risking gaps in care, and increasing administrative costs on plan sponsors.
As part of this document, they are encouraging payers to consider directly contracting with them
and/or creating a custom network (if their PBM contracts allow for that).
They state that their costs are comparable to other retailers or

Role of Culture and Ikea
Introduction Company Background
IKEA furnitures, privately held, international, low cost home products are an inevitable part of
interior furnishings at many houses in the world. IKEA furnitures are marked for its modern
utilitarian design. The company has 260 retail outlets around the world and more new stores are on
the line to be opened in 2008 (Dhanyasree, 2007).
IKEA was founded in 1943 by a 17 year old Ingvar Kamprad in Smaland, south of Sweden. IKEA
formed its name from the founder s initials (I.K.) plus the first letters of Elmtaryd and Agunnaryd,
the farm and village where he grew up from a farmer to a businessman. Ingvar sold whatever he

IKEA wants its coworkers to feel important so that they will be able to express their ideas and
feel responsible for improving the way things are done (Larsson, Brousseau, Driver, Holmqvist
Tarnovskaya, 2003). For example, on opening day of the original Stockholm store, the warehouse
could not cope with the rush of customers. The store manager suggested that they be allowed to go
into the warehouse to pick up their purchases. The result was so successful that future warehouses
were designed to allow self selection by customers, resulting in cost savings and faster service
(Bartlett Nanda, 1996).
Because it had such a strong and unique culture, IKEA preferred not to recruit those who had
already been immersed in another cultural stream. Nor was higher education necessary or even
advantageous in IKEA. The Stockholm raised, highly educated, status oriented individuals often
find it difficult to adjust to the culture of the company , remarked one executive. Younger, more
open recruits not only keep costs low, but they also absorb and amplify the enthusiasm of the
company. We can develop them quickly by delegating responsibilities early, rotating them
frequently, and offering rapid promotions to the high performers (Bartlett Nanda, 1996).
In 1976, Kamprad felt the need to commit to paper the values that had developed in IKEA during
the precious decade. His thesis, Testament

Hydrocephaly-MASA Spectrum Analysis
Hydrocephaly MASA Spectrum is the most common XLID syndrome with a structural
malformation of the central nervous system. Isolation of mutations in L1CAM has allowed
inclusion of four entities that were previously thought to be separate entities in the spectrum; these
include X linked hydrocephaly, MASA syndrome, XLID clasp thumb and complicated spastic
paraplegia (Stevenson RE., 2013). Hypotonia is usually present initially and replaced by spasticity
in the late childhood. Interestingly, the degree of intellectual development of these individuals
appears to be correlated with the severity of hydrocephaly. Hydranencephaly represents the most
severe form of ARX associated XLID. In most cases it is coupled with abnormalities of neuronal

Supply And Demand Factors Influencing The Physical Gold...
Introduction
Gold has been one of the valuable desires for the past thousands years. Its rarity, indestructibility
and malleability, enabled it to be the main interest to both, the individuals and businesses. As a
result of these properties, the exploration of gold has been of central significance .The intention of
this study is expand on many of the theories and notions concerning supply and demand factors
influencing the physical gold market.
The study of demand analysis is very essential for any entrepreneur because their main objective is
to maximise the profit with efficiently allocating the limited resources provided. The demand
analysis supports in enhancing output with systematically utilizing the resources as well as selling
the output for maximum profits (Chimoriya, 2015). It allows the entrepreneur to: forecast necessity
and sales, determine prices, decisions relating to profit.
To begin with, it will be very useful to look at the PEST Analysis where the gold market is
analysed from the 4 different points of view.
Political:
Government has a huge impact in the gold industry. It imposes royalties on gold mining, which
affects the competitiveness. Alongside, many policies set by the government restrict and control
the supply and demand for example hoarding and dishoarding the gold (Unknown, 2015). Firstly, in
order to encourage miners to mine more gold, the government hoards the gold. Secondly, when the
demand for gold increases

Richard Wright s Short Stories Richard was born, raised, and grew up in a difficult period of
life. However, when Wright was sixteen, a short story of his was published in a Southern
African American newspaper. After leaving high school, Wright worded a few odd jobs, but still
showed his true love for writing. In 1927, Wright decided to pack up his belongings and head to
Chicago. A short ten years later, Richard moved to New York City, where he was told it would be
easier getting published. One year later, Wright s first book was published. Since then, Wright has
wrote a number of books, series and short stories until he died in 1960. With that being said,
Richard Wright s short stories, The Man Who Was Almost A Man and Big BoyLeaves Home were

Seatbelts
There are many causes of crashes and fatalities on the road. One cause of death on
Utah highways is Unrestrained Occupants. Another cause for accidents is speeding. The last cause
is following too closely to the car in front of you. These are all things the people of Utah should
work on.
When you are inside a moving vehicle you should always have a seatbelt on, regardless of who is
driving. There is no reason to ride inside a vehicle without a seatbelt on. If you are unrestrained
you are much more likely to have a fatality. When you crash and you don t have a seatbelt on it

Another cause of accidents on Utah highways is speeding. The speed limits were set on that road
for a reason. If you are speeding you are going to potentially hurt other people and yourself. When
you speed you increase your chance of crashing dramatically. The Utah Driving
Handbook says There is 42% chance if you crash that you will die, also if you are a teen, 12%
chance of crashing if you are speeding. This means that the chances are way too high for you to
be speeding. There are police officers for a reason, they monitor us so that we don t speed because
when we do it usually turns out disastrous.
The last cause of accidents on Utah highways is following too closely to the vehicle ahead of

of you this way there should be no reason to crash into them, there should be plenty of time to
respond if they happen to slam on their brakes. Also the closer you get to the person, the higher the
chances of getting in an accident. I am assuming that most people would not like to crash their

Organizational Strategy For A Successful Business
A successful business is made up of various parts so it is imperative that managers develop the
right mix of objectives and personnel if they want to have a fighting chance to survive in today s
global economy. An up and coming business starts with strategic, operational and tactical plans
developed by top executives and other managers. These plans define what the company will
accomplish and how they are going to achieve it. Effective leaders know a plan is only as strong
as the people they have to do the work. Bosses cannot be the worker, front line supervisor and
senior managementall at once. They have to rely on their workforce to get the job done. Managers
establish a business plan and then, they turn their focus on the resources required to realize their
goals. The most critical resource is their labor force. Organizational strategy is only effective if
managers develop a human resourcesplan that specifies the appropriate manpower needed to run an
effective business.
An organizational plan defines the purpose of a company, but a business is lifeless without its
people. In order to hire, train, and promote a quality talent pool, managers in a large firm will turn
to a Human Resource manager or personnel manager to find potential candidates (Plunkett, Allen
Attner, 2013). Just like most functions within an organization, there is a process for staffing that is
made up of eight elements. The eight elements of the staffing process include human resource

The Boxer Rebellion Of China

Honors English 11
1 October 2014
The Boxer Rebellion In the very late 1800 s and into the early 1900 s, terror struck northern China
when a group of Chinese peasants known as Boxer s began their historic rebellion against the
spread of western and Japanese influence in China. They were attempting to drive all foreigners out
and away from China, fearing that they would transform traditional ways of the Chinese culture.
This event would prove to be a detriment to both the people of China, as well as the country of
China as a whole, costing them large amounts of money, losing thousands of innocent people, and
hurting their reputation. Not only was China affected by this issue, but countries including
America, England, Russia, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and Japan were
called for, and aided in China s cry for help. This is important because China would later have to
pay each these countries back for all of their help, which was not a cheap cost to pay. Importance
of this event will be shown through the rise of the Boxer Rebellion along with what occurred
during the rebellion, the many effects the rebellion had both the people of China, and as a country,
and the non justification of the Boxer Rebellion, despite it having such a large impact on China. It
all began in the year 1899, when the Boxers began to practice physical exercises which they

Thanks to funds and each of the medical professionals here at the clinic it can be said in the past
we treated each patient with beneficence, including the undocumented. Each of you provided the
best care you could albeit the numerous circumstances we have encountered and acted with
kindness, mercy, and charity towards our patients (Beauchamp Childress, 2013). Before each of
you started working here you each swore to provide care within your scope of practice, care for
patients with altruism and without prejudice. By providing solely emergency care to
undocumented immigrants we will still be providing routine care and abiding by our call of duty.
Some individuals may view this as non beneficent and prejudice due to the clinic no longer
providing care to the undocumented that are acutely and chronically ill. However, we must
remember care that goes above and beyond that of emergency care goes above the routine call of
duty. In combination with limiting care to the undocumented, the board has come to an agreement
on additional services that we can ration appropriately. Undocumented individuals and those who
enter our facility that need additional care, besides emergency treatment or services we have

The United States and the International Criminal Court (ICC)
The United States and the International Criminal Court (ICC)
Statement of Purpose
This paper will clearly lay out the Unites States concerns with the International Criminal Court and
will attempt to resolve them. I will then argue that no country has the right to be above international
law, including the United States and that it is in the best interest of America and the world
community for the united states to join the efforts of the ICC and sign the Rome Statute.
Introduction to the ICC
In the prospect of an international criminal court lies the promise of universal justice. That is the
simple and soaring hope of this vision. We are close to its realization. We will do our part to see it

Finally, in July of 1998 the international community met in Rome to finalize the draft statute, which
is now referred to as the Rome Statute of the ICC. The primary goals of the International Criminal
Court are to achieve justice for all, to end impunity, to help end conflicts, to remedy the deficiencies
of ad hoc tribunals, to take over when national criminal justice institutions are unwilling or unable
to act, and to deter future war criminals.
For nearly half a century almost as long as the United Nations has been in existence the General
Assembly has recognized the need to establish such a court to prosecute and punish persons
responsible for crimes such as genocide. Many thought... that the horrors of the Second World War
the camps, the cruelty, the exterminations, the Holocaust could never happen again. And yet they
have. In Cambodia, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Rwanda. Our time this decade even has shown

The generic conventions that society condones concerning the male and the female figure is
emphasized on the Men s Health magazine headlining Cristiano Ronaldo, a world class soccer
athlete, GQ magazine (The Body Issue) calling attention to Cristiano Ronaldo and Alessandra
Ambrosie, and Muscle and Fitness featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Study done by researchers
shows that men s most powerful space of resistance against pressures to possess the perfect body
was a traditional masculine identity, and females powerful space of resistance was less traditional
feminine identities incorporating masculine characteristics (Jackson et al 30). This study holds true

Synthesis of Adipic Acid Essay example
Experiment 8: Synthesis of Adipic Acid

Organic Chemistry 344

Fall 2011
Objective: The purpose of this experiment was to synthesize adipic acid from cyclohexanol via an
oxidation reaction that was catalyzed by sulfuric acid. Purity of the product was assessed by
measuring the melting point.

The oxidation reaction between cyclohexanol and sulfuric acid was successful in that it did in fact
yield the adipic acid product but unsuccessful in the amount that was yielded, with a percent yield
of only 35.0%. This yield may have been low due to both experimental and technical errors. One of
the major causes of the low yield most likely had to do with the fact that the temperature went
below 55.00C and above 65.00C during certain points of the reaction. When the reaction
temperature goes above 65.00C, it causes the yield of adipic acid to be lower due to further
oxidation. When the reaction temperature goes below 55.00C, it causes the yield of adipic acid to
be lower due to the fact that the amount of energy is not high enough to activate oxidation of the
reaction. Some of the product also most likely was lost during both the crystallization and
recrystallization process. Since adipic acid is somewhat water soluble, some of the product most
likely moved with the water that was used to rinse it through the filter out of the Buchner funnel
during vacuum filtration. This error could have been reduced had the

Sikh Diet Research Paper
Another important Sikh ideal is that we should not eat things that result from the killing of an
animal. It is not correct however to say that the Sikh diet is a vegan diet. It is adequate to eat or
drink something that an animal produces but it is not adequate to eat or drink something that
comes from the killing of an animal or living being in general. In the Siri Guru Granth Sahib it
says, Whosoever takes Marijuana, fish and alcoholic drinks; all his pilgrimages, fasts and
performance of religious practices shall go waste (SGGS 1377). The reason for this is because
killing a living being for your own benefit is seen as an unrighteous action. It is deemed unethical
to kill, and it is believed that God resides in all including animals and... Show more content on

One way the caste system is abolished is through langar. Langar is the free kitchen and dinning
hall, or other provision for serving meals that must be attached to the Gurdwaras. The purpose was
to clearly eliminate caste on the territory of the Gurdwara and so to eliminate it as either as a
means or a hindrance to liberation (Mcleod 121). A Sikhpractice in which everyone sits down on
the floor together and takes part in eating langar together is seen at all Gurdwaras. This is an
important Sikh practice because it allows everyone to sit at one level and eat the same meal. No
one person is higher than another and that is the goal of this practice as mentioned. Sikhism
focuses largely on equality and today it is still seen that equality in all is not seen. Sikhs fight
for equality as a whole in America especially after the 9/11 attacks but there is a lack of equality
seen in the Sikh diaspora itself. For example many of the Sikhs still believe in the caste system.
This is especially seen in marriage. A lot of the parents will only allow their children to marry
within their own caste. This goes against Guru Nanak and the Sikh religion as a whole because it
erases the platform of all being

In our case, our client s warnings about raw foods were displaced and were not visible to

decision in Jarrell, there are two prongs for adequate warning. The first prong is intensity, which
in this case means a visible sign. In her restaurant, our client had two warnings. One was placed on
the menu and the other was the 3 x 5 cards on the tables, interview 2: 21, which could have been
sufficient to heighten the warning and mitigate the harm. The second prong is that those warnings
should cause the reasonable person to be aware of the possible danger. I would argue that our client

How Is Mark Osborne More Essay
Belonging is defined as the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of understanding,
inclusion and identity to a member trying to fit into a certain group and place. It is a perception of
acceptance.
The short film by Mark Osborne, More, was released in 1998. The short film features a scrawny
gray creature in it s everyday working life. He is unhappy but gains the strength to keep going by
his childhood memories. He works hard to invent a the machine that changes everyone s dull and
negative life by changing their perspective into a more positive light. He successfully creates the
invention, but in the end is still unhappy and still looks back to the happiness he felt as a child.
The short film shows that when a sense of belonging ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The repetition of something can develop an attachment. The Imagery of the poem And when the

their departure, which only develops when there were previous occurrences .
The line: Bottling set.. Never unpacked reflects a fatalistic acceptance of instability and
unpredictability. This shows that they have had no choice but to acceptthe decision of leaving their
place of belonging. And the narrative shows that the poem is easily distinguished from the 3rd
point of view narrative, which shows the detached connection between the author and his subjects,
which therefore, proves a lack of belonging.
This poem is relatable to Skrzynecki s Migrant Hostel , mainly due to the instability of shelter. The
characters in both texts are unaware of their future, In Donald Bruce Dawe s poem, both texts show
the inconstancy and disorderly plan for the future show how unstable their life is.

Stereotypes and Stereotyping of Native Americans in The...
The Last of the Mohicans and Stereotyped Native Americans
[1] Native Americans were part of this country long before our founding forefathers. They were the
people that Christopher Columbus found inhabiting this land. There is even evidence to show that
they have been on the American continents for thousands and even tens of thousands of years. Yet,
somehow the European powers dominated these people, forcing them from their land to make it
ours. In the early part of the twentieth century, a new industry began to develop; we call it the film
industry. Along with the industry came movies that were made and are still made for the
amusement of a mass audience. Some flaws did come with this industry, and among them was the

Filmmakers showed what they felt had already been conventional to their beliefs about Native
Americans. In the film The Last of the Mohicans (1920) these two contrasting roles of Native
Americans dominate most of the plot. The fiend is Magua, and the noble savage is Uncas. These
two roles that are shown of Native Americans have some historical ground, but what makes one
side good and the other bad? Is it because that is how society wants to see them? And does the
director s representation of the two sides gain them acceptance in American culture? In the history
of America, Native Americantribes often became associated with similar tribes with similar
beliefs. This is true of the two tribes in The Last of the Mohicans. The Huron, who according to
the historical events of Fort William Henry are the Iroquois and the Mohicans are historically
associated with the Delaware. The Huron in the various versions of The Last of the Mohicans,

of the British. The Mohicans, historically come to represent the noble Delaware, who were allied to
the British. These tribes get grouped together, the Huron [became] condensed into the same entity
as Maquas, Mingoes and Mohawks and contrasted with the superior virtue of the Delawares and
Mohicans (Clark 122). These tribes were constantly intermixed

Short Story Of Jacoma Portman
Jacob Portman s grandpa was probably the most interesting person in his life. Grandpa Portman
would always regale Jacob with stories about his life in an orphanage. However, that wasn t the
most interesting part. This orphanage was home to many peculiar children. Some of these
children could lift massive boulders, while others could fly, make instant fireballs, or were even
invisible. Grandpa Portman stated that with the help of all these peculiar children, they would
defeat monsters. For a six year old, these stories sounded pretty believable, especially because
Grandpa Portman had photos. However, as he grew older, Jacob stopped believing these far
fetched tales. The photos were obviously some kind of photoshop and according to Jacob s dad,
the monsters were people that took all of his family s lives. One day Grandpa Portman starts
acting all weird. He thinks that the monsters are coming for him again and all he has left to
defend himself against the monsters is a box cutter. As Jacob visits to check up on him, his
grandpa was not lying. He was standing face to face with a monster that killed Grandpa
Portman. As the monster disappears, Grandpa Portman is left dying only before muttering his
last words. Nobody believes Jacob when he says that he saw a monster, of course. Jacob then
decides to go to Cairnholm, a small island where Grandpa Portman s orphanage is located. Jacob
believes going to the orphanage will help him make sense of the monster he saw and his grandpa s

How Technology Is Affecting Families
October 13, 2015 my group class and I went to Galleria to observe the people. After watching
several families I came to the conclusion that technology is affecting families, during the
observation families were more on their cell phones stead of having a conversation with their
families. The family look as if they were stranger. They look with a very serious look. They did
not take the time to have a conversation. One of the kid was in his phone most of the time when he
was with his family. I was surprise because the parents did not said anything not even the parents
took time to ask or said anything. The table was in silent they just were looking around. Is very hard
to understand that the family that I observe did not make no connection. It was not the only family
that didn t not have not communication there was few more. My motheris a very old schoolwhen we
are with the family she doesn t want us in the phones or computers she said that family time is
family time. I think that my mom is right because most of the time we work and go to school.
Most of the family don t have the time to have a conversation with their families for the same
reason because everyone is busy with work.

not know about the true expenditures and process that was involved to get their bills passed. The

is right about not placing rigid limitations on interest groups as it has placed on individuals
because if those limitations are lifted from the individuals and they have same power as the
interest groups, they will be too many bills demanding their own benefit. In my opinion, the
collective influence of interest groups does override the ability to influence politics as some
citizens may fall into leader s false promises and act for their individual needs but the collective
has a major influence as citizens expect their need to be taken care of. The NARAL (National

Maslow s Hierarchy Of Needs Essay
In social work, leaders are in charge of motivating their employees to perform their jobs to the best
of their abilities. Sometimes leaders must apply a motivation or leadership theory in order to
motivate their employees. (Fisher, 2009)
Motivational theories are important for leaders in social worker. One of the most important tasks of
a leader is to stimulate productivity among employees. This requires motivation. Employees work
in the social work field for a variety of reasons. Therefore, it is important for leaders to
understand what motivates employees. The three main motivational theories include Maslow s
Hierarchy of Needs, Hertzberg s Two Factors and Motivator Hygiene Theory, and McClelland s
Trichotomy of Needs. (Fisher, 2009) Leaders can use Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs to motivate
employees. The motivational needs in this theory form a pyramid. Leaders must recognize that
employees may be on different levels of needs from one another. The needs at the bottom of the
pyramid must be met before the needs at the higher levels. In order for this theory to work,
leaders must identify the level of need that each employee is currently facing. The first level of
needs is the physiological level. This level has motivators of food, shelter, and clothing. The second
level of needs is security. Leaders can provide this level of need by ensuring job security. The third
level of needs is social needs. Leaders can provide this level of need by helping the

The Psychological Side Of The Injury
Personal
It is widely an accepted belief that sports are ninety percent mental and ten percent physical so
when an injury occurs it is just as equal in importance to be aware of the psychological side of the
injury as well as the physical injury. Athletes around the world know not only the physical pain, but
the emotional toll injury places on a person who is sought after to perform their best day in and
day out. Small injuries that lower one s top performance ability, big injuries that force cease of
play for any amount of time, as well as chronic injuries that consistently keep coming back and
influence performance ability for a long time all effect people mentally negatively; some rise
above and some do not. Staying mentally strong during a time of injury is difficult and just as in
any difficult situation people respond differently. Knowing the ways that are typical in response to
an injury and being able to apply positive traits can provide for a much healthier, better, and in
some cases faster recovery.
I have always been prone to injury and had to deal with them consistently while growing up
playing sports. My dad has likewise always been my coach and it has been instilled in me since I
was young that the tough play through the pain. Playing through pain puts your mental toughness
on display. My psychological response to injuries when I was younger was looking for someone to

  • 2. The Theological Concept Of The Divine Mother Essay Debates on the theological concept of the Divine Mother The 20th century feminist criticism of the systems of re presentation have attempted to expose the system of power that authorises certain representations while blocking, prohibiting, or invalidating others .83 Corrington further evaluates that if this is true for modes of expressing concepts in general, it is even more true for modes of expressing religious concepts .84 Moreover, summarising Ochshorn s argument for the expression of such concepts in monotheistic religions, Corrington states that the limitation of a deity to a single dynamic personality entailed the assignment to that persona of a gender that was perceived as the least limited in its socio biological role .85 Such expression is seen in early Christianity, when Jesus as the incarnation of God has become a crucial model for the saviour of the human race.86 In the work of Ruether who argues for misappropriation of the saviour figure in the early Christian thought, the discussion on such gender limitation takes the most dramatic turn: Who is this saviour, and from what does he save us? To most of my peers, it is. However, I have always preferred to enjoy my time having somebody else take care of my transportation. As I ve grown older, I couldn t help but notice more and more downfalls to driving. One particular experience with my uncle and two of my cousins stands out more than the rest. I will admit I should have expected something to go wrong while my uncle was driving; I had heard about his tendency to become distracted and his occasional wrecks before. However, none of that knowledge was going through my mind as I jumped in his car for a quick trip to his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Virtual team members have to be more self motivated and disciplined in their assigned work and they must be proficient in using variety of tech tools in order to accomplish their task (Settle Murphy, 2009). Likewise, Virtual team members have to have the ability to manage their time effectively and those who can understand that how much time they need to get their task done are usually far more productive which in turns contribute to the success of virtual team. Moreover, communication effectiveness and stimulating work are the two vital features of actuating the success or failure of virtual teams; for instance, team members should know what to communicate, how and when and the whole communication process should be concise and lucid to avoid any misinterpretation (Nelson Quick, 2013, p. 348). IKEA wants its coworkers to feel important so that they will be able to express their ideas and feel responsible for improving the way things are done (Larsson, Brousseau, Driver, Holmqvist Tarnovskaya, 2003). The store manager suggested that they be allowed to go into the warehouse to pick up their purchases. The result was so successful that future warehouses were designed to allow self selection by customers, resulting in cost savings and faster service (Bartlett Nanda, 1996). Because it had such a strong and unique culture, IKEA preferred not to recruit those who had already been immersed in another cultural stream. Nor was higher education necessary or even advantageous in IKEA. The Stockholm raised, highly educated, status oriented individuals often find it difficult to adjust to the culture of the company , remarked one executive. Younger, more open recruits not only keep costs low, but they also absorb and amplify the enthusiasm of the company. We can develop them quickly by delegating responsibilities early, rotating them frequently, and offering rapid promotions to the high performers (Bartlett Nanda, 1996). Organizational Strategy For A Successful Business A successful business is made up of various parts so it is imperative that managers develop the right mix of objectives and personnel if they want to have a fighting chance to survive in today s global economy. An up and coming business starts with strategic, operational and tactical plans developed by top executives and other managers. These plans define what the company will accomplish and how they are going to achieve it. Effective leaders know a plan is only as strong as the people they have to do the work. Bosses cannot be the worker, front line supervisor and senior managementall at once. They have to rely on their workforce to get the job done. Managers establish a business plan and then, they turn their focus on the resources required to realize their goals. The most critical resource is their labor force. Organizational strategy is only effective if managers develop a human resourcesplan that specifies the appropriate manpower needed to run an effective business. An organizational plan defines the purpose of a company, but a business is lifeless without its people. In order to hire, train, and promote a quality talent pool, managers in a large firm will turn to a Human Resource manager or personnel manager to find potential candidates (Plunkett, Allen Attner, 2013). They were attempting to drive all foreigners out and away from China, fearing that they would transform traditional ways of the Chinese culture. This event would prove to be a detriment to both the people of China, as well as the country of China as a whole, costing them large amounts of money, losing thousands of innocent people, and hurting their reputation. Not only was China affected by this issue, but countries including America, England, Russia, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and Japan were called for, and aided in China s cry for help. This is important because China would later have to pay each these countries back for all of their help, which was not a cheap cost to pay. Importance of this event will be shown through the rise of the Boxer Rebellion along with what occurred during the rebellion, the many effects the rebellion had both the people of China, and as a country, and the non justification of the Boxer Rebellion, despite it having such a large impact on China. The oxidation reaction between cyclohexanol and sulfuric acid was successful in that it did in fact yield the adipic acid product but unsuccessful in the amount that was yielded, with a percent yield of only 35.0%. This yield may have been low due to both experimental and technical errors. One of the major causes of the low yield most likely had to do with the fact that the temperature went below 55.00C and above 65.00C during certain points of the reaction. When the reaction temperature goes above 65.00C, it causes the yield of adipic acid to be lower due to further oxidation. When the reaction temperature goes below 55.00C, it causes the yield of adipic acid to be lower due to the fact that the amount of energy is not high enough to activate oxidation of the reaction. Some of the product also most likely was lost during both the crystallization and recrystallization process. The Last of the Mohicans and Stereotyped Native Americans [1] Native Americans were part of this country long before our founding forefathers. They were the people that Christopher Columbus found inhabiting this land. There is even evidence to show that they have been on the American continents for thousands and even tens of thousands of years. Yet, somehow the European powers dominated these people, forcing them from their land to make it ours. In the early part of the twentieth century, a new industry began to develop; we call it the film industry. Along with the industry came movies that were made and are still made for the amusement of a mass audience. Some flaws did come with this industry, and among them was the ... In the film The Last of the Mohicans (1920) these two contrasting roles of Native Americans dominate most of the plot. The fiend is Magua, and the noble savage is Uncas. These two roles that are shown of Native Americans have some historical ground, but what makes one side good and the other bad? Is it because that is how society wants to see them? And does the director s representation of the two sides gain them acceptance in American culture? In the history of America, Native Americantribes often became associated with similar tribes with similar beliefs. This is true of the two tribes in The Last of the Mohicans. The Huron, who according to the historical events of Fort William Henry are the Iroquois and the Mohicans are historically associated with the Delaware. The Huron in the various versions of The Last of the Mohicans, come to represent the Iroquois who were allied with the French, and were seen as evil in the eyes of the British. The Mohicans, historically come to represent the noble Delaware, who were allied to the British. These tribes get grouped together, the Huron [became] condensed into the same entity as Maquas, Mingoes and Mohawks and contrasted with the superior virtue of the Delawares and Mohicans (Clark 122). • 32. Short Story Of Jacoma Portman Jacob Portman s grandpa was probably the most interesting person in his life. Grandpa Portman would always regale Jacob with stories about his life in an orphanage. However, that wasn t the most interesting part. This orphanage was home to many peculiar children. Some of these children could lift massive boulders, while others could fly, make instant fireballs, or were even invisible. Grandpa Portman stated that with the help of all these peculiar children, they would defeat monsters. For a six year old, these stories sounded pretty believable, especially because Grandpa Portman had photos. However, as he grew older, Jacob stopped believing these far fetched tales. The photos were obviously some kind of photoshop and according to Jacob s dad, the monsters were people that took all of his family s lives. One day Grandpa Portman starts acting all weird. He thinks that the monsters are coming for him again and all he has left to defend himself against the monsters is a box cutter. As Jacob visits to check up on him, his grandpa was not lying. He was standing face to face with a monster that killed Grandpa Portman. As the monster disappears, Grandpa Portman is left dying only before muttering his last words. Nobody believes Jacob when he says that he saw a monster, of course. Jacob then decides to go to Cairnholm, a small island where Grandpa Portman s orphanage is located. Jacob believes going to the orphanage will help him make sense of the monster he saw and his grandpa s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After watching several families I came to the conclusion that technology is affecting families, during the observation families were more on their cell phones stead of having a conversation with their families. The family look as if they were stranger. They look with a very serious look. They did not take the time to have a conversation. One of the kid was in his phone most of the time when he was with his family. I was surprise because the parents did not said anything not even the parents took time to ask or said anything. The table was in silent they just were looking around. Is very hard to understand that the family that I observe did not make no connection. It was not the only family that didn t not have not communication there was few more. My motheris a very old schoolwhen we are with the family she doesn t want us in the phones or computers she said that family time is family time. I think that my mom is right because most of the time we work and go to school. Most of the family don t have the time to have a conversation with their families for the same reason because everyone is busy with work. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is true that they represent a large influential society but that does not mean that people should not know about the true expenditures and process that was involved to get their bills passed. The government should definitely do something to make the transactions transparent. The government is right about not placing rigid limitations on interest groups as it has placed on individuals because if those limitations are lifted from the individuals and they have same power as the interest groups, they will be too many bills demanding their own benefit. In my opinion, the collective influence of interest groups does override the ability to influence politics as some citizens may fall into leader s false promises and act for their individual needs but the collective has a major influence as citizens expect their need to be taken care of. • 38. Maslow s Hierarchy Of Needs Essay In social work, leaders are in charge of motivating their employees to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities. Sometimes leaders must apply a motivation or leadership theory in order to motivate their employees. (Fisher, 2009) Motivational theories are important for leaders in social worker. One of the most important tasks of a leader is to stimulate productivity among employees. This requires motivation. Employees work in the social work field for a variety of reasons. Therefore, it is important for leaders to understand what motivates employees. The three main motivational theories include Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs, Hertzberg s Two Factors and Motivator Hygiene Theory, and McClelland s Trichotomy of Needs. (Fisher, 2009) Leaders can use Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs to motivate employees. The motivational needs in this theory form a pyramid. Leaders must recognize that employees may be on different levels of needs from one another. The needs at the bottom of the pyramid must be met before the needs at the higher levels. In order for this theory to work, leaders must identify the level of need that each employee is currently facing. The first level of needs is the physiological level. This level has motivators of food, shelter, and clothing. The second level of needs is security. Leaders can provide this level of need by ensuring job security. The third level of needs is social needs. Leaders can provide this level of need by helping the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. The Psychological Side Of The Injury Personal It is widely an accepted belief that sports are ninety percent mental and ten percent physical so when an injury occurs it is just as equal in importance to be aware of the psychological side of the injury as well as the physical injury. Athletes around the world know not only the physical pain, but the emotional toll injury places on a person who is sought after to perform their best day in and day out. Small injuries that lower one s top performance ability, big injuries that force cease of play for any amount of time, as well as chronic injuries that consistently keep coming back and influence performance ability for a long time all effect people mentally negatively; some rise above and some do not. Staying mentally strong during a time of injury is difficult and just as in any difficult situation people respond differently. Knowing the ways that are typical in response to an injury and being able to apply positive traits can provide for a much healthier, better, and in some cases faster recovery. I have always been prone to injury and had to deal with them consistently while growing up playing sports.
