■ Rohtas Fort (Jhelum, Pakistan) is one of the most beautiful
and historical place located in Punjab
■ It was built by the King Farid Khan (famous as Sheer shah
Suri) in 16th century
■ It is one of the most impressive historical monuments in
Pakistan
■ Most tourists come here for the architecture and the Jeep rally
that takes place every year.
 Situated in the Dadu district
 This hill station is a favorite picnic spot in the summers.
 It receives snowfall in winters, needless to say, the
temperature is strikingly different from the rest of the
province
 Pakistan’s famous places list cannot be completed
without this Hill station.
■ Another tourist attraction in Pakistan, World’s
deepest natural seaport Gwadar.
■ The port and C-pack is opening door to various
opportunities and development for the residents
of Baluchistan and Pakistan.
■ The place is developing rapidly and it is safe to
visit.
■ The largest national park of the Pakistan Hingol national park is spread across
the area of 1650 km square along with the coast of Makran.
■ This Pakistan tourist attraction is home to many threatened species of
invertebrate and animals like
– Crocodile, Sindh leopard, Ibex, Chinkara, schools of plumbeous Dolphins,
green turtles, golden eagle, and much more

Park.

Khunjerab Pass
 Greatest wonder of the modern world
The Karakoram Highway tourist attractions
are worldly known and there is no other
highway in the world crowned with such rich
attractions.
 The Khunjerab top is also named as Zero
Point between Pakistan and China.
■ kallar Kahar is situated 25km from the city of Chakwal, in District Chakwal of
province Punjab, Pakistan
■ famous for its natural gardens which are full of colorful flower and plants.
■ reason for Kallar Kahar to be famous among tourists. It is a salt water lake
■ People enjoy pedal boating and motor boating on the lake.
K2 mountain
■ Known as the king of north Pakistan
■ K2 is the second highest mountain in the world
■ K2 is known as the Savage Mountain due to the difficulty of ascent and the second-
highest fatality rate among the "eight thousands" for those who climb it.
■ K2 is so dangerous to climb, no one has attempted to climb it in the winter.
■ The weather is pretty much unpredictable, which adds to the difficulty.
■ K2, one of the most majestic mountains in the world.
Anso lake
■ Ansoo Lake from a distant place it appears as a droplet of the tear
■ Wider rim at one side and thinner on the other.
■ From the time it was discovered, it has been the favorite place of tourists from all over
the world.
■ Only lucky ones happen to see this lake.
■ After hours of difficult trekking, sometimes the lake gets covered inside fog and
blocks the view.
■ So, it is said that only lucky ones can see this lake.
Economic aspects of tourism
According to the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report2017
released by the World Economic Forum,
 the direct contribution of travel and tourism to Pakistan's GDP in
2015 was US$328.3 million, constituting 2.8% of the total GDP
According to the World Travel and Tourism Council
 the direct contribution of travel and tourism to Pakistan's GDP in
2016 was US$7.6 billion (PKR 793.0 billion), constituting 2.7% of
the total GDP
 By 2025, the government predicts tourism will contribute ₨1
trillion (US$6.0 billion) to the Pakistani economy
Economic importance of tourism
According to the World Tourism Organisation,
– the direct contribution of Travel & Tourism to GDP in 2018 was
$2,750.7billion (3.2% of GDP).
– This is forecast to rise by 3.6% to $2,849.2billion in 2019.
– Indirect contributions come from goods and services supplied to
tourists which are not directly related to the tourism industry.
