Different people mean it differently.
An activity that comprises uncertainty, thrill, unusualness,
enthusiastic and exciting experience.
An outdoor leisure activity that takes place in an unusual,
exotic, remote or wilderness destination, involves some form of
unconventional means of transportation and tends to be
associated with low or high levels of activity.

7. Kayaking is the use of a kayak for moving across
water. Kayaking is generally differentiated from
canoeing by the sitting position of the paddler and the
number of blades on the paddle.

apparatus) is a form of underwater diving in which a diver
uses a scuba set to breathe underwater for recreation,
commercial or industrial reasons.

competitive flying sport. A
paraglide is a free-flying, foot-
launched aircraft. The pilot sits in
a harness suspended below a
fabric wing, whose shape is
formed by its suspension lines
and the pressure of air entering

is the action of performing acrobatics
during free-fall, followed by deployment
of a parachute.
15. Parasailing, also known as parascending, is a recreational
activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat)
while attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail.
The boat then drives off, carrying the parascender into the air. If the
boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at
the same time. The parascender has little or no control over the
parachute.

involves jumping from a tall structure
while connected to a large elastic
cord. The tall structure is usually a
fixed object, such as a building, bridge
or crane; but it is also possible to
jump from a movable object, such as
a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that

18. Mountaineering or mountain climbing is the sport, hobby or profession of hiking,
skiing, and climbing mountains. While mountaineering began as attempts to reach the
highest point of unclimbed mountains, it has branched into specializations that address
different aspects of the mountain and consists of three areas: rock-craft, snow-craft
and skiing, depending on whether the route chosen is over rock, snow or ice.

Trekking –
This region houses over 220 trials for trekking
and natural trails. This is, indeed, a hot favorite of
the tourists in Karnataka.

For water zorbing “still water” is preferred as the waves
tend to pull zorb in. On still water, we can walk on water.
There are five destinations offering zorbing Bheemeshwari
fishing camp 100kms from Bangalore, Galibore ,
Kali(Dandeli), Dubare (Kodagu) and Sita (Udupi)

Another Exciting sport is High rope Traversing, which can
be done in different ways like crossing a river this can be done
by tying a rope horizontally between two fixed points. In river
crossing,one end of the rope will be anchored to an anchoring
point on one bank and the other end is anchored to.

There is plenty of opportunities for those who wish to
do parasailing in Bangalore. There are two kinds of
parasailing one is aquatic and the other one is terrestrial
aquatic is not possible in Bangalore as there are no water
bodies. However, terrestrial parasailing is organized
throughout the year except in monsoon season.
31. White Water Rafting
White Water rafting is gradually becoming a more
and more popular adventure sport probably due to the
comfortable facilities offered. At the end of a day long
adventure trip, you are provided with the most
luxurious hotel accommodations. Regions like
Sitanadi,Kemphole,Netravati, Honnemaradu, Dandeli,
Marawanthe beach Karwar and Devbagh.
32. Rock Climbing
Rock climbing is another popular adventure
sports in Karnataka. Ramanagaram 50 kms from
bangalore is a favorite destination for rock climbers.
The rocks are challenging and is considered as the
Mecca of rock climbing. The place abounds in rock
formations, that are a climber’s delight.

Karnataka’s geography provides a vast spectrum of
diverse attractions, giving adventure lovers all possible
kinds of terrain except snow-clad mountains. The
jagged coastline, islands, Western Ghats with peaks and
incredible craggy formations, jungles, expansive water
bodies and many rivers that crisscross the State make it
a haven for adventure sports and othe outdoor
activities.

of the Kali river at Dandeli is an experience so far
unavailable this side of the Ganga.

Ramnagar, 50km from Bangalore on the Bangalore-
Mysore highway, is a climber's delight.

environments lush tropical forests, hills, caves, rivers
and waterfalls, Karnataka is a trekker's paradise.
Angling: The Mahseer, Asia's premier sporting fish is
the pride and joy of the Cauvery

35. Yana: The gigantic rock formations of Yana stand tall
among the forests of the Western Ghats in Uttara
Kannada district, providing unique experiences for
trekkers and climbers.
Bird watching: The Western Ghats, home to the
Malabar whistling thrush, the Malabar trogon,
imperial pigeon, ruby throated bulbul and shama that
rule the lush evergreen forests and the Ranga.

36. The Karnataka Tourism Department is planning to
introduce a night safari facility on 180 acres in
Bannerghatta Park in Bangalore.

facilities for tourists wishing to do the adventure trail

attractions that draw tourists from all over the world.The
fun it gives is beyond imagination and that’s why the
number of people opting for this adventure sports is
increasing by leaps and bounds in Karnataka.
You have endless trekking options in the Karnataka
hills and lots of white water rafting opportunities in the
Kali river. Wildlife here is rich too and tourists are crazy
about the Bheemeshwari, Bandipur, Nagarhole
sanctuaries. It has several weekend getaway options as
