It outlines the objectives of studying factors like transportation, communication, travel assistance, environment, urban infrastructure and safety. The methodology included a survey of 100 tourists. Key findings were that connectivity between sites, internet use, maps, and signage most influenced tourists. Traffic congestion and pollution prevention needed most improvement. Younger tourists preferred adventure tourism while older tourists favored pilgrimage sites. The study concluded that infrastructure mostly met expectations but some factors like traffic, pollution and safety required more focus.

From chi square table at α = 5%, 16 degrees of freedom
χ² Tabulated Value = 26.29
As χ² Calculated Value (62.276) is greater than χ² Tabulated Value (26.29), so
we have to reject H0 and accept H1.

38. § Tourists were neutrally satisfied towards traffic congestion.
§ The factor role of internet in choosing the destination is been at the satisfaction
level of the tourists.
§ Availability of trained tourists guides is less influenced by the tourists
§ Preserving natural environment from pollution is the factor which was neutrally
satisfied by the tourists
§ Behavior of tourist guides also was neutrally satisfied by the tourists.
§ It was observed that the age and purpose of visit has significant relation because
tourists will go for different types of tourism based on their age.
§ It was observed that availability of hired vehicles may not affect the purpose of
visit of the tourists.
FINDINGS
39. Influencing factors:
The factors which are most influenced by the tourists during their
travel are as follows:
Connectivity between main gateway centers to tourist sites
Role of internet in choosing the destination
Contents of map are sufficient
Usefulness of signage boards at the tourist sites
FINDINGS (cont..)
40. Traffic Congestion can be reduced at the tourist sites by providing more parking
facilities so that queuing of vehicles for parking may be gradually decreased and
hence congestion of traffic may also be reduced.
Government should take necessary actions to avoid using of plastic bags and traffic
congestion to control pollution in the tourist places.
Most of the tourists are not opting for tourist information centers since they are
getting all the necessary details from internet. Though department of tourism has to
come up with new mobile apps under the name of tourist information center for
Tamil Nadu then it is obvious that tourists will use this app frequently when they
travel to Tamil Nadu wherein tourists can get all information about the destinations
in a single mobile app.
Tourists are not feeling safety because of local people community and the behavior of
tourist guides. The safety measures must be improved by the government and
department of tourism for the welfare of the tourists.
SUGGESTIONS
41. The objective of the research is fulfilled. From this study researcher came to know that
the tourists are satisfied with the infrastructure facilities and also fulfills their
expectation level
But then there are certain issues faced by the tourists from the following six parameters
such as road transportation, communication, travel assistance, environment, urban
infrastructure, safety of stay & travel.
The factors which are ought to be concentrated by the department of tourism are Traffic
Congestion, preserving natural destination from pollution, sewage and drainage system,
behavior of local people as well as tourist guides . Since these were all the factors
wherein tourists satisfaction level found to be neutral.
CONCLUSION
