Discussion 1 Week 2
Prior to beginning work on this discussion, Review Chapter 4: Social and Cultural Environments, Chapter 5: The Political, Legal, and Regulatory Environments, Chapter 6: Global Information Systems and Market Research and browse through all three categories in Procter & Gamble’s Brands (Links to an external site.) web page.
Part 1: Surviving Global Environments
Assume you are the global marketing VP of Coca-Cola or Pepsi-Cola, two highly successful global brands. Select one of the two companies and a country to operate in. The following videos will help you to gain some insight on the companies. You will be referring to your required readings to answer the discussion questions listed below.
Coca-Cola
PepsiCo
Davos 2011 - Muhtar Kent, CEO, Coca-Cola (Links to an external site.)
SuccessStory: PepsiCo (Links to an external site.)
Address the following questions and support your answers using theories discussed in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 of your text. Explain the country’s society and their culture. What are the differences and similarities of their culture to the culture of the United States?
a. Determine what social, cultural, political or legal/regulatory characteristics you would need to take advantage of to avoid unneeded and costly adaptations of the marketing mix. Using examples, what theories in Chapter 4 support your conclusions?
b. Create a short SWOT analysis and list three key points in each area of your SWOT that you believe are most important to understand and recognize for successfully sustaining your brand and business in that country. Focus primarily on global environment criteria related to your company (i.e., economic, trade, social and cultural, political, legal, and regulatory environments).
Part 2: Defining the Market Research Process
Although we may be very familiar with Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) many brands, there are still some opportunities for P&G to expand throughout the world where their brands are not yet well known.
· Select one P&G brand that would potentially face a latent market in a certain country, region, or local area around the globe.
· Discuss your rationale for choosing the brand and how it falls under this category.
· Choose three analytical techniques employed by global marketers.
· Summar ...

Chapter Five – Assessing the Company Itself
In Chapter Five we are introduced to a very important tool in business, referred to as the SWOT analysis. SWOT stands for strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats. A SWOT analysis looks at both internal and external aspects. The strengths and weaknesses will apply to the internal part of the organization, whereas the opportunities and threats apply to the external part of the organization. One may use a SWOT analysis as a tool to look at the current situation of a company and evaluate the possibilities in forecasting the future. According to Goodrich (2013), “the SWOT analysis enables companies to identify the positive and negative influencing factors inside and outside of a company or organization” (Para 5). Below is a brief review of how to conduct a SWOT analysis.
· Strength – First, the company must identify what they are doing right. What is working for the company and helping the organization to meet its goals.
· Weakness – Second, the company needs to identify what areas need improvement. The ultimate goal is to take a weakness and turn it into a strength.
· Opportunities – Third, the organization needs to identify what opportunities are available that would help the company. As stated before, this typically comes from outside the company. It is an external element in which the company is seeking opportunities to help the business. This could entail working with new vendors, using new software, or expanding into new markets.
· Threats – Finally, the company must be aware of the threats that are out there. Threats are not the same as weakness, as many often confuse the two. A threat is something the company has no control over, but is aware it is there. For example, competition is a threat. A company cannot control what their competitors do, but need to be aware of them. Another threat could be a natural disaster. One can prepare with insurance, but you have no control over that. Another example might be economical situations in which the market shifts; again, there is little a company can do about this. All of these factors and many others can threaten a company. When it comes to threats, you cannot control them, but can have a ...

Best used for
Scholarly
A source written by scholars or academics in a field. The purpose of many scholarly sources is to report on original research or experimentation in order to make such information available to the rest of the scholarly community. The audience for scholarly sources is other scholars or experts in a field. Scholarly sources include references and usually use language that is technical or at a high reading level.
*Note: Different databases may define “scholarly” in slightly different ways, and thus a source that is considered “scholarly” in one database may not be considered “scholarly” in another database. The final decision about the appropriateness of a given source for a particular assignment is left to the instructor.
Scholarly Journals

Peer Reviewed
A publication that has gone through an official editorial process that involves review and approval by the author’s peers (experts in the same subject area). Many (but not all) scholarly publications are peer reviewed.
*Note: even though a journal is peer reviewed, some types of articles within that journal may not be peer reviewed. These might include editorials or book reviews.
**Note: some publications (such as some trade journals) can be peer reviewed but not scholarly. This is not common.

Problem StatementWith operations in more than 160 countries and r.docxwkyra78
Problem Statement:With operations in more than 160 countries and regions worldwide, 340,000 employees, and $17.9 billion in annual profits - Toyota Motor Corp has been referred to as the gold standard of the automotive industry. Toyota reached success in part because of its exceptional reputation for quality and customer care. In total contrast, Toyota embodies a culture of smug, insular arrogance unable to properly handle a recall crisis. The general problem and focus of the current case study is Toyota's arrogant organizational culture and structure of denial. The goal of this study is to examine characteristics of organizational culture as it relates to crisis management.
Research Questions:
1) What is the relationship between organizational culture and ethics?
2) Compare and contrast the transparency, efficiency, and consumer trust issues of GM and Toyota.
3) How do organizational structures and models differ in contrast to Toyota's?
4) What are the behavioral implications of culture and conflict?
These questions are only food for thought. You can change these or add more. The goal is to stay consistent in research tone and focus to the research problem noted above.
SUB-HEADERS: Not limited to, your literature review MUST cross-reference and integrate a discussion on elements of the case and the following topics: (1) Organizational Culture, (2) Organization Structure, (3) Leadership, (4) Ethics, (5) Understanding Work Teams, & (6) Conflict and Negotiation. YOU MUST DISCUSS THE PROS AND CONS OF EACH. Research cannot be one-sided or it is not valid and reliable.
My Parts
Literature Review
You must address at least six scholarly resources in this section. Approach this section as a mini "book report" on each of the reference sources that significantly informed your analysis and proposed solutions. Give the reader an encapsulated review of what information you found most relevant to your research. You may have found conflicting opinions/theories related to your topic area. Identify and discuss any such contrasts and/or describe in detail significant agreement among your sources. Your literature review should be separate and distinct from your analysis section; it is a summation of your research.
Solution
s
Identify at least three potential workable solutions to your problem and identify the pros and cons of each alternative solution and its high-level implementation steps.
Identify your preferred solution and describe exactly what should be done and how it should be done, including by whom, with whom, and in what sequence. Always explain your thinking behind your final solution set. It's important to be clear about why a particular alternative (solution) was chosen, as opposed to others.
Reflection : Think about this assignment and write a well-thought-out reflective statement about how this assignment influenced your personal, academic, and professional leadership and managerial development.

Econ Questions1. Which do you think is the greater risk for theEvonCanales257
Econ Questions:
1. Which do you think is the greater risk for the U.S. economy in 2022: inflation or deflation? Base your answer on what we’ve discussed in class and your readings, but you may also want to consider this:
2. Many developing nations are not seeing the resurgence in demand that the developed world has in the 2nd half of this year. How feasible would it be for developing nations to maintain current interest rate levels when the rest of the world is raising interest rates to prevent continued increases in the inflation rate?
3. Looking at the chart below, speculate on why Japan’s inflation rate breaks the mold. (I say speculate because no one knows for sure….)
4. Central bank independence is taken for granted in developed nations like those in Western Europe and the U.S., but independent central banks are something of a rarity in developing and emerging market economies. What roles does an independent central bank play in a country’s economic and financial development, and how does the absence of an independent central bank jeopardize economic growth?
5. The Economist writes: “Cash is a safe asset, but a wasting one. The real returns on risky assets have been much greater. True, cash affords options—to buy cheaply when others are selling. But episodes of distressed selling have been fleeting, largely thanks to central banks, which have been liberal in supplying cash in emergencies.” Why are investors willing to incur the opportunity cost of holding cash in the face of current outsized returns in the equity and bond markets?
6. What does the risk structure of interest rates measure? Is the current structure of U.S. rates consistent with your impressions of the health of the US economy and the corporate and housing sectors? Give specific examples.
7. The global investment bank ING has released its forecast of when the major central banks will change their interest rates in 2022. Answer the following questions based on their forecast:
a. Would you expect the dollar to be strengthening against the British pound in the first quarter of 2022?
b. Would you expect the euro to strengthen or weaken against the Swedish krone in 2022? When?
c. Which two currencies are most likely to move in lockstep in 2022?
d. Which country is likely to have the strongest currency at the end of 2023?
8. The U.S. financial system boasts very liquid and efficient markets where financial assets are bought and sold. The U.S. also has a very large number of banks. Other developed nations, like France, Japan or Germany, have few banks even fewer financial markets. What are the pros and cons of the two different approaches?

PHI 2604 CREATING YOUR OUTLINE
A good practice before you write your paper is to create an outline. This should include 1) your thesis statement (main argument), 2) an outline and 3) a works cited page.
Follow the MLA style unless otherwise clarified with the professor.
The outline should be more detailed than just noting a) Introduction, b) argument, c) conclusion. This is too superficial to be helpful for you. Instead consider the main concepts that you will explain, or the main argument you will make and how each of the elements of the paper fit together.
In developing your outline, it may be helpful to keep the following in mind regarding philosophy papers:
"A philosophy paper presents a reasoned defense of some thesis. So a philosophy paper typically does at least one of the following:
• Defends a thesis by offering plausible reasons to support it
• Defends a thesis by showing that arguments against it are unconvincing
• Criticizes a thesis by showing that the arguments for it are unconvincing
• Contrasts two or more views on a given issue and argue for one view over the other."

Negative Consequences: Single Use Plastic and Its Detriment to the Greater Good
Environmental pollution is detrimental to non-human well-being and one of the major contributors is the creation of single use plastic, much of which ends up in the oceans. We have all seen the disturbing images of turtles with plastic bags around their necks or whales, sharks and dolphins whose post-mortems reveal stomachs full of plastic debris (Hastings, 209). However, single use plastic is also detrimental to human well-being because, I argue, human health and happiness is only possible within a thriving and healthy environment. In other words, single use plastic is a moral concern. In this paper, I review single use plastic according to the utilitarian principle that we ought “to act according to the greater good for the greater number,” (Bentham, 205) and that we ought to do our utmost to reduce suffering in both human and non-human species. I also consider Bentham’s claim that “one only counts as one” and argue that from a utilitarian perspective, we should dissuade the production of single use plastic.
Outline
I. Thesis (see above)
II. Explanation of plastic pollution and its impact on the oceans and sea life. Include details of human suffering as a “Cascade Effect” of plastic pollution. Include statistics from a valid source and relevant quotes.
III. An explanation of Utilitarianism and how it can be used to argue for the banning of single use plastic. You can explain the framework and how it was developed to guard against ethical egoism and the self-interest of the wealt.

You are to select a multinational corporation - examples include P&G, GE and Lexis-Nexis, which are all local companies within driving distance. Of course, you can also select some other companies to your interest, such as Dow Chemical, McDonalds, Merck, etc. Then you will focus on that company in one overseas country/market. They may or may not already be doing business in that country.
Conduct research by reading their website, their annual report (for international aspects), or other research you can locate. Preface
Teaching strategic management classes can be a very difficult challenge for professors. In most
business schools, strategic management is a “capstone” course that requires students to draw on
insights from various functional courses they have completed (such as marketing, finance, and
accounting) to understand how top executives make the strategic decisions that drive whether
organizations succeed or fail. Many students have very ...

Week Two Lecture
Chapter Three – Strategic Thinking
In Chapter Three the focus is on strategic thinking. So often we hear the phrase “think outside the box”. What exactly does that mean? It means to apply strategic thinking. The term strategic thinking is defined as the “process of developing and evaluating every decision and action in light of current and future circumstances, the direction you want to go in and the results you want to achieve” (Sergay Group, 2011, Para3). How many times have you heard an employee say “this is how it’s always been done.” Or perhaps, “Why change what works?” Another example is “Why reinvent the wheel; if it’s working, why change it?” All of these are common lines of wanting to keep things working the same as they always have. However when applying strategic thinking you are aligning not only what is working today, but also assessing what will work tomorrow. This is where the phrase “think outside the box” comes into play. How can one formulate a strategy that will take into account the current and future circumstances without applying strategic thinking? The answer is simple: one can’t, which is why this chapter is so important in terms of strategic planning.
In our readings this week one of the ways to apply strategic thinking is to find a better strategy. How can one go about this? There are multiple ways to achieve this. Our text book outlines three ways which include the following:
· Play a different game
· Be entrepreneurial
· Find more opportunities (Abraham, 2012)
Ultimately it all comes down to identifying what will help you be different from your competitors, what helps you stand out against the rest and how to find your own strategy that works best for your organ ...

You are to select a multinational corporation - examples include P.docxkenjordan97598
You are to identify your sources of information in the form of a bibliography. The paper should be no more than 15 pages, double spaced. Your grade will be based on content and organization of thought, ideas, and structure.
Some of the course assignments are related to this final paper requirement. Therefore, it is OK to draw from the materials you submitted before - the course is designed this way, so you will not be overwhelmed towards the end of the semester. However, your write-up for this final paper is to be cohesive (rather than simply “copy and paste” from your previous assignments). You are to demonstrate your progress of assimilating and synthesizing information through the semester.
Please incorporate the following in your discussion:
1. Organization and product/service analysis
a. Description of the organization
b. Product or services “needs assessment” of the chosen overseas market/country
c. Description of the company’s products or services to meet the need
2. Global strategy formulation
a. Conduct a business risk analysis (associated with the chosen country)
i. Political
ii. Competitive
iii. Cultural

vii. Demographical
b. Compare and contrast the advantages/disadvantages of various modes of entry into the global markets
c. SWOT analysis

One way to improve your verbal communication is to own your thoughts.docxjuliennehar
One way to improve your verbal communication is to own your thoughts and feelings.
You-language
is a way of speaking that projects responsibility onto another person and tends to be judgmental.
I-language
, on the other hand, is a way of speaking that owns responsibility and is descriptive rather than judgmental. Study the following example:
You-language statement
I-language statement
"You make me so mad!"
"I feel very angry when you interrupt me when I'm telling a story."
Complete the following two parts of your written assignment in one Word document. First, show your skill at translating You-language messages into I-language messages. Secondly, apply this skill to your own communication.
Part 1
Translate the following
You-language
statements into
I-language
messages.
Sentences to be translated:
You are so selfish.
You don't understand a word I'm saying.
You are too nosy; mind your own business.
You totally humiliated me in front of our friends.
You never help me around the house.
Part 2
Think of a You-language statement that you find yourself using when you communicate with a friend, family member, spouse, or romantic partner. Compose a paragraph that explains the situation in which you have used this You-language message. Consider how you would translate this You-language statement into an I-language message.

One of the most important functions (protocols) in a packet-switched network is
ROUTING.
An array of routing algorithms have been invented, and many of them implemented.
With respect to routing, the Internet is composed of inter-connected regions called autonomous systems (AS). There are 2 layers of routing in the Internet: interior and exterior routing. An interior routing protocol (IRP) operates within an AS. An exterior routing protocol (ERP) operates between AS's. IRP's and ERP's have evolved. Routing protocols may have serious security vulnerabilities that could potentially be exploited by hackers. CISCO has monopolized the router market, but is facing increasing foreign competition.

One of the very first cases that caught Freud’s attention when he wa.docxjuliennehar
One of the very first cases that caught Freud’s attention when he was starting to develop his psychoanalytic theory was that of Anna O, a patient of fellow psychiatrist Josef Breuer. Although Freud did not directly treat her, he did thoroughly analyze her case as he was fascinated by the fact that her hysteria was “cured” by Breuer. It is her case that he believes was the beginning of the psychoanalytic approach.
Through your analysis of this case, you will not only look deeper into Freud’s psychoanalytic theory but also see how Jung’s neo-psychoanalytic theory compares and contrasts with Freud’s theory.
Review the following:
The Case of Anna O.
One of the first cases that inspired Freud in the development of what would eventually become the Psychoanalytic Theory was the case of Anna O. Anna O. was actually a patient of one of Freud’s colleagues Josef Breuer. Using Breuer’s case notes, Freud was able to analyze the key facts of Anna O’s case.
Anna O. first developed her symptoms while she was taking care of her very ill father with whom she was extremely close. Some of her initial symptoms were loss of appetite to the extent of not eating, weakness, anemia, and development a severe nervous cough. Eventually she developed a severe optic headache and lost the ability to move her head, which then progressed into paralysis of both arms. Her symptoms were not solely physical as she would vacillate between a normal, mental state and a manic-type state in which she would become extremely agitated. There was even a notation of a time for which she hallucinated that the ribbons in her hair were snakes.
Toward the end of her father’s life she stopped speaking her native language of German and instead only spoke in English. A little over a year after she began taking care of her father he passed away. After his passing her symptoms grew to affect her vision, a loss of ability to focus her attention, more extreme hallucinations, and a number of suicidal attempts (Hurst, 1982).
Both Freud and Jung would acknowledge that unconscious processes are at work in this woman's problems. However, they would come to different conclusions about the origin of these problems and the method by which she should be treated.
Research Freud’s and Jung’s theories of personality using your textbook, the Internet, and the Argosy University online library resources. Based on your research, respond to the following:
Compare and contrast Freud's view of the unconscious with Jung's view and apply this case example in your explanations.
On what specific points would they agree and disagree regarding the purpose and manifestation of the unconscious in the case of Anna?
How might they each approach the treatment of Anna? What might be those specific interventions? How might Anna experience these interventions considering her history?

One of the most difficult components of effective management and leadership is uncertainty. Uncertainty exists everywhere in an organization. Each of the four functions of
management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling) is affected by uncertainties that lie within an organization and its operations. However, many uncertainties that affect an
organization are external to the organization itself. These cannot always be controlled, but they must be planned for when possible, and adapted to when planning is not possible.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Part 1: Surviving Global Environments
Assume you are the global marketing VP of Coca-Cola or Pepsi-
Cola, two highly successful global brands. Select one of the two
companies and a country to operate in. The following videos
will help you to gain some insight on the companies. You will
be referring to your required readings to answer the discussion
questions listed below.

SuccessStory: PepsiCo (Links to an external site.)
Address the following questions and support your answers using
theories discussed in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 of your text.
Explain the country’s society and their culture. What are the
differences and similarities of their culture to the culture of the
United States?
a. Determine what social, cultural, political or legal/regulatory
characteristics you would need to take advantage of to avoid
unneeded and costly adaptations of the marketing mix. Using
examples, what theories in Chapter 4 support your conclusions?
b. Create a short SWOT analysis and list three key points in
each area of your SWOT that you believe are most important to
understand and recognize for successfully sustaining your brand
and business in that country. Focus primarily on global
environment criteria related to your company (i.e., economic,
trade, social and cultural, political, legal, and regulatory
environments).
3. Part 2: Defining the Market Research Process
Although we may be very familiar with Procter & Gamble’s
(P&G) many brands, there are still some opportunities for P&G
to expand throughout the world where their brands are not yet
well known.
· Select one P&G brand that would potentially face
a latent market in a certain country, region, or local area around
the globe.
· Discuss your rationale for choosing the brand and how it falls
under this category.
· Choose three analytical techniques employed by global
marketers.
· Summarize each of the techniques and why you think these are
the most beneficial to the global market.
Your initial discussion post should be 250 words. Do not forget
to cite your textbook and any other sources used to support your
ideas. You may refer to Ashford University Writing
Center’s APA Style (Links to an external site.) resource.

6. Discussion 2 Week 2
Prior to beginning work on this discussion, review Chapter 6 of
your text, the article Inside Amazon Go, a Store of the
Future (Links to an external site.), and watch Introducing
Amazon Go and the World’s Most Advanced Shopping
Technology (Links to an external site.).
In your initial post,
· Explain how Amazon Go needs to employ electronic data
interchange (EDI) and efficient consumer response (ECR) to
effectively and efficiently manage its stores.
· Your explanation can be around one specific example of a
grocery item.
· Analyze how Amazon takes advantage of big data analytics
and its advanced customer relationship management (CRM) to
improve employees’ productivity, enhance corporate
profitability, and, above all, create customer loyalty.
· If Amazon Go decides to expand globally and even dominate a
domestic market, would they need to acquire information
through direct perception? Why or why not?
· Take into consideration both the Xbox and TOMs examples in
the text.
Your initial discussion post should be 250 words. You must use
two credible articles to support your analysis. Cite your
textbook and any other sources used to support your ideas. You
may refer to Ashford University Writing Center’s APA
