Daikin Shriram AC appoints Rediff
•DAIKIN Shriram Air Conditioning Ltd (DSAC) has appointed Rediffusion 
DY&R as its advertising agency.
•With an ad-budget of Rs 3 crore, DSAC plans to position its brand as a 
new technology air-conditioner with consumer benefits, according to a 
press release.
•The  company  hopes  to  corner  about  20  per  cent  of  the  premium 
segment  of  the  split  airconditioner.  And  to  achieve  this  target,  the 
company plans to advertise it products both in the print and electronic 
media.
•DSAC is a joint venture between Daikin Industries Ltd and Siel Ltd, a 
Siddharth Shriram Group company. The venture started with an initial 
investment of Rs 19.5o crore in April 2000.
•The company's product range includes the Sky Air range of split and 
duct air conditioners, targeted at residential and commercial segments

 The Best Sales Increase Award recognizes one distributor in each
of five regions who experienced the greatest percentage increase in
overall sales from 2007 through 2008. This year the award winners
were The Wallwork Group in the northeast region, Baker
