KOROVESSI D. BROS Company was established by KOROVESSI
brothers in Vasiliko of Evia Greece. The company is involved in
manufacturing wooden products and specializes in pantograph
router designs.
As the company develops in the domestic market, a decision of
strategic importance is made. The company relocates in 2000 m²
privately-owned premises in the industrial area of Dokos. New
state-of-the art equipment is acquired and the rapid upward
course initiates.
Within the next 5 years the company is met with new in-
creased production requirements hence, new 3000m²
premises are built. New marketing techniques are
adopted and the company invests in its public image, taking
part in exhibitions, both in Greece and abroad. It expands its
customer base successfully, becoming a top firm in Greece,
targeting foreign markets and developing a strong exporting
profile.
As a part of the fast developing pace, the brand
“COVERDOORS” is copyrighted, under which name the
company will become widely known in the field. Using state
of the art CNC equipment and having acquired an EN ISO
9001:2008 certificate, the company now also provides a
certified soundproof door.
Two more options are added in its already wide range of doors, the ar-
mored and the fireproof door. The COVERDOORS® armored door offers
multiple choices of classic and modern designs, always focusing on
high safety standards. In addition, the fireproof door, which guar-
antees 60 min of fire resistance according to Exova Warrington fire
testing, United Kingdom BS 476 Part 22:1987 testing laboratories
certificates, meets even the most specialized requirements.
HPL coating (High Pressure Laminate) doors with metal frame are
added to the range of products offered. These doors are used in heavy-
use sites such as public buildings (hospitals, schools, offices etc.).
As market requirements for fire doors increase, Coverdoors company
acquires new fire safety and acoustic certificates. In the field of fire
safety Coverdoors has certified door for 30, 60, 90, 120min by the
certification body IFC. In the acoustic field Coverdoors has doors with
sound insulation index: 30, 32, 34, 36, 39, 42, 44dB.

Since its establishment in 1994, COVERDOORS® company
is involved in the manufacturing of interior and safety
doors. Having had a successful activity in the Greek
market and having established its products, while
adopting its corporate identity, it obtained the copyright
of its trademark in 2010. The trademark, number 207312,
was copyrighted by the Hellenic Ministry for Development,
Competitiveness and
Shipping.
Having as main aims the manufacturing of high quality
products and the complete customer satisfaction,
COVERDOORS® moves towards branded products so that
their origins can be identified by the customer. This is
accomplished with the company’s brand appearing on a
subtle yet distinctive point. Specifically, COVERDOORS®
authenticity logo appears above the internal part of the
lock of each door.
That way the customer can be certain that the door
delivered to them has been exclusively manufactured by
COVERDOORS®. The customer can now be sure that: a)
they have invested in an original Greek product, b) the
final product has been manufactured with certified and
of high quality raw materials, c) security is of the utmost
importance, d) the product is ergonomically designed,
considering the needs of the customer and
environmentally friendly, e) water soluble, incombustible
varnishes are used, f) polyurethane two-part adhesives
are used to meet the requirements of not only high

Typical door construction:
Wooden door : Frame is finger jointed (ensuring almost zero
bending +-0.2 of the door). The doors are covered on both sides with
E1 MDF of 6mm CPL/LAMITEX/LAMINATE doors and 7mm thickness for
the veneered ones. The quality class of the veneer used in the doors
is EXTRA.
Frame construction:
The frame is made of 44mm block board for the best possible
support of the door. The ledge is made of plywood and the adhesives
used are two-part polyurethane, which is essential especially in high
humidity areas such as on islands.
Finish:
The colours used on veneer doors are environmentally friendly and
non-combustible, certified by ICRO, Italy.
Standard equipment:
Three single screw hinges (diameter 14mm), an Italian lock (inox or
gold) for the interior doors and sealing rubber.
Additional core options:
Tubular chipboard (28dB sound insulation), solid chipboard, rockwool,
soundcore 3x11VL material (38dB sound insulation).
Additional accessories:
Double three-setting Italian screw hinges (diameter 14mm), bath
locks, safety locks, extra safety lock, lock with 3 locking points,
magnetic locks, MERONI and YALE doorknob locks.

Radiation doors play a significant and protective role in places with high levels of X (X-RAY) radiation, such as
hospitals and laboratories. COVERDOORS® offers wooden radiation safety doors, of European standard, with an
interior lead sheet. These doors can be single or double for places needing protection against radiation. They are
available with HPL finish.
Construction
Stiles and rails of the doors are made with 33x50mm hardwood. The core of the door is tubular chipboard. Stiles
and rails are covered on both sides with HDF, which has an inner lead layer of 1, 1.5 or 2mm thickness. The final
fortification of the door can be with a lead layer 1 to 4mm thick. The doors are pre-drilled for the lock and handle.
The lock is a special one, suitable for radiation doors. The pre-drilling for the handle and the lock are off-centred to
avoid possible leakage. In addition, heavy-type hinges are used. Finally, a lead glass window, of similar safety to the
door, can be added.
