Blue Bird uni-coat plaster is a gypsum-based plaster that is manufactured from pure calcium sulfate obtained from mines. It is finely ground and treated at high temperatures before hardening compounds are added. The plaster exhibits high strength, low shrinkage, thermal insulation, and sound absorption properties. It can be applied in a single coat on walls and ceilings, offering faster application compared to cement plaster. Blue Bird plaster is environmentally friendly and poses no health hazards.

2. Blue Bird uni-coat plaster is manufactured
from pure mineral gypsum having high
purity calcium sulfate obtained from mines.
It is washed, treated and calcined at
standard specific temperature. Pulverized to
fine mesh, sieved and hardening &
strengthening compounds are added to
give the final product, packed in 25 Kg
packets.

5.  Direct application, so there is no need of cement
plaster & POP

6. Blue Bird plaster contains no dangerous
chlorides. It retains its composition for
thousands of years testified by the
construction of the Cheops Pyramids

7. The plaster do not shrink (unlike cement)
during the drying out and hardening
process.

8.  It has very low conductivity and good
thermal properties, ensuring energy and
power saving.
 Tested in accordance to BS 874:1973.
Appendix - C, Class "A" in accordance to
DIN 4102. The thermal conductivity is 0.32
W/mK.

9. Blue Bird plasters exhibit high tensile and
flexural strength. They are less prone to
cracking or de-bonding due to thermal,
tensile and shearing movement of the
background.

10.  The plaster is made of inert materials and
it will not harbor insects or nourish the
growth of mould or fungi.
 They pose no health hazards and are
therefore frequently specified in hospitals
and clinics. They are gentle on the skin
and offer a clean, healthy environment.

11. Plastering do not require water curing
and should be permitted to dry out as
quickly as possible. It is a definite
advantage considering the weather
conditions in a tropical country like India

12. High gypsum content in the plasters
render it non-combustible (inert),
designated class ‘O’ in a accordance to
BS 476:4:1970, as it contains a high
content of crystal water. In the event of
fire, it will act as a barrier and will protect
the block/brick work, concrete and
steel.

13. Blue Bird plaster has high concentration
of calcium sulfate which acts as a
binder, a contributory factor to the
absorption of air-borne sounds.

14. Blue Bird plaster exhibits excellent
bonding properties: hence is applied in a
single coat on R.C.C. ceilings, Internal
Bare-Brick walls, Hollow Concrete Blocks
and Concrete Columns.

15. Blue Bird uni-coat plaster is a perfect rust
preventive agent and inhibits corrosion
of electric metal fittings, pipes, etc.
Metal lathing embedded in the plaster
will not corrode or rust.

16. Blue Bird plaster is pre-mixed and
available in easy to handle bags. Only
the addition of water is required. A single
coat application suffices in most
situations resulting in less wastage of
time, labor and material. Semi-skilled
masons can be taught how to apply
and achieve excellent finishes within a
few hours on site.

17. The plastering provide a smooth interior
finish for ceilings and walls, and is ideal
background for good quality paints and
wall paper finishes.

18.  The normal cement-sand plastering with
putty finishing will cost between Rs: 60-75/-
per sq feet, including labor and material
cost.
 Where as the Blue Bird uni-coat plaster will
cost only Rs: 45/- per sq feet, including
material, transportation & labor.

being far far superior compared to the
conventional cement plastering
