indicates that items

have a relationship
to each other and
become one visual
unit which helps to
organize or give

layout.

“reading” the display in
particular sequence.

often overlooked by even

Visual direction is
controlling the eye
movement of the user;
this can be achieved by
carefully selecting your
images and by well-
placed and aligned
design elements.
In the BBC example, the

this leads to "not-seeing"

along the default path as
