This document discusses using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) forward chaining techniques for prefetching in distributed file systems (DFS) for cloud computing. It begins by introducing DFS for cloud storage and issues like load balancing. It then discusses using HMM to analyze client I/O and predict future requests to prefetch relevant data. The HMM forward algorithm would be used to prefetch data from storage servers to clients proactively. This could improve performance by reducing client wait times for requested data in DFS for cloud applications.

The past decade has seen increasingly ambitious and successful methods for outsourcing computing. Approaches such as utility computing, on-demand computing, grid computing, software as a service, and cloud computing all seek to free computer applications from the limiting confines of a single computer. Software that thus runs "outside the box" can be more powerful (think Google, TeraGrid), dynamic (think Animoto, caBIG), and collaborative (think FaceBook, myExperiment). It can also be cheaper, due to economies of scale in hardware and software. The combination of new functionality and new economics inspires new applications, reduces barriers to entry for application providers, and in general disrupts the computing ecosystem. I discuss the new applications that outside-the-box computing enables, in both business and science, and the hardware and software architectures that make these new applications possible.

This presentation will provide an introduction to Eclipse Zenoh along with a crisp explanation of the challenges that motivated the creation of this project. We will go through a series of real-world use cases that demonstrate the advantages brought by Zenoh in enabling and optimising typical edge scenarios and in simplifying the development of any scale distributed applications.
Cloud computing is widely considered as potentially the next dominant technology in IT industry. It
offers basic system maintenance and scalable source management with Virtual Machines (VMs). As a essential
technology of cloud computing, VM has been a searing research issue in recent years. The high overhead of
virtualization has been well address by hardware expansion in CPU industry, and by software realization
improvement in hypervisors themselves. However, the high order on VM image storage remains a difficult
problem. Existing systems have made efforts to decrease VM image storage consumption by means of
deduplication inside a storage area network system. Nevertheless, storage area network cannot assure the
increasing demand of large-scale VM hosting for cloud computing because of its cost limitation. In this project,
we propose SILO, improved deduplication file system that has been particularly designed for major VM
deployment. Its design provide fast VM deployment with similarity and locality based fingerprint index for data
transfer and low storage consumption by means of deduplication on VM images. And implement heart beat
protocol in Meta Data Server (MDS) to recover the data from data server. It also provides a comprehensive set of
storage features including backup server for VM images, on-demand attractive through a network, and caching
through local disks by copy-on-read techniques. Experiments show that SILO features execute well and introduce
minor performance overhead.

ABSTRACT
Data in the cloud is increasing rapidly. This huge amount of data is stored in various data centers around the world. Data deduplication allows lossless compression by removing the duplicate data. So, these data centers are able to utilize the storage efficiently by removing the redundant data. Attacks in the cloud computing infrastructure are not new, but attacks based on the deduplication feature in the cloud computing is relatively new and has made its urge nowadays. Attacks on deduplication features in the cloud environment can happen in several ways and can give away sensitive information. Though, deduplication feature facilitates efficient storage usage and bandwidth utilization, there are some drawbacks of this feature. In this paper, data deduplication features are closely examined. The behavior of data deduplication depending on its various parameters are explained and analyzed in this paper.

Enhancing Data Storage Security in Cloud Computing Through SteganographyIDES Editor
in cloud computing data storage is a significant issue
because the entire data reside over a set of interconnected
resource pools that enables the data to be accessed through
virtual machines. It moves the application software’s and
databases to the large data centers where the management of
data is actually done. As the resource pools are situated over
various corners of the world, the management of data and
services may not be fully trustworthy. So, there are various
issues that need to be addressed with respect to the
management of data, service of data, privacy of data, security
of data etc. But the privacy and security of data is highly
challenging. To ensure privacy and security of data-at-rest in
cloud computing, we have proposed an effective and a novel
approach to ensure data security in cloud computing by means
of hiding data within images following is the concept of
steganography. The main objective of this paper is to prevent
data access from cloud data storage centers by unauthorized
users. This scheme perfectly stores data at cloud data storage
centers and retrieves data from it when it is needed.
Survey on Privacy- Preserving Multi keyword Ranked Search over Encrypted Clou...Editor IJMTER
The advent of cloud computing, data owners are motivated to outsource their complex
data management systems from local sites to commercial public cloud for great flexibility and
economic savings. But for protecting data privacy, sensitive data has to be encrypted before
outsourcing.Considering the large number of data users and documents in cloud, it is crucial for
the search service to allow multi-keyword query and provide result similarity ranking to meet the
effective data retrieval need. Related works on searchable encryption focus on single keyword
search or Boolean keyword search, and rarely differentiate the search results. We first propose a
basic MRSE scheme using secure inner product computation, and then significantly improve it to
meet different privacy requirements in two levels of threat models. The Incremental High Utility
Pattern Transaction Frequency Tree (IHUPTF-Tree) is designed according to the transaction
frequency (descending order) of items to obtain a compact tree.
By using high utility pattern the items can be arranged in an efficient manner. Tree structure
is used to sort the items. Thus the items are sorted and frequent pattern is obtained. The frequent
pattern items are retrieved from the database by using hybrid tree (H-Tree) structure. So the
execution time becomes faster. Finally, the frequent pattern item that satisfies the threshold value
is displayed.

Cloud Computing Using Encryption and Intrusion Detectionijsrd.com
Cloud computing provides many benefits to the users such as accessibility and availability. As the data is available over the cloud, it can be accessed by different users. There may be sensitive data of organization. This is the one issue to provide access to authenticated users only. But the data can be accessed by the owner of the cloud. So to avoid getting data being accessed by the cloud owner, we will use the intrusion detection system to provide security to the data. The other issue is to save the data backup in other cloud in encrypted form so that load balancing can be done. This will help the user with data availability in case of failure of one cloud.
Fragmentation of Data in Large-Scale System For Ideal Performance and SecurityEditor IJCATR
Cloud computing is becoming prominent trend which offers the number of significant advantages. One of the ground laying
advantage of the cloud computing is the pay-as-per-use, where according to the use of the services, the customer has to pay. At present,
user’s storage availability improves the data generation. There is requiring farming out such large amount of data. There is indefinite
large number of Cloud Service Providers (CSP). The Cloud Service Providers is increasing trend for many number of organizations and
as well as for the customers that decreases the burden of the maintenance and local data storage. In cloud computing transferring data to
the third party administrator control will give rise to security concerns. Within the cloud, compromisation of data may occur due to
attacks by the unauthorized users and nodes. So, in order to protect the data in cloud the higher security measures are required and also
to provide security for the optimization of the data retrieval time. The proposed system will approach the issues of security and
performance. Initially in the DROPS methodology, the division of the files into fragments is done and replication of those fragmented
data over the cloud node is performed. Single fragment of particular file can be stored on each of the nodes which ensure that no
meaningful information is shown to an attacker on a successful attack. The separation of the nodes is done by T-Coloring in order to
prohibit an attacker to guess the fragment’s location. The complete data security is ensured by DROPS methodology
Effective & Flexible Cryptography Based Scheme for Ensuring User`s Data Secur...ijsrd.com

In contrast to traditional solutions, where the IT services are under proper physical, logical and personnel controls, cloud computing moves the application software and databases to the large data centers, where the management of the data and services may not be fully trustworthy. This unique attribute, however, poses many new security challenges which have not been well understood. In this article, we focus on cloud data storage security, which has always been an important aspect of quality of service. To ensure the correctness of users' data in the cloud, we propose an effective and flexible cryptography based scheme. Extensive security and performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme is highly efficient and resilient against malicious data modification attack.

Public Key Encryption algorithms Enabling Efficiency Using SaaS in Cloud Comp...Editor IJMTER
The Most great challenging in Cloud computing is Security. Here Security plays key role
in this paper proposed concept mainly deals with security at the end user access. While coming to the
end user access that are connected through the public networks. Here the end user wants to access his
application or services protected by the unauthorized persons. In this area if we want to apply
encryption or decryption methods such as RSA, 3DES, MD5, Blow fish. Etc.,
Whereas we can utilize these services at the end user access in cloud computing. Here there is
problem of encryption and decryption of the messages, services and applications. They are is lot of
time to take encrypt as well as decrypt and more number of processing capabilities are needed to use
the mechanism. For that problem we are introducing to use of cloud computing in SaaS model. i.e.,
scalable is applicable in this area so whenever it requires we can utilize the SaaS model.
In Cloud computing use of computing resources (hardware and software) that are delivered as a
service over Internet network. In advance earlier there is problem of using key size in various
algorithm like 64 bit it take some long period to encrypt the data.
Dynamic Resource Allocation and Data Security for CloudAM Publications
Cloud computing is the next generation of IT organization. Cloud computing moves the software and
databases to the large centres where the management of services and data may not be fully trusted. In this system, we
focus on cloud data storage security, which has been an important aspect of quality of services. To ensure the
correctness of user’s data in the cloud, we propose an effective scheme with Advanced Encryption Standard and MD5
algorithm. Extensive security and performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme is highly efficient. In
proposed work we have developed efficient parallel data processing in clouds and present our research project for
parallel security. Parallel security is the data processing framework to explicitly exploit the dynamic storage along with
data security. We have proposed a strong, formal model for data security on cloud and corruption detection.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
