 Students can send request to the teacher for supervised.
 Teachers can select students from pending requests.
 Teachers and students can communicate with each other .
 Teachers and students can exchange research documents.
3
Motivation
In our department Thesis/Project management is so complicated. It takes
more 4 years sometimes to complete the pre-defense and Final defense.
Because the whole system of our department about thesis/project works
manually which takes more times. It wastes time of our respected teachers and
also students.
So we are motivated to create a system that makes these complication issues
get easier .Teachers and students get benefited by this system.
4
Objectives
The main objectives of this system to make Thesis managing platform on the
context of Dept. of CSE,IIUC.
 To amalgamate all of our respected teachers and students in a common
platform that research process of our dept can be easier.
 To increase the communication between supervisor and students which makes
the research process faster.
 To store our teachers workings records and interests so that a student can easily
find their supervisor according to his interest filed.
5
Significant Prior Works
There are some custom systems according to their own requirements like
UMEXPERT(University Of Malaya).
UMEXPERT:
 This is the official system of University Of Malaya.
 This is also an academic portal of this university.
6
Limitations Of Subsisting System
7
Methodology
To develop this system we use linear-sequencial life cycle model because
 It is simple and easy to understand and use.
 It is easy to manage due to the rigidity of the model – each phase has specific
deliverables and a review process.
 It works well for those projects where requirements are clearly defined and very
well understood.
