- 1. Trapped Under “The Descentmeets Texas Chainsaw Massacre”
- 2. Narrative The film isabout a group of 18 year old American teenagers, on a school trip. They are in the woods, and someone comes across a large hole in the ground, as they all take a look inside they hear a bang and something collapses on top of the exit, and they are trapped. After they split up to look for an exit, we see a shadowed person kill some of the students, they regroup but some are missing, they look and find some dead bodies. They begin to think there is someone else down there with them. However they begin to feel paranoid and turn on each other, with almost everyone having a motive it is unclear who the killer could be, after some arguments they disband again, and the killer is revealed to us when we see him kill another victim, when trying to kill again he is witnessed and they run and tell everyone, and suddenly the chase is on. After being hunted and killed 2 survive and escape, after believing that they killed the murderer, but we see his eye open at the end, setting up a possible sequel.
- 3. *Motives - White Characters Charactersinclude: John Smith- Main protagonist – He is a the schools quarter back, but is still a nice person Jessica Smith- John’s Sister – She is an average, pretty girl, with a normal relationship with her brother - Wants to be popular and is sick of her brothers school status Rachel Parker- Johns Girlfriend – She is a pretty cheerleader and the schools typical popular girl – She found the hole Joe Woods – Johns Rival - Another football player for the team, but he is a bully and hates john – Nasty person and could want to take Johns place James Grant – Johns Best friend – Also a football player, he is also shown as nice Sarah Brown – Jessica’s Best Friend – Been best friends for years , shown as nice Jamie Smart – The school nerd - doesn’t have any friends – Wants revenge for bullied Amy, Holly and Megan – Rachel friends – Also stuck up cheerleader friends Peter, Ryan, Sarah, Lauren – The School Nobody’s – First to be killed Mrs Roberts – The nice teacher who everyone likes but pushes around – Tired of being pushed around Mr Addams – The strict, mean unlikeable teacher – The mean teacher, hates his students Who is the murderer? ..............................
- 4. The Murderer ............... JAMESGRANT: Johns Best Friend Tired of living in everybody else’s shadow, and not being fully noticed by everyone, he lashes out in anger and wants to kill everyone. He plants bombs, ahead of the trip so that the rocks near by explode trapping them.
- 5. Genre: Horror-Mystery • Thefilms is initially a horror film, but as we don’t know to the killer is and we as an audience are trying to figure it out makes it a hybrid with mystery. It is a typical horror film as it has a mass murdering villain, as well as a final girl and a Hero. With the blood gore and violence to match!
- 6. Cast and Director In the tradition of horror films we wanted the students to be relatively unknown actors, this creates a sense of realism. However we did want the teachers and Director to be known so we have some star power Mr Addams: Samuel L Jackson Director: Wes Craven He is a big star and would be an attraction to the Mr Audience, he has experience in horror films, but He is known as the master of Hasn’t done one recently suspense, and is ultimately one of the best horror film directors of all time Mrs Roberts: Jamie Lee Curtis Known for being in classic horror films means She will be perfect for this role

The film it’s self is a mix of classic horror films but with modern twists, it has a mix of suspense and thrills but with the violence that young people today love. It will earn a lot of money because there is not many horror films being released recently but younger people love them!
