The Yurok Tribe had clothes. For example, the
Yurok wore deer or cow hide pants, to warm legs on
cold days. Next, on warm days men wore leather
straps and no shirt. In addition, kids and women
wore wool coats to keep warm. Ultimately, everyone
wore leather boots to protect feet.
The Yurok had tools. They had a scythe to kill
animals. They used knives to skin and carve. They
used bows to hunt. They used axes to hunt and cut
trees. Last, the girls use baskets to get berries.
The Yurok Tribe had transportation. First, they
had canoes for traveling across water. Secondly, they
had horses to go on land. Last, the Yurok would run,
jog, and sprint.
The Yurok Tribe ate food. First, salmon and
berries for one meal. Next, nuts and seaweed could be
another meal.
The Yurok had crafts and jewelry. First, they made
canoes. Next, they cut wood to make a fire place.
Third, they made baskets of grass. Last, kids made
bracelets.
Yurok had chiefs and heroes. There were Squanto,
doctor, and wallaious because they saved lives.
Yurok Had struggles and enemies. First, bears
would kill or injure tribe members. Next, beavers
would cut trees and break unsteardy houses. Last, the
first winter killed a lot of people.
The Yurok tribe spoke language. First, they spoke
Karuk also know as up river. Secondly, they spoke weak
English. Finally, they made up a language that nobody
else spoke.
The Yurok lived places. First, they lived in
redwood forests. Next, they lived in caves. Last, they
lived by the pacific coast.
The Yurok had shelter. First, they had redwood
houses. On the side of the house there were hole as
doors. Last, many families could live in one house.
The Yurok had dances and games. First, there was
a brush dance. Next, they had a
kick dance were you would dance wile kicking. Third,
they did the doctor dance. Last, the tossle and stick
games were for kids.
The Yurok had tribe had roles for everyone. First,
men hunted for deer , elk and hare. Next, women
picked apples, fruit, and nuts. Third, kids would play
and get sticks and nuts. Last, men also built houses
and tools.
