The Yurok tribe lived in redwood houses along rivers and caves in the redwood forests of the Pacific coast. They spoke the Karok or Up River language and had their own distinct tools, clothing, transportation, and social roles. Families lived together in large houses and the tribe participated in dances, games, and crafts like basket weaving while men hunted and built tools and homes. Chiefs and medicine men were considered heroes for helping the tribe survive struggles like harsh winters and beaver damage.

2. SHELTER
The Yurok tribe had redwood houses. In
addition, in the side of the house there is a
hole were the people can use the restroom.
Most importantly, multiple family’s can live in
one house.

3. LANGUAGE
The Yurok tribe spoke karok also know as
the up river language. The Yurok tribe also
spoke weak english. The Yurok tribe made
up the language and nobody else spoke it at
the time.

4. LOCATION
The Yurok tribe lived in the redwood
forest, in the pacific coast. Furthermore, they
lived by rivers and caves.

5. TRANSPORTATION
The Yurok tribe had transportation. The
Yurok tribe had canoes for traveling across
water. They had horses for traveling on
land. Also, the Yurok tribe would run, jog, and
sprint.

6. ROLES OF THE TRIBE
The Yurok had tribe roles. First, men
hunted for deer, elk, and hare. Next, women
pick apples and fruit. Third, would play and
get sticks and nuts. Last, men built houses
and tools.

7. TOOLS
The Yurok used a syth to kill animals.
Second, they used knives to carve wood to
make a fire. Next, Yurok indian girls used
basket to collect berries and nuts. Last,
Yurok used bows and arrows to shoot
salmon and bears.

8. CLOTHES
The Yurok tribe had clothes For example,
the Yurok wore deer or cow skin pants, to
warm legs on cold days. Next, on war days
men wore leather straps and no shirt. In
addition, kids and women wore wool coats to
keep warm. Ultimantely, everyone wore
leather boots to protect feet.

9. GAMES/DANCES
Yurok did a brush dance. Second, they
did a kick dance were you kick when
dancing. Next, they did the doctor dance
which sounds weird. Last, they had 2 games
tossle and stick game for the kids.

10. HEROS AND CHEIFS
Yurok’s cheifs and heros were
Sqaunto,doctors, and warriors because they
saved people.

11. STRUGELS
Bevers were srugels to the Yurok
because they ate the wood on there dams
and people died in winter a lot too.

12. CRAFTS
The Yurok tribe made canoes, giant
fires, and baskets. All of these crafts were
used for something
