Regarding education, over half of university students were satisfied with their academic choice but only 22% with their university environment. High school students gave low satisfaction ratings for teaching methods and school environment. In just over a decade, it’s estimated that Millennials will make up nearly 75% of the workforce. That’s why it’s essential for companies and their leaders to understand who Millennials are and what makes them tick. Or, in other words, how to keep them engaged. Engaged employees have an enormous impact on customer experience, the quality of products and services, and a company’s bottom line. Millennials are changing the rules regarding employee engagement. The document is a report on a survey of over 7,000 college-bound high school students on their use of social media in the college search process. Some key findings include:

The Creating IT Futures Foundation commissioned research to better understand how teens plan for their futures — including awareness of IT careers, outreach efforts that work best, and the role parents play in decision-making. During BDPA’s Annual Conference, Charles Eaton, CEO, Creating IT Futures, presented the research, along with lessons learned from projects in Chicago that are preparing young people for entry-level IT positions.

This document summarizes the key findings from a survey of Vietnamese youth conducted by AIESEC in 2014. The survey included both qualitative focus groups and a quantitative online survey to understand how Vietnamese youth aged 16-30 currently study, work, communicate, and engage in social causes. Some of the main findings were that Vietnamese youth place a high value on academic results but also want diverse learning experiences. They also highly value soft skills and teaching methods when choosing a university. Additionally, most respondents were confident they could find preferred employment within a few months of graduating, though many were also interested in pursuing further overseas study.
